The Philippine Daily Inquirer has an article about the Twilight enduced "Vampire Mania." Big thank you to Aileen for letting us know.

Finally …We want to send a big "Congrats!" to Kaleb over at Twilight Guy. He has posted the epilogue which means he has officially finished Twilight. Thanks for sharing all of your thoughts throughout the chapters and we look forward to hearing more throughout the rest of the series.

Seraphyn’s movie connection

This story is sort of one of those six degrees of separation type of things. rather than have me explain it, I think it’s best left in Seraphyn’s own words.

So, I’m helping out the Borders in Tallahasee with their Breaking Dawn pre-release events, one of which is a series of book discussions. Today we held the first one and had a great turnout! There was even a very vocal and wonderful Twilight guy! About halfway through the discussion, I was very surprised to see another guy join us. He picked up a copy of Twilight, pulled up a chair, and listened very attentively. We continued going through the book chapter by chapter and I eventually brought up the movie and the similarities and differences there were going to be between the two when the latecomer finally spoke up.

"My little brother is playing Laurent in that," he commented.

After a moment of stunned silence, there was a whole lot of screeching. 😀

This guy who just happened to be in the right store on the right day at the right time and just happened to overhear our discussion group was Edi Gathegi’s older brother. He was incredibly nice and very interested in the whole Twilight phenomenon. He wanted to know what we thought of the book and was fascinated by the groups obsession with the stories. He has yet to read any of the books, but he said he’s heard nothing but good things from Edi about both the series and the movie. He was also kind enough to let us take a picture with him! I don’t think the poor guy knew what he was getting into when he told us who he was!

Just goes to show that you never know what might happen! And, if anyone is interested in participating in next week’s New Moon discussion, e-mail me at [email protected] for details! No promises of random famous people, though. 😉

The Breaking Dawn Quote of the Day will begin tomorrow!  For those of you who weren’t here last year for the Eclipse release, Stephenie has selected 21 quotes directly out of Breaking Dawn and will post one a day for the remaining 21 days until the August 2nd release day. I have to say that Stephenie certainly knows how to tantalize her readers!

Notes on quotes (I’m a poet)
Current mood:  ninja

A few things to keep in mind about the teaser quotes beginning tomorrow:

1. They are out of context.

2. They are out of order.

3. Some of them are purposely misleading.

4. I have a twisted sense of humor.

(Number four is really the key point there.)

The quotes will probably show up around midnight EST, but no guarantees on that. Sleep is always my first priority.

The quotes will be on my website, too, but I’m not sure what time my brother will have them up. (There is a new little webmaster due any day now, so my site might have some lag time in the near future.)

Enjoy the quotes….and don’t go TOO crazy trying to make sense of them.
