Movies.Com Covers the Changing Look of the Twilight Saga
This week in Laura’s column on Movies.com she covers the ever changing looks of the the Twilight Saga on screen.
“Change. Either you’re a person who likes change, or you go with the “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” theory. The Twilight Saga has had its changes, ranging from casting, to directors, to character appearance, to Edward’s Volvo, and those are just for starters. Most fans realize that when you are going to adapt a book to screen, or switch out directors, inevitably, some things are going to get cut or changed. The question is how much change is good and how much is distracting.

Cam Gigandet Still Gets Recognized From Twilight
Next Movie interviewed Cam Gigandet about his movie Priest heading to DVD. This is what he had to say about the Twilight Saga’s impact on his career:
In the final analysis, do you get more attention from fans for killing Marissa Cooper or breaking Bella’s leg?
[Laughs] I’m going to have to go with the “Twilight” fans because… they are really never-ending. I played paintball this past weekend with my dad — the whole day, people would come up and say “Oh, you’re the guy from –” and if it was a girl, without fail, the girl would bring up ‘Twilight.” They used to bring up “The O.C.” but not so much anymore.
The guys who came up to me this past weekend — it was always “Never Back Down.” Which is interesting.
Thankfully, “Twilight” set me up for a really long time. Everything that has such success and a fan following makes my job easier. It’ll always help me, for the rest of my career.

At Comic-Con people camped our for two days to be at the panel for ‘Twilight’. Has the level of intense fandom had an effect on you and your career?
Tinsel Korey: Obviously it opens doors, in a way, having something big like that, absolutely. I don’t know if the level of work has gone further. I already had a career that was sort of building before ‘Twilight’. So it definitely gave it a little bit of a bump, but I was already going in that direction anyways and so it just sort of kept that steady pace of work for me. [Read more…]
