Cheeky, AKA the Twi-Crack blogger, has stumbled on something. There’s a memo out from Production Weekley dated 2-12-09 attaching Dakota Fanning to the project.

Now here’s the thing were not saying Dakota won’t eventually be cast because that’s honestly our gut impression here based on a number of factors. However, we are not so sure this is 100% official yet:

1. It doesn’t make any sense for this confirmation not to have been picked up by Mark Malkin, Nikki Finke, and several others given that they all had the insider track. The Dakota Fanning story leaked like a sieve. It seems odd that they’d allow themselves to get upstaged by a two-week old production memo that lots of people had access to.
2. The cast list (other than Rob, Kristen, and Taylor who obviously have top billing in that order) are in alphabetical order. Dakota’s name got stuck in at the end. It seems weird that the format would not be consistent especially in Hollywood where name position is everything

Stay tuned, this could get interesting.

Lauren is back with her adventures with Pocket Edward. So, “Edward Cullen, you’ve won the girl and have millions of admirers. What are you going to do now?” You got it, Disney.

Well sort of…Randy compared Adam Lambert to Robert Pattinson of Twilight at about the 4:40 mark in the video below. Then Ryan followed up repeating what Randy said, and Adam mentioned being a fan of the books. So being AI fans ourselves this was our reaction:

Alphie: “I KNOW!  I just about died!!!!!  I said – two years ago, NO ONE knew what Twilight was.  Now freaking Randy Jackson is talking about it on AI.  How did that happen????”

Be My Escape: “I feel like the media in general feels the need to drop Twilight/Edward Cullen into everyday conversation so they can be cool.  It is very strange.”

Pel: “I don’t know about Rob, but hello Adam…Justin Chon just called and he wants his hair back.”

Borders is prepping for their Twilight release party by creating their very own Twilight movie awards. You can print out your own award ballot from the Border’s Media site. There will be more details coming from Borders on why you’ll want to vote!

They have categories covering everything from the best OME (Oh My Edward) Moment, to Favorite Vampire, to the best baseball player.

This is just the tip of the iceberg as far as what Borders has in store for fans. We were mega impressed when they gave a a few clues. Alas, no we can’t tell yet, and it’s killing us! But don’t worry, Borders is going to deliver a great experience.

It’s no secret that Solomon Trimble who played Sam Uley in the Twilight movie would like to reprise his role in the upcoming New Moon.

Since the Lexicon broke the story yesterday that Bronson Pelletier has been cast in presumably a Quiluete pack member role( see our comment to FearNet here ), lots of people have been wondering if Solomon will be getting a call to take part in the production.

Solomon’s interview is candid, funny, and down-to-earth. So Lexiconers, what’s your opinion? Do you want him back as Sam?

MTV asks if the backlash directed at Kristen Stewart from various fans is warranted.  They cite recent articles that where Kristen commented to Nylon Magazine regarding her fan experience, and comments Kristen’s dad (a TV producer) made regarding Kristen not appearing at the Oscars.

Next, MTV wants to know what you think of Demi Lovato. It seems that Demi might be a Team Jake person and like a lot of people in the entertainment field these days, she’d love to be a part of New Moon. What do you think of her as a potential soundtrack artist?

MTV talked to Rob Pattinson about his plans after Twilight. What kind of scripts is he looking for? Will he be able to establish himself as something other than Hollywood’s young flavor of of the month?

Here’s Rob’s spin on his plans:

“…I have a gap in between, so I might do something in there, maybe,” he revealed of a small window between “New Moon” and “Eclipse” that could have him filming something new in late 2009. “I’m just relieved that I can kind of do anything [different].”

Twilight is nominated for a 2009 Kids Choice Award over at Nickelodeon in the favorite book category.  Given that we are talking Nickelodeon, which is not exactly the majority of the Twilight audience, there is some stiff competition from fellow nominees:

This year Dwayne Johnson, better known as The Rock, is the host, and Robert Pattinson is scheduled as one of the presenters. You think anyone told Rob about the slime?

The girls from Twilight Singapore continued their Twilight release adventure in Japan today where believe it or not that got another celebrity bonus greeting. If you remember from yesterday, they ended up going through the immegration lines with Taylor Lautner.  Later, in the lobby of their hotel, they met Martin Scorsese.

Well today, as they lined up to greet Rob as his flight landed, they got to meet another celebrity who was on the same flight!
