There was a bit of a Twilight connection on tonight’s episode of Glee.

Later this week, Pel(Laura) is heading out to the first Twilight convention to be held in Italy.Right now she is really regretting that her Italian ancestors hadn’t decided to force their kids to learn Italian so that she could speak more Italian other than food and unprintables.
She’s going to be there along with Kimmy from His Golden Eyes. Both Pel and Kimmy will be doing panels on the red carpet experience, life in Forks, and being a webmaster in the Twilight world.
After the convention is over, Pel and Kimmy are planning a little side trip. Bet you can all guess where. Hint, hint look at the photo.
Anyway, Pel is planning to bring some Italian goodies back with her to create a Twilight Italy themed basket that we’ll give away to a lucky Lexicon reader. Now she won’t have a clear idea on exactly what she’ll put in the basket until she gets there, but she’s open to suggestions. So if there is something you really want to see in there let us know in the comments.

The Alex Meraz fansite called The Meraz Effect had a chance to interview Alex’s wife (sorry ladies, but he’s very taken) about what their life is like.
“Kim is the lucky wife to the multitalented Alex Meraz, but those who are avid Alex-supporters, know that Kim is a strong and admirable person in her own right. During Alex and Kim’s first Australian convention, I had the chance to talk profession, family, marriage, Twilight and of course, Alex, with Kim.
During my interview with Kim, it became obvious that she is the back bone to Alex’s life, working behind-the-scenes in corporate finance, as well as giving truly dedicated wifely support. Kim laughs when I quote that behind every great man, is a great woman, “I love that saying,” she says as I explain how relevant that is for Alex and herself.
As professional as the couple are, Kim explains that they must balance the dynamics of work and private life. The couple rarely have a large break from Alex’s now-busy schedule, which makes them appreciate and utilize the precious time they get to spend together as a family. Together, with their 2 year old son, Somak, the Meraz family prefer a quiet time at home to doing anything else. Kim describes the treasured time they get to spend together bathing Somak and reading him a bedtime story. Kim chuckles and tells me that when Alex is around, he becomes the apple of Somak’s eye, and that she quickly turns into little more than chop liver.”

Rob, Taylor, and Kristen at MTV Movie Awards

On June 6, the MTV movie awards will be handed out. According to E! Online, the Twilight trio of Robert Pattenson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner will be on hand to present a never before seen clip from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. You can still vote for New Moon and the cast to win some of the awards at the show. The show will air at 9/8 C but chech your local listings to be sure you don’t miss it.
