Fan Encounter with Michael Sheen

Just because he tops the list of Twilight stars I would love to meet, I couldn’t resist sharing this encounter a fan had with Aro – er, I mean Michael Sheen.

“I was with my family at the Festival of Books at UCLA and looked up to see Sheen right next to my husband. I said, “Hi Mr. Sheen” and he turned around and said “hello”. I asked if I could take a picture with him and if not because it might start a crowd it was okay and he said “of course”. He was so gracious and sweet. We took a picture, which I was not photo ready for, and after quick talk and we were off. What a nice addition to our afternoon!”

Kellan Lutz in People Magazine

Kellan eyesPeople Magazine has a few tid bits from Kella Lutz in their current issue – six tid bits to be exact.  The page is titled “6 Revelations from Kellan Lutz.”  He talks about his role model, who he would most like to meet, and what makes him feel famous.  By my personal favorite revelation is that Kellan prefers to be hugged when greeting someone.  Having been the recipient of a hug from Kellan, I have to say that he is a wonderful hugger.  (Is that a word?)

Reelz Channel Trailer Analysis

Reelz Channel is chiming in with their thoughts on the final trailer for The Twilight Saga: Eclispe.  They take it scene by scene and very nearly frame by frame.  The commentary is rather quirky and somewhat snarky with lots of little bits that made me laugh such as: “From the worldwide bestseller” appears on screen, y’know, just in case you didn’t know the movie was based on a book.

MTV Summarizes Live Web Chat

Nikki Reed given style award by US Weekly

Us Weekly’s Hot Hollywood Style bash was held on Thursday night.  Among the guests were Nikki Reed and Edi Gathegi.  Stars known for their fashion sense were awarded in some very clever categories.  Nikki Reed was named “The Colorful Coquette.”  But the top award for “Style Icon of the Decade” went to Jennifer Lopez.  Read about all the awards named over at the LA Times.  Check out all the photos from the event at US Weekly.

Official Twilight Convention in Arlington, VA: Day 2

Pel and Be My Escape will be tweeting from the Official Twilight Convention all day today.  Tickets are still available at the door for those of you in the area who want to participate.  The guests for today are Kiowa Gordon, Mike Welch, and Edi Gathegi. At some point today, the ladies will have the chance for a one on one interview with Edi and we would love to have your suggestions for questions to ask the nomadic vampire.

The Hillywood Show Watches the Eclipse Trailer

So we were backstage waiting for the Official Twilight Convention in VA to start and we realized that Oprah had the trailer on her site. So, we showed it to Hannah, Hillary, Drew, Jacob, and Kyle of the Hillywood Show who were about to go on stage to open the convention. We recorded it on a Flip and the editing software was being EVIL it wouldn’t let us name the file so it ended up as being “video 41” by default…go figure.

Make sure you stop by the Hillywood site and let them know what you think! Also the girls are fundraising for their next parody. If you enjoy their stuff consider giving them a donation.
