Remember Me Round Up
There is so much new information about “Remember Me” coming out that we decided to do one big post covering some of the stories. First up is an interview that Planet 46 did with Rob Pattinson and the film makers about how Twilight has changed everything for him.
Director Allen Coulter said the following: “I knew when Rob was going to the bathroom accompanied by about 14 guards that we had real security issues. I mean, we expected something, but not what we got. Joe Reidy, a masterful assistant director who’s been with DiCaprio working with Scorsese and others, even he was staggered by the intensity of it. It was tough.”
There is also an interview with MTV where Rob gives the details on a scene that was cut from the final version of the film.
And finally Clevver TV has this video interview with Rob!
Official Eclipse Movie Website Site
The official Summit website for the next movie in the Twilight Saga, EclipseTheMovie.com, is live and up and running! For now, it only has the trailer and a download for the iPhone, but we’re happy to see it running as something other than a place holder! Over the next few months we hope to see more footage and images as they become available.
Fearnet Interviews Chris Weitz
Fearnet has a great interview with New Moon director Chris Weitz where he talks about the commentary for the DVD and some of the choices that were made in the process of film making. Chris had this to say about adapting a book to a movie in relation to the “months” passage of the book:
I think that the passage of time was an open opportunity for us to take something that was a literary device that works rather nicely in the book and turn it into a kind of elegant visual effects shot that doesn’t necessarily seem like a very CGI-intensive shot, but it in fact was very labor-intensive and was done over the course of half of a year. The elements that go into it, it has to be shot in numerous passes in order to get the various seasons outside the window and all of that kind of thing, and I always knew this would be a really interesting way to use a motion-control camera to show the passage of time. So that I saw as an opportunity to expand upon what was in the book.

NPR reads Twilight… Seriously
We got a PM from James at Ideal Living that NPR’s Monkey See “I will if you will” readers choice is “Twilight.” They poked fun at the Eclipse teaser for the trailer a few days ago and got the idea from one of their twitter followers that maybe they should actually read the books, at least one of them, to find out what all the fuss is about. They tweeted about the possibility and got a surprisingly positive response. So they went for it.
“There are several reasons to do this. One is curiosity. Another is just tasting what’s in the water in the culture you’re living in. If you fear it will be bad, consider the fact that if the book is actually bad, you can say the book is bad and actually know what you’re talking about, instead of relying on the many other people who say the book is bad. If you’re going to crack on it, you might as well have something informed to say. Another is that if the book is 90 percent bad and 10 percent good, you will be surprised by the 10 percent.”
There are rules involved, including the one where they ask that those of us who have already read the book and might get upset by people not liking the book, they ask that we steer clear of their discussion. So folks, no hating on NPR if they don’t like the book! Personally, I want to applaud them for just giving it a try, something I know so many people are not willing to do. You may be pleased to know that they have another rule that says their readers really do have to give the book a chance and not just spout hate for the fandom.
They have a week to read and will discuss their findings on March 22. We will be checking back with NPR to see what their final verdict is, although given the comments on their blog, I’m guessing that many will be entertained by the story even if they don’t find the writing to be divine. Visit their blog for all the details.

Happy Birthday Edi Gathegi
T
he Lexicon would like to wish Edi Gathegi a very happy belated birthday! His birthday was March 10 and we missed it due to all the trailer hype. So we’re correcting that right now! The one time we saw him at a Convention, he totally rocked the house and had us in stitches. I still can not watch his death scene in New Moon without hearing him say, “Do you see cows in my eyes?”
And Edi, if you happen see this message, we still love black olives!
