Noot Seear Shoots Fashion Movie

This is a new one on us, a mini-movie to promote a fashion line. We shouldn’t have been surprised since book trailers for upcoming novels are all the rage. Noot Seear who played Heidi in New Moon stars in this one. According to the description:

“Noot Seear stars in Gordon Hull’s noir-chic film The Getaway, exclusive for Tory Burch and featuring looks from the fall collection.”

There is also an interview on Elle with Newt about the video and the differences between shooting something like this and a Twilight movie.

Noot Seear: A Nutty Name

With apologies to the Mars Candy Company it looks like Noot Seear, who plays Heidi, would agree that “Sometimes you feel like a nut, and sometimes you don’t.”

According to MTV:

“Now that Noot will surely have a Twilighter following, it may be too late for her to ditch her nickname (which means “nut” in Danish) and go by her given name Renata. “I have been trying to be Renata forever,” Noot said. “I still try to be Renata. Every time I would change schools, I would always start as Renata and somehow switch to Noot. And when I moved to New York, there was a really big model named Renata and she was at my agency. Now I can’t get rid of it. It’s the most ridiculous name.”

Noot Seear Interview In Style

Style interviews Noot Seear as she makes her leap from runway to silver screen. We had a chance to see Noot in San Diego, and she’s got a great personality. We were in the dead last group that the actors greeted the day (roughly 2,500 people), and by a landslide Noot was the perkiest of them all. She looked like she was having a blast getting to meet the fans.

According to Style:

“The history of the model-turned-actress is a checkered one, without a doubt. For every Charlotte Rampling or Penélope Cruz, there’s a Cindy Crawford in Fair Game, the sine qua non of bad career moves. The jury is still out on Noot Seear, but that’s only because Seear, an alum of countless runways and campaigns, won’t be seen in her first acting role until November. That’s when New Moon, the sequel to Twilight, is released—or, to put it another way, that’s when Noot Seear can expect to make the leap from model-turned-actress to paparazzi quarry…”

Kellan Lutz Hangs With Stan Lee

If there were a master of all masters in the comic’s industry, Stan Lee would take that title.  He is responsible for some of the most iconic superheroes of the 20th century. His creations include Spiderman, X-men, and the Fantastic 4  to name a few.  What’s even better, is that at 86,  Stan Lee has more energy than men half his age. Stan was one of the biggest, mesmerizing, fan draws at Comic Con. By “mesmerizing fan draws” we mean that glazed over and in awed look that that people get accompanied by a barely audible, “I love your work.”

According to Just Jared, it looks like Kellan Lutz got to meet Stan at the The Radical Event hosted by Barry Levine, Gene and Nick Simmons  at Hard Rock Hotel San Diego on Saturday night, two nights after the Twilight Comic Con appearance.

Kellan wasn’t incognito at the party, but he was earlier on Friday when various fans (including Kallie and Kassie of Twilight Series Theories) recognized him under a bad wig and hood.  Actually, what caught their eye was that accompanying Kellan on his journey through the exhibition floor was castmate Noot Seear. We had met Noot the night before at the Twilight Experience event, and and they recognized her.  Being a runway model, between striking good looks and stauesque build,  she tends to stick out in the crowd.  She stands out even moreso when you wonder how the guy in the bad wig managed to hang out with her. That’s when Kallie and Kassie put it together and realized the two were trying tobe  incognito explore the the exhibition floor.  It probably would have worked if he was solo. Kallie and Kassie had a good laugh, and didn’t give Kellan up.

Chris Weitz: Noot Seear More Than a Pretty Face

Chris Weitz talked to fashion industry publication Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) about why runway model Noot Seear was chosen for the role of Heidi.

“We wanted someone who had an unearthly and unlikely beauty, but could also convey humour and menace. It’s rare to find a stunningly attractive person who also happens to have the ability to act.”
