Summit Entertainment Confirms Guests at LA Twilight Convention

The following is a press release from Summit entertainment concerning the official Twilight Convention being held in Los Angeles.

As the excitement builds towards the release of Summit Entertainment’s fourth installment in the epic TWILIGHT SAGA film franchise, the stars will be joining fans in celebration at The Official THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 1 Convention taking place November 4-6, 2011 at The Los Angeles Hyatt Regency Century City.

This special one-time only event will feature live appearances of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner who portray Edward, Bella and Jacob, the three stars at the heart of Summit Entertainment’s film phenomenon. In addition, fellow cast members Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, Ashley Greene, Julia Jones, and Booboo Stewart will also make appearances throughout the three day event.

As the countdown continues towards the North American release of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 1 on November 18th, the convention offers fans the opportunity to see 15 of their favorite TWILIGHT SAGA stars in uniquely interactive live presentations on stage.

The weekend’s schedule also features themed parties, fan site panels, musical performances, costume, trivia, and centerpiece competitions, merchandising, and photo opportunities as well as a special exhibit of props and costumes.

Erin Ferries, VP of Creation Entertainment, the company co-producing the convention with Summit Entertainment, said, “The unparalleled Twilight phenomenon was created by fans and this event will amp up the excitement for the long awaited return of the storyline to the big screen. We look forward to hosting our fellow fans from around the world as we celebrate the stars they have come to love over these past several years.”

The next chapter of THE TWILIGHT SAGA will be released as two separate films with the first of the two – THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 1 – slated to be released in theatres on November 18, 2011 and the second coming to theatres on November 16, 2012. Academy Award® winner Bill Condon directed both films starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. In THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 1, Bella (Stewart) and Edward (Pattinson), plus those they love, must deal with the chain of consequences brought on by a marriage and honeymoon, and the tumultuous birth of a child… which brings an unforeseen and shocking development for Jacob Black (Lautner). With more of the romance, passion, intrigue and action that made TWILIGHT, THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON and THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE worldwide blockbusters, THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 1, based on Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling book series, begins the conclusion of the tale of vampire love, boundless friendship, acceptance, and finding your true self. Twilight Trio: Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, & Taylor Lautner Get Grauman’s Handprints

The most famous place in Hollywood, The Chinese Theatre (www.chinesetheatres.com), is set to honor the acting trio of “The Twilight Saga,” Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. The three will again appear together in the fourth installment of the blockbuster franchise “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1,” due in theatres Nov. 18.

The handprints-footprints ceremony honoring all three actors will take place Thurs., Nov. 3, at 10AM.

To date the “Twilight Saga” franchise’s first three films have grossed over a combined $1.8 billion at the worldwide box office.

The Chinese Theatre handprints and footprints ceremony is rich in tradition and provides the over four million people a year who visit the site an opportunity to experience the lore of Hollywood up close, for here lay the handprints and footprints of Hollywood’s most notable talents.  Comedian Bob Hope even left an imprint of his legendary ski jump-shaped nose!

Unlike any other award in Hollywood, be it an Oscar® or a sidewalk ceremony, The Chinese Theatre handprints-footprints tribute is the most selective of all, since over the course of nine decades, only 250-plus such honors have been presented.

Movie exhibitor Sid Grauman, who was one of Hollywood’s best known and most creative showmen, opened The Chinese in 1927 and launched the handprints-footprints ceremony a year later, as a promotion to advertise his many premieres and first run films.

Among the first handprints and footprints were those of Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks.  Within a few years, the famous forecourt of handprints and footprints on Hollywood Boulevard was flourishing and has since become an international tourist destination. Recent celebrants have included Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Johnny Depp and Jennifer Aniston.

Today, The Chinese Theatre forecourt is among the world’s most photographed tourist sites, annually attracting as many visitors as the Taj Mahal in India and the Prado Museum in Madrid.  Along with Disneyland and Universal Studios, The Chinese Theatre is among Los Angeles’ top five tourist attractions, according to About.com.

In any given year, The Chinese Theatre hosts over 40 red carpet film premieres and since it opened, it has hosted three Academy Award® ceremonies and numerous world premieres, including those for internationally-acclaimed film franchises, such as “Star Wars” and “Harry Potter.”

More movie popcorn has been consumed here by more famous faces than anywhere else on earth and in 2012 The Chinese Theatre celebrates its 85th anniversary with many new innovations planned.

The ceremony will be broadcast live via streaming video on www.chinesetheatres.com.

Eclipse is nominated in the Rockin Ensemble Cast category.

Booboo Stewart is nominated in the Rockin Sidekick category.

Bruno Mars is nominated as Rockin Artist of the Year.

Booboo Stewart Plays With Local Kids at Perth Telethon

Booboo Stewart made the day of two young musicians by jamming with them. He was back in Australia for the Perth telethon. he has first attended the event last year and was so touched by the money raised, he came back again this year. According to Perth Now

TELETHON’S brightest little stars Savanna Addis and Ben Popham hit a high note when they jammed with Twilight star Booboo Stewart over the weekend.

The courageous pair, aged 10 and 11, who have endured their fare share of setbacks, are budding musicians.

And on Saturday, they were presented with instruments from Perth-based charity Strike a Chord a not-for-profit organisation that gives the gift of music to seriously ill and disadvantaged children.

“It’s is a big score,” Ben, who has been playing the violin for two years, said.

The youngster, who suffers from cerebral palsy and has his legs in orthotic splints, said he was keen to learn how to play the Fremantle Dockers theme song.

And for him, rubbing shoulders with Hollywood movie star Stewart had been “fantastic”.

“Meeting Booboo has been the highlight so far,” Ben said.

“(Telethon’s) just a wonderful experience to be part of.”

A talented musician, Stewart who plays the guitar, bass, keyboard and drums, said he was thrilled to be back in Perth for his second Telethon in as many years.

“Hanging out with Ben and Savanna has been great, they’re really awesome,” he said.

Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald Tied the Knot

Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald got married over the weekend. According to E!

The former American Idol contestant and Twilight star exchanged vows in front of close friends and family, as well as Idol alum Stefano Langone and members of McDonald’s band, the Grand Magnolias.

Spy Kids star and good friend Alexa Vega served as Nikki’s maid of honor and the groom and his band serenaded the crowd with surprise performances.

Nikki also gave the following quote to US Weekly, “We couldn’t be happier surrounded by our family and friends. We’re so glad this day has come.”

Congrats to Nikki and Paul!

Entertainment Tonight has a new featurette with interviews from Kristen Stewart, Rob Pattenson, and Taylor Lautner.  The video also includes some rare footage of behind the scenes moments wit the actors getting direction from Bill Condon, working on fight sequences, and a glimpse at the birth sequence with Jacob saying, “Stay focused.  keep your heart betting, Bella.”  Let us know in the comments what was your favorite part of the video and what you wish they would show more of.
