Plan Out Your Twilight Birthday

The folks over at Celebrations who recently came up with a Twilight themed Valentine’s Day celebration have now come up with birthday ideas.

Just for starters they have various drink ideas for both the over and under 21 crowd:

Must Have Twilight Party Drinks:

  • Apple Beer: This nonalcoholic beer comes in a bottle adorned with black label and red apple front and center – just like the first book in the Twilight series.
  • Red Apple Martinis: Create a red apple martini to honor Twilight (recipe in the drinks section of this article). To create a bloody great drink, dip the top of the martini glass in a mixture of corn syrup and red food coloring, allowing the excess to slightly drip down the sides of the glass like blood.
  • Red non-alcoholic punch: Simply pour Hawaiian red soda into a large punch bowl and float ice and apples in the bowl – it’s perfect for the underage or designated drivers who still want to partake in the Twilight birthday revelry.

Native America Calling Features Twilight

The Native America Calling radio program is featuring a Twilight discussion on this Friday’s show. According to the group’s press release and website:

Friday, June 5, 2009 – Vampires, Werewolves, and Quileutes:
The top four best selling books of 2008 were Stephenie Meyer’s “Twilight” saga. The popular young adult vampire novels have thrust the Quileute Nation of Washington into the lexicon of the American tween-ager. The author sets her stories on the Olympic Peninsula, ancestral lands of the Quileute, and bases her tribal characters on a Quileute legend of how the tribe descended from wolves. How do the Quileutes feel about being portrayed as werewolves? Have the books and subsequent film created more interest and tourism for the tribe? How can tribes benefit or suffer from portrayals in popular novels written by outsiders? Guests TBA.

You can listen on the Internet here. The Quileute is a Sovereign Nation and have their own government inside of the United States that consists of a Tribal council with staggered terms. The current council  is lead by Chair, Carol Hatch(pictured left).

Robert Pattinson: Most Handsome Man

Vanity fair has a poll going to determine the most handsome man. There’s a lot of competition.

Predicably, names like George clooney, Brad Pitt, and Clive Owen are on the list.

Taylor Lautner’s Early Dance Moves

Taylor, more so than Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, seems to have grown up under candid video spotlight. EXTRA has unearthed some classic Taylor footage, and shots from an upcoming photoshoot. After seeing it we only had one thought, “When is Dancing With the Stars going to come calling?” If Shawn Johnson can win it, why not a guy with similar acrobatic talents?

Behind the Scenes: Seeing Double

The German Twilight site Forks Bloodbank had the opportunity to interview the body doubles of both Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. They have even been kind enough to translate their interview into English for us. You just have to scroll all teh way down to see it.

“Sundown over Montepulciano and Piazza San Francesca. It’s getting colder, darker and a stormy breeze is blowing over the city. Red flags for the St. Marcus Day celebration are fluttering in the storm. What an environment to end our trip to Montepulciano with an unexpected highlight: Azzurra Russo and Alan Cappelli, body doubles of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson for the “New Moon”-Shoot in Italy, have agreed to do an interview with us. A little later than expected they’re arriving at our Montepulciano headquarter, Bistro E Lucevan e Stelle. We’re immediately forgiving their delay as we’re hearing of shooting schedules starting around 5am with make-up and dressing, just as the stars’ working days. It’s already around 9pm now and we’re not their last appointment. The production company, temporarily based in Montepulciano’s Fortezza is hosting a party.

It’s “Twilight-Mania” here in the city and it has suddenly approached the actors’ doubles, too. They’re not even seated yet when fans start arriving out of nowhere asking them for autographs and pictures. It seems like they would never be able to join our table and order a Caffe Latte but they finally did. “

Michael Sheen In Empire

Michael Sheen gave a brief interview to Great Britian’s Empire magazine,

“I had a great time. It was nice to go in and not be playing the main part, just go in for a few days and play this really really extraordinary character. I remember I was thinking, ‘Oh, there’s a bit of a Child Catcher here [from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang]; bit of the Blue Meanie from The Yellow Submarine; bit of Olivier from Richard III. There was a bit of all kinds of stuff.”

Additionally, Michael had nothing but good things to say about his American co-stars.

Just yesterday Michael (who is posing with daughter Lily, who is proudly holding her dad’s OBE medal)received his OBE from Queen Elizabeth II. The BBC has a great video of Michael receiving the honor where he has a grin that makes him look like an incredibly please 12-year-old…meeting the queen does that to you.

Nurse Jackie NYC Premiere Party

Peter Facinelli walked the carpet with Edi Falco and his other Nurse Jackie co-stars.  According to BuzzFocus there was some unplanned excitement:

“Zoey Brakow, Jackie’s nurse in training, rushed to the lower level of the party exclaiming, “I think someone is like having a heart attack.” At first, we didn’t know if this was real. But sure enough, in about twenty minutes, EMT’s came through the party carrying an elderly woman away. From all appearances she was fine as she gave the crowd the thumbs up, while being carried away.”

Peter Tweeted that he had a great time, and provided an interesting tidbit, “Here’s a fun trivia… Alan Coulter who is directing Rob Pattinson’s next movie, directed the pilot for Nurse Jackie…”

Peter also talked to People magazine at the same event where he clears up a rumor about his wife’s heart condition, and discussed his family’s summer plans, “We like taking road trips. There’s a Twilight baseball game on July 4th that I signed up to do. It’s a charity benefit. I think I might drive the RV up there to Portland.”

Remember Peter is on Chelsea Lately tonight and Nurse Jackie debuts on Showtime on the 8th.
