Live Streaming of Eclipse: Two Options

Unlike last year when the only outlet live streaming the Eclipse Red Carpet was MySpace with the unforgettable Anya Marina (We’ll leave the description at that, pro or con she was unforgettable.), this year there are two options for live streaming.

Option 1:

Myspace
Host: Quddus, Shira Lazar and Jordyn Taylor

Info: MySpace will host a live stream of Summit Entertainment’s The Twilight Saga: Eclipse red carpet arrivals at the premiere on Thursday, June 24th at www.myspace.com/twilight. Moviegoers across the globe will be able to experience the red carpet first-hand and in real-time. Viewers will also be able to take part by posting comments or questions to The Twilight Sage: Eclipse official MySpace page that may then be presented to the celebrities during the broadcast. The red carpet arrivals will stream live from the Los Angeles Film Festival beginning at 5:30 PM PT.

WHERE: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Official MySpace page
DATE: Thursday, June 24
TIME: 5:30 PM PT

Option 2:

MTV
Host:
Josh Horowitz

Info: Hollywood Crush and MTV.com will be providing an “Eclipse” premiere LIVE STREAM from the red carpet at the Nokia Theater on that hotly anticipated Thursday night starting at 6:30p.m. PST (June 24 is only nine days away!). With MTV New’s Josh Horowitz — and an accompanying camera crew — on a special platform interviewing all the famous faces as they go by, you’ll be able to watch all the action and fashion as it happens. It doesn’t get much better than this … uh unless of course we figure out a way to make our telecast 3-D. Wishful thinking!

The Tonight Show: Jay Leno Interviews Robert Pattinson About Eclipse

Now for those of you who remember Twilight history, you might recall that Emma Roberts (who was also on Leno last night) was once suggested by Stephenie Meyer as a possible Bella back in the days before there was a movie. The fan reaction was visceral to say the least prompting Stephenie to write on her then active MySpace; “I didn’t realize that Emma Roberts had personally run over so many people’s dogs.” Now for those of you who are really good at trivia, do you remember what movie Stephenie had just seen Emma in that sparked the fan outcry?

Also, Emma is a huge Twilight fan. She obsessively went through all the books while taping the movie Valentines Day. There are multiple pictures of her devouring the books on her filming breaks. It was even mentioned on the George Lopez show a few months back, but sadly no one recorded the footage.

Hit Fix: The Cullen Circus?

Peter Facinelli, Liz Reaser, and Nikki reed explain it all.

On The Red Carpet: Press Day Interviews The Eclipse Cast

MTV: Robert Pattinson Talks Tent Scene Reshoots

Robert talks about the tent scene reshoot. At the time various gossip sites tried to insinuate that the film was in massive trouble due to these reshoots. One went so far as to state that David Slade was being replaced, and Summit was in negotiations with Catherine Hardwicke and Chris Weitz to rescue the film. Obviously, this later proved to be complete fabrication. Ironically enough Rob saw the rough cut of the film the day after his scene was reshot (probably why he remembers it so clearly as you will see in the video) it was also the same version shown to the Oprah audience roughly 5 days later. So the film was essentially done at the time of the reshoots minus minor tweaking. Once the film opens in wide release, Alphie will give her thoughts on what the differences between the two versions were and which she liked better and why.

The LA Twilight Convention Photo Tour

Kaleb Nation, the Twilight Guy, has put together a photo montage of the Eclipse cast as seen at the Official Twilight Convention in Los Angeles. There are fantastic shots of Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson…everyone.

Jen and Laura (Be My Escape and Pel) will be at the Official Twilight Convention this weekend in Phoenix.

FearNet: Exclusive: Melissa Rosenberg on ‘Eclipse,’ ‘Breaking Dawn,’ and Feathers

melissa-rosenbergheadshotFearNet and Jen Yamato are back with another great Q & A, this time with Melissa Rosenberg.

You’ve now written three full films in the franchise; how much has each script responded to critiques, from fans and/or critics, of the previous films?

I’m not sure; everybody who’s involved in them, we really try to do our best to stay true to the book. There are going to be some people who don’t like that and some people who do, and if you start responding to the people who don’t like it you start pissing off the people who did. So you have to be true to your own creative instincts for what works and what doesn’t. If people ignored the movie and boycotted it coming in and it didn’t do well, then I think we would be listening. But the movies have done tremendously, so obviously somebody likes them! So we keep going with our gut.

How early on did Stephenie share with you the events and character details that made it into her new Twilight novella, The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner?

It would have been in the outline stage. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to introduce Riley; that was one of my first ideas: let’s open on Riley and how he was created. Coming up with a back story for him and all of that. I think I had probably finished a draft of the outline, it was somewhere around then, and I was asking [Stephenie] about what the newborns were up to — what was going on for them while Bella’s living her life, because they’re living it simultaneously? And that’s when she shared it with me and I was really able to fill out some of their activities and how Riley was directing them. So it was right there in the beginning.”
