Where Can You See The Twilight Stars in 2011

We have been getting a ton of questions from people asking where they can see the stars from Twilight.  A sure fire bet in the USA is the Creation Entertainment Official Twilight Tour. They just updated their 2011 schedule, so check it out and see if it arrives at a city near you!

If we had to bet money, we’d guess that there will be some Breaking Dawn actor presence at Comic Con, but that is not official yet. It’s just a guess based on past experience.

If you are from outside the USA check out the following events:

Italy

Cruise and Italy

Spain

Australia

Malaysia

UK

We’ve published this before (last time about a year ago) It gives you advice on the whole convention scene: what to look for, what your expectations should be, etc. [Read more…]

Deadline Hollywood: Taylor Lautner To Make Megabucks

According to Nikki Finke of Deadline Hollywood, Taylor Lautner has manged to ink himself quite lucrative deals in 2011.

“I’ve learned that the Taylor Lautner juggernaut continues in Hollywood as this 18-year-old Twilight Saga action star and teen heartthrob just keeps booking movie after movie. Last year’s highest paid teenage actor (for a reported $7.5 million pay day in Universal’s Stretch Armstrong with Hasbro and Imagine) is starting off the new year by producing and starring in 2 new studio tentpoles during 2011. I can scoop that Fox 2000 and New Regency each coughed up an 8-digit paycheck to work with 8-pack-abs Tay-Tay for his two only available time slots this year. Meanwhile, three top producers including Michael Bay and his Platinum Dunes are circling Taylor to star in their movies for 2012 and beyond. That’s because of Lautner’s enormous Twi-hard fan base and aggressive promotion of his films, and not because of any solo box office he’s done yet.”

New Breaking Dawn Photo: Bella and Edward’s Honeymoon in Bed

The first photo of Edward and Bella on their Honeymoon appears in Entertainment Weekly(the issue with Johnny Depp on the cover for better quality). Twitpic via FanficCrazy as seen on Access Hollywood.

Better screen cap from our friends at Twilight Poison.

Quote from Bill Condon:

Entertainment Weekly has an exclusive first look at THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 1. The shot, which is only available in Entertainment Weekly’s print edition, features Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) as husband and wife…on their wedding night. “It’s one of the most anticipated scenes,” Breaking Dawn director Bill Condon tells EW. “I spent a tremendous amount of time thinking about it. The anticipation is part of it and you want to play with what people expect and maybe subvert it a little and surprise them.

Entertainment Weekly will have the photo only in their latest edition that appears on newsstand tomorrow! It WILL NOT be in their online edition.

LITTLE, BROWN BOOKS FOR YOUNG READERS

TO HOST AN INTIMATE GATHERING OF

TWILIGHT FANS FROM AROUND THE WORLD

TO MEET STEPHENIE MEYER

TWILIGHT INTERNATIONAL FAN EVENT

TO CELEBRATE UPCOMING RELEASE OF

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: THE OFFICIAL ILLUSTRATED GUIDE

US/CANADIAN FAN SWEEPSTAKES ON THETWILIGHTSAGA.COM

Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, a division of Hachette Book Group, will host a special International Fan Event, featuring Twilight fans from around the world.  Ten fans will be chosen to have a once-in-a-lifetime intimate meeting with international bestselling author Stephenie Meyer.  The event coincides with the upcoming release of The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide (April 12, 2011; $24.99).

Little, Brown is partnering with the Twilight Saga publishers in Brazil, China, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Taiwan and the United Kingdom to bring together each country’s respective Twilight fan.  The fan selected from each country will receive an advance copy of The Official Illustrated Guide and get to talk extensively with Meyer, who will answer their Twilight-related questions.

“The one thing I miss most about my first book tour was the chance I had then to spend quality time with my readers,” said Meyer.  “At an event with just ten or twenty people, I was able to get to know everyone a little bit.  I could also more effectively answer each person’s questions.  I’m so excited to have that opportunity again, and to get to spend time with fans from many different places and backgrounds.”

– more –

“We receive hundreds of travel requests for Stephenie from our foreign publishing partners every year,” said Megan Tingley, Senior Vice President and Publisher of Little, Brown Books for Young Readers.  “Since it is physically impossible for one author to be in so many places, we thought this would be a great way to bring some fans to her.”

The Official Rules for the sweepstakes to select the fan from the United States (as well as one from Canada), including entry details and eligibility requirements, can be found on TheTwilightSaga.com.

Due to the intimate nature of this event, details regarding the location and timing are being kept confidential.  Photos and additional details will be distributed upon the event’s conclusion.

The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide provides readers with exclusive new material and everything they need to further explore the unforgettable world Stephenie Meyer created in Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn and The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner.  The Guide also includes character profiles, outtakes, a conversation with Meyer, genealogical charts, maps, extensive cross-references, and much more.  Originally announced as “The Official Guide,” The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide includes illustrations from several artists, including Young Kim, the illustrator behind the #1 New York Times bestselling Twilight: The Graphic Novel, Volume 1.

In five years, Stephenie Meyer has become a worldwide publishing phenomenon.  The Twilight Saga’s translation rights have been sold in nearly 50 countries and 116 million copies have been sold worldwide.

Ashley Greene Talks Breaking Dawn in MTV’s 11 to Watch in 2011

Ashley Greene has been named by MTV as a rising star to watch in 2011:

“The year begins with the debut of the Sundance indie “Skateland,” an ’80s coming-of-age tale. Then it’s on to “LOL,” a comedy in which she stars as a bad girl opposite Miley Cyrus. And don’t forget about “The Apparition,” a supernatural thriller that brings “Twilight” together with “Harry Potter” (Tom Felton) and “Gossip Girl” (Sebastian Stan), and the ensemble comedy, “Butter.” Oh, yeah — plus the first part of “Breaking Dawn.”

Yep, it’s going to be a big year for Greene. That’s why we’ve named her as one of MTV News’ 11 to Watch in 2011. During a break from the “Breaking Dawn” set in Louisiana, the actress answered some questions via e-mail, hitting on subjects like working with Cyrus, her most anticipated “Breaking Dawn” scene and what it was like to see Kristen Stewart as a vampire.

MTV: 2011 is shaping up to be a big year for you, coming off all the “Twilight” exposure and now having some prominent roles in “The Apparition,” “LOL” and a bunch of other projects coming down the line. Does 2011 feel like it’s going to be a particularly big year?

Ashley Greene: Definitely. I’m very excited for it. While it will be sad to finish filming the last installment of “The Twilight Saga,” I’m grateful to have so much to look forward to. There’s so much going on and so many wonderful opportunities popping up for 2011, and somehow I feel very zen…

MTV: Kristen Stewart said at the People’s Choice Awards that she filmed some scenes as a vampire. What was your reaction to seeing Kristen as a vamp?

Greene: Glad to have her officially join the Cullen family!”

Bree Tanner Does Well in Year End Aussie Sales

BreeTannerAccording to the Sydney Morning Herald

“Stephenie Meyer’s The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner (186,000) was officially third, with Elizabeth Gilbert’s Eat, Pray, Love coming in fifth. Julie Goodwin’s Our Family Table was the best-performing book by an Australian writer, selling 150,000 copies. The winner of the first MasterChef outsold the series’ second cookbook by 84,000.

According to Shaun Symonds, general manager of Nielsen BookScan Australia, 66.2 million books were sold in 2010, a slight increase on 2009. He said value was down 4.2 per cent at $1.26 billion. ”There were no real blockbusters last year; no Stephenie Meyer[Lexicon Note: We assume they mean novel and not novella], Dan Brown or Matthew Reilly. And if you take away the Meyer sales from the previous year, sales value dropped only 0.8 per cent. And retail trade was generally down.”

Kellan Lutz Louisiana Scene Interview Online

We revealed the cover shot of Kellan last week. Now the interview itself is out.

“The success of Twilight rocketed its cast into the stratosphere, making Kellan and company household names overnight. But while the character of Emmett has given Kellan great exposure, he hasn’t been identified with the role in the same way that Christopher Reeve, while a talented actor, was forever Superman. The result is a great deal of freedom. “It’s been such an amazing process. I fell into acting and I found a passion for it and it’s really like a hobby to me. I have a great agent, we’ve been best friends, and we have the same dream: to not care about the money and to not care about the fame. We can be cool and collected and really plan my career.”

“I’m blessed to be doing the Twilight movies because I know I get to make multiple movies,” Kellan says. “So, let’s go find some independents with meaty parts: let’s find a drama, let’s find a comedy, let’s find a thriller, let’s find a romantic comedy, a love story. I know my strengths and weaknesses. So, I might not take the great paying jobs of playing the frat guy, playing the jock, playing the preppy boy, because that’s what people see me as already. I’d rather do something a little different. It’s very tough for me to be seen as vulnerable or someone who could be beaten up, so its tough to get those roles, but I’m all for it.”
