Breaking Dawn part 2 Heading to Annual Rome Festival?

According to THR, Breaking Dawn part 2 might be the anchor film at the annual Rome Festival.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking down Part 2 is reported to be a strong candidate to be the central film Rome’s Alice in the City sidebar for young people, the only competitive collateral event Mueller retained from the previous six Rome festivals. The adventure-fantasy story is scheduled to open worldwide Nov. 14, which is during the Rome festival. If the film does indeed screen in Rome with its main cast members on hand, it could create a field day for paparazzi, since it stars both Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, who have been regular headline fodder in recent weeks after a high-profile split as a couple and then an equally high-profile reconciliation.

See more on THR. If true this would be great for the Italian fans as presumably several of the movie’s stars would be on hand to promote it.

Update on The Lexicon’s Breaking Dawn 2 Movie Event

As many of you know, the Lexicon hosts a movie event in Franklin, TN around the release of every film in the Twilight Saga.  Those who were at our last movie event know that we are trying to make this last event very special by hosting an early Thursday night screening.  We have started the process, but as always there are bumps in the road!  Because of  theatre managers being on vacation, as well as work and personal issues in our own lives, we might not have an official announcement for you about our event until the beginning of October – Possibly Oct. 8.  (Don’t worry about us too much!  We’re just extra, extra bogged down and busy!) We know that many of you have e-mailed us asking for details.  The goal is to host the film at the same theatre we have always used in Franklin, TN  in the evening on Thursday the 15th.  We just don’t know the time or the cost of the event.  We will be updating you as soon as possible! But we wanted you to know that plans are moving forward, even if they are going slowly!  Thank you to everyone who has shown an interest in the event.

Nikki Reed Designs Shoe for Weitzman Charity

Nikki Reed is one of the stars who contributed designs for Stuart Weitzman’s Young Hollywood Cares shoe collection.  Her shoe is a  stiletto with goose-bump calfskin.  Other celebs that contributed include Chloe Grace Moretz, Brooklyn Decker, Julianne Hough and AnnaSophia Robb.

Last year Weitzman raised $80,000, which was done without much promotion or publicity, Weitzman said.

“I want to be more visible,” he said. “I have learned it’s hard to ask people for money and it’s harder to get them to give it, but if you have fun and make some noise, you can rattle it. You’ll buy something, even if it costs a little more, but why not for a good cause?”

You can order Nikki’s design from Weitzman website for $425.  Proceeds from the collection benefit research at the Folkman Laboratory at Boston’s Children’s Hospital. Read more about the program at CBSNews.com.

New Face Friday: Meet Guri Wienberg

This week up for New Face Friday is Guri Weinberg who plays the Romanian Vampire Stefan. For a refresher on the character of Stefan, check out our character bios section.

Question: What did you think of your costume and your makeup the very first time you saw yourself fully decked out as your character? Guri: Well I loved it. I mean it was a little freaky but I loved it. It was exactly what Michael, who is the head wardrobe guy wanted when we first met and we put on the wardrobe. The eyes were a little weird, cause I don’t wear contact lenses, so it took them half an hour to put them in and then it took me another good half an hour to see through them. So when I actually figured out what I looked like, I was pretty happy with it. Question: You had never worn contacts before? That’s got to be a crazy situation. Guri: Ya, it was awful. But because we had a whole department of people that handled the contacts and put them in our eyes. The first two weeks it would drive them crazy because it would take them a good half hour to put them in my eyes and they said you know we are never going to get through this and I said well you should try to be me.

We also had a chance to catch up with Guri on the Breaking Dawn Part 1 red carpet last year. Here is what he had to say about the fan experience.

What’s Missing from Breaking Dawn Part 2 Footage

For Laura’s Movies.com column this week she covers what are the most important items that we haven’t seen or barely seen.

Lastly, for a franchise that has built itself on romance, there is a decided lack of romance that has been shown to fans other than those who attended Comic-Con. That footage is pretty much nowhere to be found online so it’s probably fair to say the majority of the 30 million fans on Facebook alone probably haven’t seen it.  We have gotten a brief glimpse of Edward and Bella holding hands in the first trailer, and those that went to the Target DVD release got a sweet moment of Edward and Bella in their cottage, but that’s it. Footage was definitely shot in the cottage location (which is a fan favorite romance moment), but how much of that sequence is in the movie remains to be seen.

Special Scene At End of Breaking Dawn Part 2

At an event for iD gum, Kellan Lutz told TheInsider.com that there is a special scene after the end credits for Breaking Dawn Part 2.

“They’re gonna love it, and Bill [Bill Condon, the director] even told me that, stay for the credits — there’s a really special thing happening.”

This follows the pattern Condon set in Breaking Dawn Part 1.  There was an extra scene that hinted at what was to come.  Even though we tried to get the word out, we heard from many fans who missed it.  So consider this your warning!  Stay through the credits!

Kellan also talked about the news that the film differs from the book.

“Every film’s been building and building, and Bill Condon really had a great idea with ending the series with Breaking Dawn 2, and just adding a little more flavor to parts of the book that weren’t there, but he elaborated more on,” he says. “I think the fans are really going to enjoy it.”

You can read the whole story at TheInsider.com.  Thanks to Twilightish for the heads up.
