Teen Choice Awards 2010: Don’t Forget to Vote

The full list of Teen choice award is now available for voting. So if you meet the age requirements,  go and pick your favorites! Twilight is featured in the following categories:

Scene Stealer Female: Dakota Fanning, Ashley Greene, and Anna Kendrick are nominated for New Moon. Also in the same category is Betty White.  This will be a tough one for Twilight to win.

Scene Stealer Male: Kellan Lutz for New Moon

Chemistry: Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are nominated for New Moon. Note, Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift are also nominated for Valentine’s Day.

Liplock: Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are nominated for New Moon. Note, Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift are also nominated for Valentine’s Day.

Fantasy Movie: New Moon. This is also a tough category with Alice in Wonderland and Harry Potter also nominated.

Actor Fantasy: Both Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are nominated for New Moon.

Actress Fantasy: Kristen Stewart is nominated for New Moon

Drama: The Runaways and Remember Me are both Nominated

Actor Drama: Robert Pattinson is nominated for Remember Me

Actress Drama: Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning are nominated for The Runaways.

Romantic Comedy: Valentine’s Day (co-starring Taylor Lautner is nominated)

Horror/Thriller: Nightmare on Elm Street (costarring Kellan Lutz is nominated)

Villain: Rachelle Lefevre is nominated. This is going to be tough with Stephen Lang from Avatar also in this category.

According to the rules you can vote once a day, so get out there and get voting!

Chaske Spencer Talks Openly About Battling Addiction

In 2009, a person who was in rehab with Chaske Spencer, decided to go public with the information that Chaske Spencer had gone to rehab selling his story to TMZ.  Chaske Spencer responded by putting the following statement on his blog:

“Personal Message from Chaske Spencer Setting the Record Straight

To all the wonderful, incredibly loyal fans:

For those of you that read that I was in rehab, I wanted to make sure you heard the truth from me directly. Yes it is true, that I was in rehab, however it was over 19 months ago, long before NEW MOON was even on my radar. It was a pivotal time in my life where I was lucky enough to have supportive friends and family to help me get healthy. I am grateful that I have been clean and sober now for 19 months and cannot imagine my life if I had continued using drugs and alcohol. Almost everything else that was written about this is blatantly false and we are exploring our legal options. That was my past, and I am thankful that I had the opportunity to create a new future for myself. I encourage anyone who is in a similar place to seek support from their friends and family and know that without them, I would not have had the chance to be where I am now.

I want to thank all of you for the support you have shown, and continue to show. I appreciate each and every one of you.

Chaske revealed more information to People Magazine. According to People Chaske talks openly how what started out as drinking three cans of beer a day to deal with the pain of his parents’ divorce eventually lead to an additional cocaine and heroin habit by age 21 that cost him jailtime, his reputation, and nearly his life.  He openly talks about how he hit bottom, went to rehab, got his life together, and is open about his past mistakes.

According to People Chaske stated, “I got pretty tight with the wolf guys. I took each of them aside and told them I’m an addict and an alcoholic and that’s why I don’t drink.”

As part of his sobriety, Chaske now spends time giving back to his community through work with United Global Shift, a nonprofit organization that works with Native Americans.

Kellan Lutz to Appear at the Do Something Awards

The Do Something Awards will broadcast LIVE from the Hollywood Palladium on Monday, July 19, 2010 at 9PM EST on VH1.

According to the groups press release “The ceremony will celebrate a new generation of do-ers and world changers by honoring five young people for their commitment to social change. DoSomething.org is one of the largest organizations in the US that helps young people rock causes they care about. A driving force in creating a culture of volunteerism, DoSomething.org is on track to activate two million young people in 2011. By leveraging the web, television, mobile, and pop culture, DoSomething.org inspires, empowers and celebrates a generation of doers: teenagers who recognize the need to do something, believe in their ability to get it done, and then take action. Kellan Lutz was just announced as being among the attendees.

Currently Nikki Reed is Do Something’s featured spokesperson on their school supplies campaign that that are doing in conjunction with Staples. There is no word if Nikki will be attending as of yet.

Ashley Greene has also worked with the organization in their Jeans for Teens Campaign.

Ashley Greene and Tracy Morgan Present at the Espy Awards

Ashley was one of the presenters at the Espy Awards last night. She did well holding her own with comic mastermind Tracy Morgan. Tracy Morgan is a true wildcard, you never know what he is going to do on a live show. Ashley held her own.

Wolfpack Wednesday: Meet Booboo Stewart

We are back with Wolfpack Wednesday!  We just attended the Creation Entertainment Official Twilight Convention in Indianapolis last weekend and we have some great items to give away.  We will also be attending the other conventions this summer in Boston, Toronto, and New Jersey.

When we saw Eclipse the first time, it was in a preview. The theater was full of movie critics. When Booboo Stewart came on screen the whole theater went “AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW”.

If there is one thing Booboo Stewart has cornered the market on is being multi-talented and just plain adorable. Booboo is accomplished in martial arts, music, and acting!

You can see his martial arts skills in this George Lopez video.

Booboo also has a new song out along with his sister Fivel that is currently exclusively seen here.

In Eclipse he plays Seth and will also continue the part in both parts of Breaking Dawn.  Tell us in the comments what you thought about Booboo in Eclipse, or if you’ve been lucky enough to see him at the Official Creation Entertainment Twilight Convention or other live event what you thought. We were struck by how very down to earth and un-Hollywood Booboo is. For someone under 18 in the movie world he doesn’t seem at all jaded, he’s very genuine.

Soundtrack Band Eastern Conference Champions to Play Benefit

This just in from Eastern Conference Champions:

On Friday, July 16th, Space 15 Twenty will be throwing a benefit concert in association with Urban Outfitters to support the non-profit organization ‘Music Saves Lives.’ The show is free and open to all ages, although donations will be encouraged at the door. Doors open at 7:00pm, and the music starts in the courtyard at 7:30pm. Three bands will be playing throughout the night. LINKS will start the night off, followed by Sol Giant, and finally Eastern Conference Champions, whose song ‘A Million Miles An Hour’ was featured on the Twilight: Eclipse Soundtrack. Quileuete Nation to the Rescue

Members of the Quileuete Nation played a vital role in saving helicopter crash victims.

“When a Coast Guard helicopter carrying four crew members slammed into the water near the mouth of the Quillayute River on Wednesday, five Quileute fishermen were first on the scene.

The fishermen — Levi Black, Jim Williams, Mark Williams, Charles Sampson and Darryl Penn — jumped into two skiffs and headed straight for the helicopter as soon as they heard the aircraft go down.

They pulled two men who showed few to no vital signs out of the water.

At shore, tribal members performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation while waiting for medics to arrive.

“They are some very brave people,” said Tribal Chairwoman Anna Rose Counsell-Geyer.

For Penn, who is the Quileute Marina harbormaster, it was simply about helping those who have always been their for the fishermen.

“You don’t think, ‘Do I go or not’ — you just go,” Penn said.

“They are always here for us.”
