Interview Magazine, that has had recent features with Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner now has a piece with Kellan Lutz.

“Actor, action-movie star, farmhand, Calvin Klein underwear model, and nascent motivational speaker, Kellan Lutz is the man of the moment. The determined 25-year-old Lutz has made a name for himself with roles as a cocky, good-looking jock with rich parents on CW’s 90210, a soldier stationed in Iraq in HBO’s Generation Kill (2008), and a vampire in the Twilight series—a trifecta of mainstream masculinity. He is a superhero-in-waiting, unbothered by an unbuttoned shirt, and thirsty for a franchise phenomenon of his own.

Born in North Dakota and raised in Arizona with frequent visits to the family farm in Iowa, Lutz has a backstory that is authentically rugged and thoroughly American—a Bruce Weber–esque narrative that became an actual Bruce Weber narrative in 2004 when Lutz appeared, photographed by Weber, on the cover of the A&F Quarterly magazine. But it’s Hollywood time now, and Lutz is hard at work. There’s this month’s A Nightmare on Elm Street remake; a turn as a hotheaded lacrosse player opposite fellow Twilight-er Ashley Greene in Warrior; the independent murder mystery Meskada with Nick Stahl and Grace Gummer; and then, most importantly, more Twilight (the third installment, Eclipse, is out in June). Kellan Lutz is going to be busy squeezing in films before Breaking Dawn starts shooting. The roles range from romantic comedy to the gods.

According to ET, “Romantic comedy heaven is made when a ‘Twilight’ hunk and a pop star are cast as love interests. That is just the case in ‘Love, Wedding, Marriage,’ starring Kellan Lutz and Mandy Moore as newlyweds…James Brolin and Jane Seymour have been tapped to play the parents…Actor Dermot Mulroney will be calling the shots in his directorial debut… reports The Hollywood Reporter. Though the movie may take on a different name, ‘Keep It Together,’ it has sent out save the date cards for April 19 to begin filming in Louisiana.”

According to Monsters and Critics, “Relativity Media has changed the title of its Greek mythology film from “War of the Gods” to “Immortals,” and announced that John Hurt and Isabel Lucas have joined the cast. Henry Cavill, Stephen Dorff, Luke Evans, Kellan Lutz, Joseph Morgan, Freida Pinto and Mickey Rourke have already been cast. The film follows the young warrior Theseus (Cavill), who leads his men into battle with the immortal Greek gods to defeat the gods of the Titans. Tarsem Singh is directing the film, which began shooting in Montreal this week.”

MTV is confirming what Kellan Lutz first mentioned at the Official Twilight Tour in Los Angeles, that he has been cast as the Greek God Poseidon in War of the Gods. When Kellan spoke to the audience at The Official Twilight Tour, he stated that Poseidon was his favorite in mythology.

“Twilight” actor Kellan Lutz is the newest recruit in “War of the Gods,” the upcoming Greek mythology epic from director Tarsem Singh (“The Fall”).

Lutz has earned the role of Poseidon, the Greek god that rules over the seas, according to Variety. He joins an impressive cast list that includes Henry Cavill (“The Tudors”) as the heroic Theseus, Mickey Rourke (“Iron Man 2”) as the ruthless King Hyperion and Freida Pinto (“Slumdog Millionaire”) as Phaedra, an oracle priestess.

“War of the Gods” is a swords-and-sandals epic centered on mortal soldiers caught in a war between the eternal Greek gods and the evil Titans, with the fate of mankind hanging in the balance. Production is scheduled to begin in April based on a screenplay written by Jason Keller.”

Pel and Something Blue saw him last weekend at the Official Twilight Convention and said that his time on stage was one of the funniest Q&A panels they’ve seen in a long time!  Happy birthday, Mr. Lutz!  Have fun avoiding the paparazzi!
