Would You Want a Spin-off?

The Coventry Telegraph put together information from a series of interviews asked of the Twilight Saga movie producers at the Vision Awards.  By different reporters, they were asked about the future of the series. Additionally, reporters asked if they would ever consider some kind of spin-off featuring the Volturi. They said that they were committed to finishing the vision the Stephenie had but after that,

“Stay tuned. I think if our movies do as well as the first did all possibilities are out there. But right now we need to finish what we have and finish Stephenie’s vision as best we can and then let’s see where the audience demands us to go from there.”

You can see the whole summary here.

So, (keep in mind this is just speculation no contracts or anything like that exist)would you want some kind of spin-off?

Kiowa Gordon In Indian Country Today

Kiowa Gordon (“Key-oh-ah”,heavy accent on the o—at least that was how it was pronounced by Gil Birmingham) who plays Embry Call in New Moon attended a local high school graduation as a guest and then chatted with Indian Country about his upcoming role which will hopefully open many of Hollywood’s doors for him.

“My mom got an e-mail. She was ecstatic.” After speaking to the director on the phone, he was off to Los Angeles for a “cyberscan.” It’s a technique used in many movies to create real-life animation. “A machine went around my body to create a computer image so I could be transformed into a werewolf.”

“When I went to Vancouver, the first person I met was Alex Meraz. During the first three weeks I hung out with the wolf pack. We worked with a personal trainer. I gained five pounds. We all bonded and became like brothers,” Gordon said. “I’m the smallest (physically) but I’m the tallest.” Gordon is 5 feet 11 inches tall.

He describes a day of the set. “We spend an hour in makeup (basically) getting darker and they enhanced our abs,” laughs Gordon. “It was really cold, one degree Celsius. We wore robes before our shoots. All our scenes were outdoors. We had to get in the rain.”

Peter Facinelli Next Stops West Virginia & Atlanta

Peter Facinelli’s family  is going to need a high-tech tracking system to keep track of him. After the vampire baseball event in Portland this weekend, he is going to be moving on to the East Coast.  He’s been slated to be at Creation Entertainment’s Atlanta Twi-Tour event for months (which the Lexicon staff is also going to be attending). Now, we have learned that he’s also going to be in West Virginia.

According to The Charlestown Gazette:

“Just like the “Harry Potter” series before it, Stephenie Meyer’s “Twilight” series has achieved something amazing. No, not massive amounts of fans and popularity, though there is that, but it has also gotten thousands of teens and tweens reading.

To celebrate that, Charleston Town Center Mall is hosting a month of “Twilight”-themed events. Though the film will be celebrated, too, the main focus is the book series. The promotion is subtitled “Read … it changes everything!”

Things kick off with a “Twilight” Salute on July 11. This includes the opening of the Twilight Lounge in Center Court and a special meet-and-greet with actor Peter Facinelli — aka Dr. Carlisle Cullen.

The meet-and-greet begins at noon in Center Court. Facinelli will sign autographs and be available for photos. There will be two separate lines — one to have a photo taken and one to get an autograph. The photo op runs $40, and autographs cost $25. A portion of the proceeds goes to Facinelli’s favorite charity, Omnipeace…”

Peter Facinelli on Vampire Baseball

RadarOnline interviewed Peter Facinelli, who packed his entire family into an RV and drove to Portland from the LA area.

“RO: Tell us about the baseball game tomorrow?

PF: We’re going to test our vampire baseball skills in front of a large crowd and I think a lot of people are going to find out that a lot of the cast member s don’t know how to throw a ball and they just made us look good. The Make-A-Wish Foundation asked if I would play and I thought it was for a really good cause. I like doing charity events because I think it’s important to give back. I played baseball when I was younger but I haven’t played in a long time, so it should be fun. I hope Rachelle’s on my team. She’s the one with the wicked curve ball, right? I don’t know, I’m showing up with my old oiled glove and waiting to see where the coach puts me. I don’t even know who the coach is. I might be the coach for all I know. I think Carlisle should definitely be the coach. The difference is tomorrow there are no special effects, whatever speed we run and however we hit the ball is the real deal. We’re going to have no stunt doubles tomorrow.”

Forks HS: The Real Principal’s Take

The real principal of Forks HS let the participants from the Summer School in Forks Symposium know what it’s like on a daily basis in what is becoming America’s best known, small town high school. The talk took place in the Forks HS cafeteria which also doubles as their auditorium.

He was one of the first of the local residents who welcomed the group to Forks for the event. The one thing that was in common by everyone in Forks was how friendly they all were. Every single person from our waitress in The In Place, the staffer at Gathering Grounds coffee shack, former students, chamber of commerce members, shop keepers…you name it…were the nicest people.

You can tell from the principal’s talk how they are amused at the influx, have a good sense of humor about it, and are enjoying how the extra income benefits the community.

Taylor Lautner Shows July 4th Pride

ET asked various celebrities like Queen Latifa, Josh Duhamel, and Blake Lively about what is the best part of being an American this July 4th.

This is what Taylor Lautner ,who is pictured left at a recent LA Dodgers Game,(what’s more all-American than baseball!) summed it up in three short, but important words:

“The freedom and family and friends.”

Interview Roll Call

We have not one, not two, but three interviews by Twilight Stars:

First Up Gil Birmingham, who has been in Australia at a convention, spoke to Twilighter’s HUB, the location for Aussie Twilight happenings.

TH: Being an actor, what parts of yourself have you incorporate into Billy Black’s character, and what part of Billy, have you taken with you into your everyday life?

Gil: Billy Black is an awesome character to play. We are both down with the kids and we both try to keep it real. An actor always digs deep inside himself to draw out the personal experiences that bring life to the character he plays. I am not Billy, but there is a part of him in me and vice versa.

TH: Like most of the cast in Twilight, how has the Franchise changed your life?

Gil: Twilight has been an amazing ride for me. The volume of fan mail, emails and requests has increased so much that it’s becoming more and more difficult for me to personally respond to fans. I don’t get caught up in all the hype. I’m still the same Gil Birmingham I was before Twilight, only I get a lot more mail.”

Next the stunning Ashley Greene gives away a few beauty secrets to the Examiner:

“What are your favorite beauty products?BORBA (all of which I mentioned) and Dermalogica. I love Matrix sleek products for my hair – they work very well for me. Rose bud lip gloss is the best. YSL has a great illuminating concealer. Shiseido you can’t go wrong with either… their tinted moisturizer is great. I also just found this amazing line in Europe called “Becca;” their stuff is amazing… I have to stock up when I go back because it isn’t sold in the US!

Who is your beauty icon?
Audrey Hepburn is classically beautiful. ”

Wrapping it up Is Kellan Lutz in the UK’s OK where he just did a photo shoot for Social Life:

The entire cast of Twilight and New Moon has gone from Hollywood new faces to overnight international sensations – has that been a bonding experience for all of you?

It’s amazing what Twilight has done for the cast! It has opened up so many doors for us all.  It is such a blessing to be a part of the phenomenon that is Twilight. It’s a dream come true!  We are all very close and stay close on set as well as off.  We play board games, go out to dinner and just hang out.  It’s amazing to be able to work with such a talented group of actors.”
