Robert Pattinson’s Music

I will preface this entire post by saying the following…

The website you are about to be given is a music MySpace for Robert Pattinson.  It was found by user Nena Cullen.  It is under a stage name.  It is legitimate, I have confirmed it.  That being said…

It is NOT a fan site.

It is NOT a Twilight site.

You may of course friend him, comment on his music, please be respectful of the site’s intent which is Rob’s music, not Rob’s film career or personal life.

This site was never meant for the attention of Twilight.  But for the love of music.  If you like his music, friend him.  Personally I think he has a strong Bob Dylan type style.

And now we give you, …The Music of Robert Pattinson.

Edited: Because there seems to be some question. We checked if it was OK with his management company before we linked to what was a publicly accessibly, non-friends locked page on MySpace that anyone could find.  Secondly, I can’t speak to who had what portion of this story, when, where, and how. I can only speak to us getting a tip today, us checking it through Rob’s official representatives, and that they confirmed that it was legit, and did not state they wanted the story quashed, or preferred that we not mention it.

Edited 2:  The commentary is now off from incoming trolling from another community who near as we can figure is upset that this isn’t their private secret anymore.

Once again, we checked with Rob’s management (unlike any other community posting this info) before we posted this. We would have not posted it if they hadn’t OKed the post. You can believe us or not that is your prerogative.

Rob has used the stage name Bobby Dupea for quite awhile in the London club music scene. Many artists use different names in different genres, ask Keanu Reeves or Russell Crowe.

There is some question that has arrisen as to if this footage was taken illegally. We have therefore removed it as a precaution.

Solomon Trimble

Actor: Solomon Trimble

Character: Sam Uley
Birthday: June 19th
City and State: St. John’s, Portland

Life Bio:

Solomon Trimble (Mescalero Apache, Lakota) was born in Wichita Kansas. Solomon has been a traditional Native American Grass Dancer since the age of 3.  Between the ages of 3-13, Solomon was also a member of a Northwest Native American champion youth drum group “The Young Spirit Singers”. After the group disbanded, Solomon moved to New Mexico to be closer to his Grandfather and to attend the Native American Preparatory School.  This was where Solomon found the love for poetry and math (though his grades did not reflect as great a love). Solomon’s family could not afford his tuition and travel expenses for him to complete high school in New Mexico, so he returned to Portland and was recruited by the Dance West Dance Guild, the then Dance West Dance Company. Solomon studied Jazz, Tap and Ballet, under Terry Brock and Julane Stites, and helped choreograph a marriage between ballet and Native American dance which gave him the opportunity to travel to Canada and Japan, with Dance West.

For his senior year, Solomon decided to finish high school while living on the Lummi Reservation in Bellingham, Washington, with his older Sister and to be closer to his now infamous younger brother.  This was also where he became more familiar with northwest tribal customs and learned to play the guitar.  Trimble returned to Portland upon graduation and continued his education at Portland Community College, pursuing guitar and voice as a music major, to become a rock star.  His love for mathematics and music were equal.  Solomon could not afford to be classically trained to continue towards a degree in music, so he graduated in 2005, with an Associates of Science in Mathematics and graduated this spring 2008 from Portland State University with a Bachelors in Mathematics, and a Philosophy Minor. Solomon was a member of United Indian Students in Higher Education and the American Indian Science and Engineering Society; and is now acting as alum for both.  For the past three years he has been a K through12 student teacher. Before accepting his role as Sam Uley, Trimble was considering attending graduate school for a masters in school administration or Lewis & Clarke Law School. He still hopes to become an attorney focused on Native American Issues. Trimble spends his free time connecting with Elders in his city, learning traditional songs of all tribes and participating in Native American ceremonies as invited in his area. He also tutors Native American youth in math, and culture to facilitate transitions from reservation life to the city.

Fun Facts:

Stephenie’s comments:

"It was pretty amazing. I looked up and did a double take. "Aren’t you…Sam?" I asked. Solomon laughed and agreed that he was. He had a couple of technical werewolf questions for me (ex. "Can werewolves phase underwater?" Answer: Yes) and I tried to control my enthusing. Solomon was super friendly and interesting, and though he looks awesome on film, he’s even more incredible in person. His features are just so stunning!"

And here’s a treat: How Solomon reacted to meeting Steph!

“…I think I looked to long into her eyes, I literally kneeled down to hide the fact that my knees were knocking. I was afraid she would snuff me and be upset that I crashed her book signing for the Host, I felt like such a jerk because I didn’t read it yet.  I had already disrupted the event by taking pictures with fans in the isles and outside, and in line, and on our way to see her.  Then when she recognized me, I had to hold my breath to fight my blush. I felt like hugging her and saying ‘thank you for creating the world I now have the chance to paint’ but I froze there like an idiot bumbling over my questions.  There were so many people waiting I didn’t want to be rude so that the encounter was over before it began. I didn’t even ask my most important questions! I was awesomely star/author struck.  I have a thing for smart women…”

The two questions Solomon wants to ask Stephenie:

"1. If Sam only thinks in Quiluete, can he keep secrets from those in the pack that aren’t fluent in Quiluete ? (I thought the books might have implied that only Sam and Jacob speak Quiluete fluently.)

2. What was everything Sam ever promised to Leah, and how do those promises differ to the ones he now gives Emily?"

Introducing the Wolf Pack

One of our fondest memories from our April trip to the Portland set of Twilight was witnessing first hand the camaraderie between the 3 young men who represent the Quileute Tribe.  Without further ado the Twilight Lexicon is proud to present

~The Wolf Pack~

Lexicon Summer school Part 2

Last week we introduced you to some of the stories people shared with us about Twilight being used in school.  This week we are focusing on some of the very special teachers that have found inventive ways to incorporate Twilight in their classrooms or just found ways to engage students in reading through these very special stories.

The Twilight Lexicon would like to salute the teachers who have thought outside of the box and found creative ways to use Twilight and inspire the students in their classrooms.  Twilight has been used to teach point of view, to inspire students to write, and to take kids who have been labeled as impossible only to prove that with a little interest from a teacher they were more than capable.  Please enjoy reading the stories sent in by all the amazing teachers who have taken their passion of educating and incorporated people’s enthusiasm for Twilight into truly amazing learning experiences.

Michael Welch Sci-Fi Interview

Sci-Fi World reporter Gilles Nuytens publishes an extensive interview with our Mike/Mike.

"I had a terrible morning and that night, I was scheduled to shoot the, always pivotal, victim-crying scene. I was not in the mood to audition that day, but of course I’m glad I did."

Thank you to Michael’s management for passing this new interview along to us!

In the News

The Jackson Rathbone online site is organizing a fan support book for Jackson. Drop by and see how you can help show your Jasper Hale love. According to the site, the"…book put together which includes pictures, quotes, and support messages from fans who think he’s awesome and amazing for tackling on the role of Jasper Hale." Part of their creativity includes sending Jackson, an accomplished musician, guitar picks.

Some sad news for west coasters, a well-loved independent bookstore is closing its doors right after the Breaking Dawn release. All for Kids Books and Music is closing its doors as the owners are retiring. Those of you who have been in the Twilight fandom from the start will remember that the owners of this shop were some of the early people to see the potential in Twilight and catch onto the Twilight craze. They hosted signings for Twilight (possibly two events my records are patchy on this), New Moon.  Best wises to Chauni Haslet and her staff.

Over at the Movie Fanatic site Kristen Stewart just won a recent poll "by a landslide" according to site owner Jed.

Adding to the different languages that fans discuss Twilight is a new Israeli based site, with discussion in Hebrew.
