Don’t Forget Tinsel Korey and the One Warm Kid Campaign

Here is the press release about this cause that Tinsel is supporting. We first mentioned it two weeks ago.

Aéropostale, Inc. (NYSE: ARO), a mall-based specialty retailer of casual and active apparel for young women and men, today announced that it has partnered with nonprofit One Warm Coat to create its first annual ‘1 Warm Kid’ campaign, a coat drive for kids that will run from October 11, 2010 through October 31, 2010 at P.S. from Aéropostale locations across the country. In support of the campaign, P.S. from Aéropostale will match every donated coat with a brand new coat up to 100,000.

‘1 Warm Kid’ aims to raise awareness of the growing numbers of families living in poverty and to collect as many coats as possible, all of which will be donated to local agencies where they will be distributed to families in need this winter. A growing list of celebrities are lending their support to the campaign and encouraging others to participate. Those who donate will have the chance to win signed coats from Ellen DeGeneres, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, Ricky Schroder, Cole and Dylan Sprouse (“Suite Life on Deck”), Debby Ryan (“Suite Life on Deck”), Jennette McCurdy (“iCarly”), avid Del Rio (“The Troop”), Tinsel Korey (“Twilight”), and more.

“1 in 5 kids live in poverty. It’s startling to learn of how many families struggle to have the basic necessities, such as a coat.” said Scott Birnbaum, Senior Vice President of Marketing of Aéropostale, Inc. “1 Warm Kid will provide warmth to many families this winter and shed light on this growing epidemic.”

A driving force behind the success of ‘1 Warm Kid’ is P.S. from Aéropostale’s relationship with the schools in its local communities. Through their partnership with One Warm Coat, more than 1600 schools were invited to participate in the coat drive. To activate students and entice school participation, P.S. from Aéropostale is awarding prizes to the top three schools that collect the most coats. First prize school will win $5,000 and a party in their school. The second and third place schools will win $3,000 and $1,000, respectively.

“We are excited to have the support and encouragement from schools across the country,” said One Warm Coat President Sherri Lewis Wood. “We know school kids can be a powerful force in community service. 1 Warm Kid provides them with an opportunity that is easy to implement and will have an immediate impact in their own community.”

In addition to the schools organizing drives, P.S. from Aéropostale welcomes individual donations as well. As an extra incentive for anyone who donates, P.S. from Aéropostale will give 25% off your next purchase, though no purchase is necessary.

Twilight Book Burning By Portland Vampires

Well, one of the great things about living in America is that you have to a large degree the freedom of expression (No yelling “fire” in a crowded theater, and all that.). Granted the above seems to be a theatrical-type street event, but in our opinion, it’s hard to see any book burned under any circumstance. It just brings to mind images of very unfortunate events in history. What’s your take?

Nikki Reed Talks Script Secrecy of Breaking Dawn

Well it looks like they are trying to stop another St. Louis script found in dumpster disaster!

Breaking Dawn Stars Hitting the TV Screens!

There are a ton of Breaking Dawn Stars going to be on the small screen especially this week!

Kristen Stewart will be on Regis and Kelly on Tuesday the 19th talking about her work in Welcome to the Rileys. Set your DVR’s because Regis and Kelly wins as the talk show with the world’s worst record of getting segments online. Go figure, they are on ABC just like Jimmy Kimmel and Kimmel has one of the best records of getting material online. So no guarantees that we’ll be able to embed footage here!

Mike Welch recently did an episode of Criminal Minds where he was reunited with former Joan of Arcadia co-star Joe Montegna. Well he’s not the only one hitting series TV.

Peter Facinelli will be in season 3 of Nurse Jackie come January.

Jackson Rathbone will be on an episode of No Ordinary Family on November 2nd!

Liz Reaser is going to be on The Good Wife which is one of the best written shows currently on television. According to Gossip, “…[Liz ] will make her first appearance on the CBS hit on October 19 as a sports journalist named Tammy, who potentially has a romance with Josh Charles’ Will…”

MacKenzie Foy is going to be appearing on an upcoming episode of Hawaii 5-0 (photo above with MacKenzie and series regular Grace Park). According to the fansite Nessie MacKenzie (which is the only site in touch with MacKenzie’s management so it’s a great site to follow!) “Now we’re so happy to announce that she’ll also appear on the 6th episode of Hawaii Five-0 which airs OCTOBER 25th as the role of Michelle.” While we are on the topic of MacKenzie, she has no social networking sites. So don’t be fooled by people claiming to be her! Let’s face it, what parent in their right mind would let a 9-year-old make an unsupervised Twitter!

Jackson Rathbone Weighs in on 3-D Formatting

Jackson Rathbone has 3-D experience. The Last Airbender was converted into 3-D post-production earlier this year, and its effectiveness was widely debated. Many feel that post-production 3-D vs. filmed on 3-D cameras results in murky images. So, during the red carpet for the Scream Awards, Jackson was asked about his view of 3-D as it relates to Breaking Dawn.

“”I like the through line. I like the way it is, you know? I think 3-D is an amazing element for certain types of films but I think at the core what the Twilight series is about is about making choices and to be with the people you love,” explained Rathbone in our exclusive interview. “And I think that doesn’t really have a place in the 3-D world. The 3-D world’s more for that kind of action epic kind of quality, and that definitely is in the Twilight series, but I think it’s more so about the connections we make in life. And I think that doesn’t really…you don’t need 3-D to show that. You just need to look into…you know, when Rob and Kristen look at each other as Edward and Bella and that spark happens, you don’t need 3-D for that.”

Kristen Stewart’s Crazy Schedule

Marc Malkin at E! got the scoop on how Kristen Stewart made it to the Scream Awards just barely and what her hectic schedule is like this week. She’s going to have some serious jet lag by the end of the week!

“Yes, Kristen Stewart was at Spike TV’s Scream Awards last night!

There was some confusion at the start of the evening because her name had been taken off the media tip sheet, but…

Turned out she just wasn’t able to make it to the arrivals in time. Why? Well, she’d been in Louisiana for about a day and a half rehearsing Breaking Dawn with Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, so she was jetted in by private plane and made it to the Scream soiree with mere minutes to spare.”
