Twilight Reaches One Million Followers on Twitter

As of this afternoon, Twilight is the first film franchise to reach one million followers on twitter!  You can join in by visiting @twilight on twitter.  Summit has released this special thank you video to pay respect to all the fans who have supported the films over the last several years.

Video: MTV Asks Rob “Have You Ever…”

MTV First sat down with Robert Pattinson to discuss Cosmopolis. The interview started off with a round of “Have you ever…” questions for Rob. As for the rest of the interview, we have to give a round of applause to Josh Horowitz for being ultra professional and very respectful by keeping the discussion on track and away from Rob’s personal life.

You can watch all the clips at MTV.

New Face Friday: Meet Rami Malek as Benjamin in Breaking Dawn

As part of our ongoing New Face Friday series the Twilight fansites had a chance to interview Rami Malek who plays Benjamin of the Egyptian coven. If you need a refresher on that character, check him out in our character bios.

Have you gotten to see any of your scenes on film yet- and if so what you thought  of the special effects?

“Great question I had an ADR* session, I’m sure you guys are familiar with that right?? (ADR stands for Automated Dialog Replacement, it’s where they clean up poor quality sound in the editing room)  So I got to see some of the temporary effects they weren’t quite done but as far as I was concerned they were good enough for me- they really looked brilliant-vibrant and felt very real- I was happy to see that because there were points that I was concerned about- I’m always concerned watching a movie- when something looks as if it was developed from a computer and you can see when it looks generated by a computer it really takes one out of the film so I was happy to see that it really just looks as if I was doing these in reality”

Stephenine has recently released the “The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide” which had a huge backstory between the Egyptian coven and I know we’ve already sampled a little bit of what we are going to see from you-did we get any of that feud with the Volturi history from you guys?

“Well after reading the novel I came to the conclusion that there was going to be a lot of work I had to do because there wasn’t that much said in her novel- so I came up with a lot of ideas and Angela who plays Tia came up with a lot of ideas and we shared them over the course of filming- and when we met Stephenie she was able to give us a real concrete backstory which wasn’t far off from the things that we had created on our own. It was a very special feeling to have that acknowledgement from her that we were on the right track with her story from things that we were coming up with from our own crazy imagination”

Ashley Greene Compares Twilight Experiences to Her New Movie Apparition

Collider interviews Ashley Greene about her upcoming thriller Apparition and some Twilight experience that crossed over into this new film.

Are you enjoying working within the horror genre?

GREENE: I am. Even though Twilight is in the vampire realm, it’s completely different than any vampire film and I don’t think would be really classified as horror. With The Apparition, the nice part about it is that they are certainly making it more of a psychological thriller than slasher horror. I don’t have too much interest in doing that. But, when they make it more psychological and it’s something that really scares you to the core, watching films like that, for me at least, is much more interesting and it affects you much more. Because The Apparition is something I’ve never dealt with before, it’s interesting to see how you relate to something and how you portray something when you haven’t quite experienced it yet.

Is it a very physical role?

GREENE: It was physical. It’s probably been one of the most emotionally and physically demanding roles. Doing the whole Twilight thing, there’s a little bit of fighting, but it’s different. We’ve gotten a little banged up and shaken around, and there’s been a lot of bumps and bruises and sore muscles.

But, you do scream in this, don’t you?

GREENE: Not really.

Not one screaming scene?

GREENE: I have fought, tooth and nail, to not have this girl running around, screaming and crying the whole time. If it is screaming, it’s not the typical, “Look at me, standing there screaming.” It’s more of that noise that’s just forced out of your body. It’s not the typical scream. I think silence is sometimes a lot scarier than someone screaming.

Robert Pattinson Fans Leap to Defend Him From Prying Questions

This one provides a lesson for all press thinking that Twilight audiences are looking to hear Robert Pattinson asked about his personal life. It’s probably no surprise to Twilight fans that we want to hear about his upcoming work, not him going on about problems with his relationship with Kristen Stewart.

Cute Baby Alert: Jackson Rathbone Introduces His Son

Jackson Rathbone, new dad, there’s a video…need we say more? Check it out on People TY to Emily

Laura got Jackson to comment briefly on his son when she interviewed him during Comic Con for Movies.com.

Movies.com: Jackson, one of the big themes of Breaking Dawn Part 2 is the protection of a child who is entirely innocent. Now that you are a new dad, does that theme resonate with you more so than when you were shooting the film?

Jackson: I think so. Instinct takes over. You have this little person and you hear that first cry and every little cell in my body suddenly turned over into being that protector. He’s so small and it’s all keep alive, keep alive at all costs. It’s absolutely an amazing feeling.

Robert Pattinson Tells CNN I’m OK and No one Knows My Personal Life But Me

Looking fairly relaxed in a tee shirt with a cup of coffee or tea Robert Pattinson looks OK to us too in the middle of an all day event of press interviews.

In the past three days Robert Pattinson has been served ice cream by John Stewart, breakfast cereal by GMA, and oddly been asked to draw a parallel between his love life and the late Princess Diana of Wales which was met with a round of boos from the live studio audience and an equally visceral reaction from the online viewers. In our estimation, he’s really taken it all in stride with a great degree of grace. In any case, Rob in his own words seems to be fine, not falling a part at the seems, and says pretty clearly that no one really knows about his personal life but him.
