We don’t know that David Slade or any director for that matter is taking unsolicited film critic advice but Richard Roeper has weighed in with his two cents. What do you think?

Twilight In Forks Update: A whole New DVD
I know that we weren’t alone in assuming that the Twilight In Forks documentary would be on the New Moon DVD. Well it turns out that it’s going to be a DVD all on it’s own. See the following press release from Summit.
“The must-have DVD for any fan of The Twilight Saga series

Sign Theft in Forks
This is so not cool. Someone decided to take the sign from in front of the Forks home that has been tagged by the town as the unofficial Swan residence. It’s the second time this has happened. Additionally the Chamber of Commerce had to deal with the gas cap being stolen from the red Bella’s truck parked outside the information center.
So if anyone knows who took the sign, kindly return it! The Forks Chamber of Commerce is being very gracious and is not currently pressing charges, they just want the sign back.
Part of the appeal here is that it doesn’t look like a professinal tourism sign that is nailed down within an inch of its life (see above photo). It’s going to start to get ridiculous if they have to cement and bolt the sign down because people can’t leave what isn’t theirs alone! TY to Christina for alerting us to this.
Official Twilight Tour is Nashville Bound
Alphie is probably going to kill Pel for doing this, because there’s a story behind the picture, but what are friends for if not to embarrass you 🙂
As you can see, from Alphie’s photo in The Tennessean surrounded by Twilight items, the Official Twilight convention hits Nashville this weekend at the famous Opryland Hotel. Guests include Peter Facinelli, Mike Welch (who was just added), Bronson Pelletier, Kiowa Gordon, Dan Cudmore, Charlie Bewley.
“I’m 35 — this is my girls weekend!” says Lori Joffs, laughing. Joffs, is the administrator of Twilight Lexicon, one of the most popular Twilight fan Web sites. She has attended Twilight conventions in Atlanta, New Jersey, Miami and Chicago (often as a presenter for Twilight Lexicon), and plans to attend about 10 this year. With so many conventions under her belt, Joffs has seen a lot of Twilight moms.
“There are a fair share number of teenage Twilight fans,” Joffs says, “but generally speaking it’s a rarity to find a teenage fan who’s (at a convention) without her mother. And her mother says she’s a fan, too.”
Be My Escape (Jen) will be joining Alphie at this convention, and as usual we will be live Tweeting the event! So if you are going to be at the convention, stop by and say hi. In fact you can even say hi to Lori’s mom and dad who will be there too. Lori’s mom has the job of our random number picker. Whenever we give something away, mom does the honors. Starting in February, we will resume our giveaways.
Since we’ve been getting a bunch of emails asking, the Lexicon will be at just about every convention on the schedule (excepetion for LA premiere week and fingers crossed a Breaking Dawn set visit). Here’s the current list of the next 5 months or so of who will be at which one. Just don’t kill us if it changes slightly (husbands, children, parents, real-life and all that).

The New Moon DVD Rundown: Pre-Orders Start Today
So there are tons of versions this year and better options with DVD and Blu-Ray releasing the same day. Every version has a little something different when it comes to the extras: red carpet interviews, Eclipse previews, etc. (though as of right now their product descriptions leave a bit to be desired so that you can’t tell who has what. Trust us those things are on different versions and we’re currently emailing several chains stating “um, did you forget to mention something in your product listings”) So check it out and decide which version works for you (our personal advice, unless it’s refundable, wait until later in the week when full descriptions are up):

Julia Jones: Boston Girl Hitting the Big Time
Boston native Julia Jones, who plays Leah Clearwater in the upcoming Eclipse, talked to her hometown paper, The Boston Globe, about the storm that is coming when Eclipse releases this June.
“Julia Jones plays Leah Clearwater, the only female werewolf in the pack, a mostly miserable young woman who is cursed with the power to read the mind of her ex-boyfriend — who has fallen in love with someone else. Jones explains that Meyer’s detailed portrait of Leah helped her fall in love with the angsty, supernatural character.
“Because Stephenie Meyer wrote the layers, you’re kind of serving something else,’’ says Jones, who had a small role on NBC’s “ER’’ and acted in a few indie films before landing the role in “Eclipse.’’ “Usually you’re looking for any clue you can in a script – usually it’s skeletal, because it’s not prose. But in this case, there’s 3,000 pages of detail.’’
