Judi Shekoni Participates in LA Fashion Week Photoshoot

Judi, who plays Zafrina, was working with Floyd Productions, and company from Argentina. The first video is a shorter version of the second one. In the first one Judi is in several places. Even though the narration is in Spanish, lots of the models talking is in English. The second one go to the 26 minute mark to see Judi walk the runway several times in a fashion show. Then starting at the 30 minute mark Judi is in an exclusive photoshoot at Graumen’s Chinese Theatre (which is a problem because they shot on a Saturday and lots of people recognized her and wanted pictures!)

Booboo Stewart Talks About Being Shirtless in Breaking Dawn

We have to say following Booboo on the Official Twilight Tour, he is a really modest guy. He doesn’t even hint or tease the crowd untucking his shirt. Only time we’ve ever seen him remove clothing was for charity in Australia.

Justin Bieber Premiere Described as Twilightesque

We’ve seen an awful lot of comparison to Twilight. Usually it’s things like “Is this author the next Stephenie Meyer?” or “Is this character the next Edward Cullen?” So far we haven’t seen anything that totally gets to that Twilight proportion. In other words, no book signing with over 1,000 fans wrapped around the block for 3 hours.

However, judging by what we’ve seen on Twitter and on ET, it looks like there is a movie premiere that did rival the Twilight insanity. ET’s Kevin Fraizer said, “This might be the biggest, craziest movie event I’ve ever covered. This was ‘Twilight’-esque. It’s certainly the biggest premiere for a single guy. I saw fans crying, screaming, totally out of control!”

From what we could tell, the premiere looked like it was held at the Nokia (same place as Eclipse) and the place was PACKED.

After watching the craziness Laura remarked to one of our mods, I think this is the only person who can rival Robert Pattinson for flat out crazy adoration. Good thing he’s not in Breaking Dawn or we’d never hear anything at a premiere! And then I joked, you know, just watch, when they cast The Host movie Justin will end up as Jamie and we will experience it first hand!

Now all of our mods know who Justin is, but we can’t say that we’ve really followed his music that closely. We’re curious, do you have what’s being called “Bieber Fever” and do you think the Twilightesque comparison for fanatical fans is dead on?

Robert Pattinson News Interviews Paul Darnell, AKA Rob’s Stunt Double

The crew over at Robert Pattinson News has a fabulous interview with Paul Darnell who first worked with Rob on the set of the original Twilight. Paul has now doubled Rob in several other films. It’s a great read that talks about what being a stunt double is all about, and how it is working with Robert Pattinson.

How did you react when Robert Pattinson thanked you for his Twilight “Best Fight” MTV Movie Award? Can you share your experience in filming that scene?

First let me say that Robert Pattinson is an amazingly humble person and a very hard worker. He works very hard and shows up to every rehearsal. The last battle scene in Twilight was very intense. Many of the stunts involved hard hits with wires and crashes which are so much fun to do! Without risking personal injury to Rob, I ended up doing the majority of stunts in the final battle which won the award.

I was at a friend’s house and I started getting text messages and phone calls from friends saying “I think Rob Pattinson just thanked you on national TV”. I was really stoked and also a little confused by the “I think” part. Immediately I went online and found a video of Rob’s speech where he gave me credit for the award but said the wrong last name. To his credit, someone had misspelled my name on a photo shoot for LA Magazine and my wrong last name was plastered all over the internet. None the less, I was so stoked that he would even think of me for a shot out. Actors rarely do that for stuntmen. Rob is a very considerate individual and true gentleman. When I saw him on the set of Remember Me he immediately apologized for the mishap.”

New Moon Inspired Stevie Nicks, Who Knew?

According to the press release for her new album called In Your Dreams, Stevie Nicks was inspired by New Moon! Laura is a HUGE Stevie Nicks fan and is jumping up and down like crazy!

Rock ‘n Roll’s reigning queen Stevie Nicks will be releasing her highly anticipated new CD “In Your Dreams” on May 3rd, it was announced today by Reprise Records. This will be Nicks’ first CD of new material since the release of her Grammy nominated “Trouble in Shangri-La” ten years ago. “In Your Dreams” was written and recorded at Nicks’ Los Angeles home and is co-produced by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard. Nicks and Stewart
co-wrote seven of the album’s thirteen songs.

“I had written a song in Brisbane, Australia when I was on tour with Fleetwood Mac in 2009 called ‘Moonlight — A Vampire’s Dream’ which was inspired by the ‘New Moon’ film. When I finished writing that song, which came together really quickly, I knew the time was right to start recording. We had a core group of five people who were at the heart of the creation of ‘In Your Dreams.’ Dave and myself, my longtime friend and musical director, Waddy Wachtel, and my girls, Sharon Celani and Lori Nicks. It was a perfect blend,” commented Nicks.

“This was one of the most extraordinary experiences I’ve had making a record. It is the first album that I have had this kind of collaboration since the making of Rumours. Dave created a situation where I could be
totally creative and focused on writing songs and making music. I cannot remember ever having this much fun making a record. Writing the songs and recording them in my home studio was the key element in how this music turned out. It made the whole process seem very similar to how we used to work back in the day,” she concluded.

The first single “Secret Love” written by Nicks is currently on iTunes. “It was 1976 and Fleetwood Mac was opening for Peter Frampton at the time. It was written about a forbidden relationship — not Peter and I,”
laughed Nicks. “I always knew that one day I was going to record the song.”

Nicks is currently gearing up to join forces with fellow rocker Rod Stewart for the 16 city Heart & Soul Tour, one of the most anticipated music events of the year… The first show is scheduled on March 20th in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Stevie Nicks is a multi Grammy Award winner and Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame inductee. Her extraordinary career as a solo artist, songwriter, live performer and member of Fleetwood Mac is legendary. Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumours” was one of the biggest selling albums of all time. She has penned such Mac classics as “Landslide,” “Dreams,” “Gold Dust Woman” and “Rhiannon.” As a solo artist, beginning with the five time platinum debut “Bella Donna,” her solo hits include unforgettable singles such as “Edge of Seventeen,” “Leather and Lace” and “Stand Back.”

So any other Stevie Nicks fans out there? What do you think about Stevie possibly being a Breaking Dawn soundtrack artist?

Why Didn’t Twilight Get Filmed in Washington State or Forks?

We get asked this question all the time in our email and at the Twilight Conventions. Part of the reason is that Forks is so remote and small that the support services needed to house an entire filming crew for months weren’t there. The other part is that Washington State doesn’t make it easy on filming company’s budgets. The more a company has to pay to be at a certain location, the less money they have for post-production things like CGI, 3-D, etc.

The Northwest News has an comparison in incentives in the Pacfic Northwest. The numbers really speak for themselves. Washington is losing money to Oregon and British Columbia (AKA Vancouver) because they aren’t keeping pace.

“BC [British Columbia]set aside $40 million in incentives for 2011. Oregon may give away up to $12.5 million. Washington is only scheduled to provide $4 million in incentives.

British Columbia appears to be getting a significant bang for its buck. There were 239 film and television productions in BC in 2009, and Washington only had 14.
“We need to keep our vampires, our Washington state vampires,” says Sen. Jeanne Kohl-Welles, D-Seattle, about the movie “Twilight.”  The 2008 movie, based in Forks, was shot largely in Oregon and BC.”

So why did much of breaking Dawn film in Louisiana? Answer: great money incentives and a fantastic facility in the Celtic Media Center.

Meet Wolfpire: AKA Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson Cosmo Combo

The current issue of Cosmopolitan magazine has a section on Superhereos We Wish Were Real. So they combined Team Edward and Team Jacob.

It kind of reminded me of a tee shirt I saw a fan wearing at the Official Twilight Convention this weekend. The Tee shirt said, “I’m Team Edward unless Jacob is shirtless!”
