Kidsday Interview With Peter Facinelli

Peterkidsday

Pel love’s this story. It reminded her of her childhood on Long Island. The main paper of Long Island is Newsday, and back in the late 70′s they launched a feature where kids were reporters on various subjects and they had a section each week called Kidsday.  Well, now a Kidsday reporter,Matthew Cebulski, landed an interview with Peter Facinelli!

What made you want to take a part in the “Twilight” series?

When I first got the call about doing a vampire movie I wasn’t that excited. I was thinking it was going to be some kind of blood and guts horror film. But then I read the book, and I fell in love with it. I loved how it mixed this Romeo and Juliet love story with the folklore of the vampire tale.

Which one of the “Twilight” movies did you enjoy working in the most?

I enjoyed working on “Eclipse” the most because I got to do action, and the action stuff was a lot of fun. “Eclipse” is also my favorite book.

Was it difficult acting blind in the movie “Touch the Top of the World”?

I had them make contact lenses so that I actually was blind when I shot the movie. I felt like having to play blind all the time would be distracting, and I wanted to experience what Erik Weihenmayer had to experience on a daily basis. At the end of the day I wanted to focus my attention on who Erik was. Being blind isn’t who Erik is, it is just a physical attribute, and in the end something he had to overcome. So having the lenses not only gave me a fuller experience as to what Erik had to go through, but, it allowed me to put my focus on Erik’s persona.”

Peter Facinelli Raps…Or At Least Coop Does

Peter tweeted this video that was shot from a recent Nurse Jackie episode. So, you think we can get him to do this live at a Twilight Convention, especially on Karaoke night?

The Wolfpack Goes InStyle

JuliaInStyleTinsel Korey, Chaske Spencer, Julia Jones, and Alex Meraz are all featured in the current InStyle.

““This is you. This is your role.”

The Eclipse casting directors weren’t the first to think Jones, a part-time model and Columbia graduate, was perfect for the part of Leah, the only female wolf. “One of my closest friends read the books before the first movie came out,” she reported, “and she always said, ‘This is going to be you. This is your role.’” Nevertheless, Jones admits to some trepidation about taking on Twilight. “Everybody has an idea of who the character is in their mind, and there’s no way I’m going to be that person for everyone,” she explained. “I just have to hope that the way I bring Leah to life wins people over.”
Tinsel, Alex, Chaske, and Julia all have individual coverage. See the entire write up on InStyle.

Eclipse Clip to Debut on UK’s National Movie Awards

There’s no word on exactly what this clip will be, but Peter Facinelli is in the UK to present it. According to the UK media site Digital Spy:

“A world exclusive clip of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will debut at tonight’s National Movie Awards, Digital Spy has learned.

The footage will allegedly be delivered by secure escorted courier just hours before the ceremony begins at London’s Royal Festival Hall.”

The program airs on the ITV network at 8:00pm UK time, that would mean beginning at 3:00pm eastern USA time. Anyone want to take bets on how fast it takes people to record it an upload it to YouTube?

EDITED: Twilight Examiner has learned that it is a new UK TV Spot, not a clip. As to if it contains previously unseen material, that is still unknown.

Italy Convention 2010

clocktowerLater this week, Pel(Laura) is heading out to the first Twilight convention to be held in Italy.Right now she is really regretting that her Italian ancestors hadn’t decided to force their kids to learn Italian so that she could speak more Italian other than food and unprintables.

She’s going to be there along with Kimmy from His Golden Eyes. Both Pel and Kimmy will be doing panels on the red carpet experience, life in Forks, and being a webmaster in the Twilight world.

After the convention is over, Pel and Kimmy are planning a little side trip. Bet you can all guess where. Hint, hint look at the photo.

Anyway, Pel is planning to bring some Italian goodies back with her to create a Twilight Italy themed basket that we’ll give away to a lucky Lexicon reader. Now she won’t have a clear idea on exactly what she’ll put in the basket until she gets there, but she’s open to suggestions.  So if there is something you really want to see in there let us know in the comments.
