A Twilight Saga Fansite
Just in from Jen Yamato and FearNet:
“Rumors had been swirling about the last chapter in the Twilight Saga film franchise: would Breaking Dawn get greenlit or not? While everyone from Twilight producer Wyck Godfrey to star Kristen Stewart managed to stay tight-lipped about the unconfirmed sequel at today’s New Moon press conference in Beverly Hills, our hopeful hearts got a piece of very big news about the film from none other than Robert Pattinson.
Answering the last question of the day, Rob shared his shooting schedule for 2010 – including, at least for now, filming the novel adaptation Bel Ami, the western Unbound Captives, and yes, Breaking Dawn.
“I think the tentative time for Breaking Dawn is fall of next year,” Pattinson said, adding that Summit “may well change that.”
“Depending on how things go I’m doing a movie called Bel Ami in February, which is an adaptation of a Guy de Maupassant novel,” he continued. “And I’m doing, I hope, a Western with Rachel Weisz and Hugh Jackman called Unbound Captives sometime around there as well.”
Here is Collider’s Spin on the same situation. Thanks Steve for getting that question in!:
“But when I had the opportunity to ask Robert Pattinson the last question at today’s press junket, I made the most of it. I asked him if he has been told of a tentative time he might film “BreakingDawn”? He replied:
“I think the tentative time for “Breaking Dawn” is fall next year. They may well change that.”
What you need to realize is many things change. Perhaps “New Moon” doesn’t do as well at the box office as the first “Twilight” movie. Or perhaps they can’t get the script right. While things might change, Pattinson’s statement of fall 2010 is the first time anyone in the cast has admitted there is a plan. Much more on “Twilight: New Moon” later tonight.
There remains no official confirmation from any official source; however, Rob’s “slip” certainly indicates that they are working on it and that things aren’t quite firmly settled yet.
Twilight Singapore, who brought you all that great coverage from last year’s Japan premiere of New Moon, was able to attend the fan event in Japan that had appearances by Robert Pattinson and Chris Weitz.
They have their full write up here. They have FABULOUS photos that don’t appear any place else! Check it out.
The famous duo spoke to Harper’s Bazaar about everything and anything. It’s a great read complete with photos from their cover shoot, a video about the shoot, and a list of things you might not know about the two stars.
When asked who is this more athletic, here is what they had to say about each other:
Kristen: “I’m definitely claiming that one. Rob can barely jump rope. I call him Flippy because when he does his stunt rehearsals, he flips around [makes a gesture like a penguin]. And, God, when he tries to run …”
Rob: “Kristen. You notice it in the film; she looks so much more athletic than I do. And I’m supposed to be the superhero.”

Robert hits it all: the unexpected fame, the fan reaction, his relationship with Kristen Stewart, etc. It’s all in this month’s Vanity Fair. A small portion of the interview and photos are online. More is promised in the issue which according to VF, “is available on newsstands in New York and Los Angeles on November 4 and nationally on November 10.”
“Rather than working his way through supermodels, Pattinson, who’s been living out of three suitcases for the past year, has been feeling overwhelmed, self-conscious, and guilty. “I’m trying not to drown,” he says in his hotel room at the San Diego Hard Rock Hotel, which is littered today with beer bottles, old scrambled eggs, a half-eaten Twix bar, and a dirty pair of jeans on the living-room floor. And he notices that he hasn’t made his bed. “Oh, God. Sorry about that.”
“I’m unbearably self-conscious about stuff,” he admits. To the point where, while filming scenes before the army of New York paparazzi that has been following him around, he is terrified that his “ass crack is showing.”

USA Weekend, a magazine found in many Sunday papers, has an interview with Robert Pattinson. They have a vampire retrospective here, and then they get into the actual interview.
“For each movie, Pattinson says he’s tried to reinvent Edward a little bit. The first Twilight film had him falling in love with the human Bella (Stewart); New Moon has him banishing himself from Bella’s life, thereby creating a love triangle with the werewolf Jacob (Lautner); and Eclipse creates a tenuous co-existence between Edward and Jacob. “He’s definitely quite different” in Eclipse, Pattinson says of Edward. “In some ways, he’s more relaxed being around humans, and at the same time, he’s competing a lot more with Jacob so he has a lot more petty emotions rather than just thinking in these absolutes like he did in the first two. I’m just trying to keep it interesting for myself as well.”

Robert Pattinson sat down with Total Film to give them some insight into New Moon and his life.
Total Film: What sort of arc does Edward go through this time?
“He’s always talking in the first one. “I need to make the right decision. I need to do stuff for you, for you, for you.” And he makes a decisive move, which is to leave her, and he completely believes it’s for her own good.
But in his heart, he obviously realises it’s completely wrong. And it takes him the whole movie to realise the profundity of his mistake. So that’s what his arc his.
The world forces him to realise he needs to be with Bella, and there’s no way around it”
