Breaking Dawn Premiere–101

We’ve been getting hammered with questions about the impending Breaking Dawn Part 2 premiere from both fans who have attended before and new fans. The long and short of it is that we don’t have any information.

Summit Entertainment is now owned by Lionsgate, as with any corporate restructuring we imagine there may be some changes. If for no other reason, we’ve seen this thing get bigger and bigger every year and the Nokia plaza (which is private property) only has so much room. There will probably be certain protocols put in place, but we have no details.

However we do want to say this because these seem to be our most frequent questions:

Q: How do I get tickets to the premiere?

Answer: You don’t. You have to be invited by someone. Last year Summit happened to give a ticket to every fan in the plaza, but that was the first time that happened. If you get to the plaza, you get to camp out an see stars. If you’re lucky and up close maybe you get to snag a few autographs and a photo or two, but there are no guarantees.

Q: How do I get tickets  to the after party?

Answer: You don’t. You have to be connected to someone in Hollywood, win a contest, etc. They are not up for public sale.

Question: But Robert, Kristen, and Taylor on Twitter said…

Answer: Well, considering that Rob, Kristen, and Taylor have no Twitter account, and Rob and Kristen don’t have Facebook, whoever you’ve been talking to is not who you think you’ve been talking to, and they are about as reliable of a  source as my great aunt Susan.

So, just to repeat, we have no info. Anyone claiming to have info doesn’t. There is nothing official anywhere. As soon as we know, you’ll know!

When Looking Like an Alien is a Good Thing…We Think

According to Digital Spy, Robert Pattinson described what Kristen Stewart looked like as pregnant Bella to Premiere magazine,”There are scenes where Bella looks like an alien. When the baby eats her from inside, she looks so thin and ghastly. Kristen had to wear this horrible make-up and when I’d see her come on set, I’d ask the crew, ‘Are you sure we’re filming Twilight? Isn’t it supposed to be harmless and PG-13?”

Sounds to us like they are going for authentic to the book, what do you think?

The magazine hits stands today in France. You can throw the online version through Google translate to get a partial idea.

USA Breaking Dawn Premiere Date and Location Announced

Dig out those sleeping bags, make those plane reservations, Summit Entertainment just announced the date and location of the Breaking Dawn premiere in the USA. No word yet if there will be other premieres/fan events in other countries.

Here is what we know so far:

The Breaking Dawn World Premiere will be at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on November 14, 2011.

This is the same location as the Eclipse premiere. We expect that Summit will have future information on when, where, and how fans can camp out. Since the Nokia is in downtown Los Angeles and is is a complex of private property there will no doubt be very detailed instructions. As soon as we have them, we will bring them to you.

Robert Pattinson on Cover of French Magazine, Première

TY to Twilight France who alerted us to Robert Pattinson’s latest cover shot in the upcoming issue of Première.

According to one of the magazine’s staffers, Jeanmarc Morandini, this is what we can expect. “The next issue of the magazine ” PREMIERE” , which hits newsstands next Wednesday, will please the fans of Robert Pattinson and TWILIGHT! In brief, there will be an exclusive interview with Pattinson Robert and a report on New Moon…the second movie episode of the saga was filmed partly within the medieval city of Montepulciano in Italy.  This interview gave  occasion for Pattinson Robert, while maintaining his sense of humor,  to take stock of his  sudden notoriety…and his projects after TWILIGHT. In particular, discover six pages of exclusive reports and new images…”

Red Carpet Photos

Here is a small collection of photos that were taken from our red carpet coverage.  At 53 seconds the person is Perry Farrel who contributed to the sound track.

Some things to note now that I have had time to process it all.  The actors are all incredibly kind and took the time to stop and talk with us even though they were supposed to be heading inside for the premiere.  Kellan Lutz has the most amazing presence and pictures do not due him justice.  Simply mentioning the word Twilight among the crowd that had gathered could induce ear shattering screams (Kaleb tested out this theory).  I am sure there will be more as my brain decompresses and I actually get sleep.  Enjoy the pictures!!

Premiere Day!!!!

OK here is your premiere update directly from LA.  I just went to drive by the theater so that when I have to arrive for press coverage I can be prepared.  The scene is crazy.  The four blocks around the 2 theaters, where the premiere will be held, are over flowing with people.  Literally there are lines around all 4 of them with hundreds maybe thousands in each.  Fans of all ages and even guys have lined up to try to gain entry into the fan watch area.  Below are some pictures of them setting up the red carpet and the fans waiting.

I will be heading out shortly to get my place on the carpet and hopefully a few interviews.  Yesterdays podcast was amazing!!!!  The actors were incredibly nice and Peter, even though he had to leave, went down the signing line to make sure everyone got an autograph that was supposed to.  That footage should be up soon.

More to come from premiere day later!!!
