Tickets are still available for the 100 Monkeys show at the Rickshaw. For those of you who can’t make it, Mandy will be live tweeting during the show and taking photos. Mandy is a Twilight fan, but more importantly she’s a 100 Monkeys fan, converted after their show last year, so her Tweets will include show details, not just what Rob is wearing, if Rob shows. No video is allowed at this particular show, so tide yourself over with this video from their Allentown show from this summer.
Twilight Bands on the VMAs
Both Death Cab For Cutie ( to headline the New Moon soundtrack) and Paramore (headliners of the Twilight soundtrack are up for VMAs. Paramore is in the best rock video category with some stiff competition by Kings of Leon, Coldplay, Greenday, and Fall Out Boy, and Death Cab for Cutie is the breakthrough video category in with tons of competition.
Ashley Greene on Breaking Dawn
Ashley Greene discussed Breaking Dawn with MTV. What’s very interesting is where, according to Ashley, they are with that project right now. To us, it seems like they are in the “Well it would be fun to do, I’d totally do it, but there are not firm plans yet” stages.

This just in from Summit:
SUMMIT HOME ENTERTAINMENT ACQUIRES THE RIGHTS TO
“TWILIGHT IN FORKS: THE SAGA OF THE REAL TOWN”
Documentary Which Explores the People and Places of the Town of Forks, Washington Featured in the TWILIGHT Film Franchise, to Arrive Via DVD Timed to the 2010 Home Entertainment Release of Summit’s THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON.
Summit Home Entertainment announced today the acquisition of the documentary feature TWILIGHT IN FORKS: THE SAGA OF THE REAL TOWN directed by Jason Brown, a three time Emmy Award winner. Produced by Brown, as well as York Baur and Peter Cowles and their company Heckelsville Media, the feature chronicles for TWILIGHT fans the story behind Forks, Washington, which serves as the primary setting for the popular TWILIGHT books and films. Additionally, the documentary features untold tales of Forks’ unique history, mysticism and culture.
Summit plans to release the film onto DVD in conjunction with the home entertainment debut of the second film in the TWILIGHT franchise – THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON, which is set to arrive in stores during the first part of 2010.

We are excited to make this incredible documentary available to Twilight fans early next year.”
TWILGHT IN FORKS offers a tantalizing mix of real-world Forks and the fantasy that makes the TWILIGHT saga so irresistible. Fans will get to hear from the real people living their lives in the town, including: the Chief of Police, the Forks Outfitters’ employee who gets mistaken for the franchise’s leading lady Bella, and the vampire transplant who plays the real-life role of Alice. They’ll also visit Forks High School, hear self-described Jacob’s grandfather tell the legend of how the Quileutes descended from wolves, and see many more of the people and places of Forks.
“Summit Home Entertainment is the perfect partner for us,” said York Baur, Heckelsville Media’s president. “Our goal with this project was to show the unique culture, beauty, and remoteness of the real Forks to the world, and Summit’s distribution of our film will do exactly that.”
Relax The Volvo is Still Silver—or “Black Sapphire Metallic” or “Saville Grey Metallic”
There was this flood of inquiry and angst in our inbox and Twitter when set pictures were taken by a bystander that showed Robert Pattinson standing in front of a black/blue Volvo.
So here is what we asked and here is the answer:
Lexicon staff:
“There are pictures of Robert Pattinson standing in front of a Black Volvo. Is that Edward’s car or is it a background vehicle? If it is Edward’s car, will it be recolored in post production? For most fans, making Edward’s Volvo anything but silver is kind of like deciding that the Batmobile is purple :)”
Summit Answer:
“Edward is driving the exact same car he drove in NEW MOON.”
So rest assured, anyone who was wondering, Edward is driving his iconic car. We saw Edward’s silver Volvo with our own eyes during our set visit. It was parked in a lot next to (Just looked at my pictures and realized that we didn’t get a shot of the Volvo. I would have sworn up and down it was there. Apparently not. Woah, goes to show you how eye-witness testimony can be wrong.) Bella’s house along with other vehicles like Bella’s red truck, Carlilse’s black Mercedes, forks police cruisers…you get the idea.
IMPORTANT: David Slade did not Tweet anything in regards to the car. There is a spoof twitpic claiming he did. It’s obviously a spoof: 1) Would David Slade seriously use “squee” in a Tweet, and 2) Check his account, nothing there about the car http://twitter.com/DAVID_A_SLADE
EDITED: Looking at the Volvo website, there is a dark silver color available. We’re wondering if that is what they went for instead?
EDITED: More emails back and forth, the color is a dark silver/gray
EDITED: 17 emails later…this is the car(the S60R described by Stephenie is no longer made, that’s why the car in Twilight was differnt too) http://www.volvocars.com/us/models/xc60/Pages/BuildYourxc60.aspx and the color chart would have the color at either “Black Sapphire Metallic” or “Saville Grey Metallic” both of which seem to read “black”on screen. As we just said on Twitter we now feel like we’ve been run over by the Volvo…it seemed like such a simple question at the time…*headddesk*!

Chaske Spencer on Radar Online Part II
Radar Online has put up part II of their interview with Chaske Spencer who plays Sam Uley in New Moon:
“It was really good. Everyone has a different way of working; I learned that a long time ago. Kristen is an old pro, she’s been working since she was a child. She comes ready to go. She’s got her character down; she knows what she wants to do. She’s very open to ideas as well. She’s ready to play. Taylor is the same way, he’s been working since he was a kid as well. I have a hard time thinking him of a kid, because he’s got that man body, but he still has that baby face. The thing is they’re both good people, that’s what I love about them. They’re both egoless. We did a scene in Emily’s home and Kristen got all her scenes done and she stayed. She stayed for us to do all our close ups. You don’t have to stay, you can get a stand in to come in and say all your lines but she stayed the whole time. And it was a long day. So that shows what kind of integrity and what a trooper she is. I really tip my hat to her on that. Taylor is working, when he’s not doing his scene he’s getting his muscles pumped, with all of us, we’re all doing push ups between scenes. Those two, I like working with them, they come in they’re ready to go, but they also know when to have a good time. They keep it light on the set as well, which is really good for an actor, you have to stay relaxed on set.”

Lastest New Moon Trailer, What’s In It?
Apparently last night there was a screening of another Summit film, Sorority Row. In front of that screening were trailers of various other upcoming Summit movies. Several people who were in attendance have blogged, tweeted, and/or creatively videoed the details of that new trailer. It is highly likely that it is the version that will be shown at the VMA’s.
The video below doesn’t have the actual footage, but it does detail what was in the new trailer. If you want to wait until the VMA’s don’t click. If you want to know if it is worth watching the VMA’s click away!
EDITED: MTV has added a few details.
Chris Weitz: Fansite Friday Interview Part II
This is our final Fansite Friday. we’re sure that you won’t be disappointed in the rest of what Chris Wietz had to say. All totaled it was an unheard of 25 minutes of interview on set that was filming. We’d again like to thank our set visit buddies. In many fandoms, site don’t get along. This isn’t the case here. Shout out to Twilighters Anonymous, His Golden Eyes, Twilight Moms, Twilight Series Theories, Twilight Source/ Imprint!
Q: I’m wondering since you’re so good with CGI, and it’s your forte, how’s the design for the werewolves coming?
Chris: I think it’s going to be good. We’re taking Stephenie’s lead really they’re supposed to be wolves the size of horses. The temptation…we’ve avoided any temptation to kind of go Lon Chaney with it, or to make it kind of humanoid. The werewolves are very much creatures of nature.
Phil Tippet is doing the …it’s not me, I’m not the one who’s good at doing CGI I just happened to have lucked into working with people who are very good at it. So, I just know a good thing when I see it, and Phil Tippet who is a multi-Oscared guy (ILM) worked on Stars Wars and all that stuff is doing the wolves, and they’re going to be great. They’re going to be fantastic.
So and at the same time they are going to fit that world that’s already there. You can’t suddenly hop out of reality. Somehow what Stephenie manages to do is to mix the emotions that everybody feels at some point in their lives with these kinds of supernatural things: vampires and werewolves and stuff. It would be wrong if you suddenly saw a werewolf in a different kind of movie. They have to be carefully integrated. If there’s one thing I’m good at with CG is that I don’t like it to jump to the foreground too much. I like it to settle in like any other aspect.
Q: So it looks natural?
Chris: Yeah, Yeah. [Read more…]
