EW Article
According to the Twilight Saga website, Entertainment Weekly has scored Stephenie’s first breaking Dawn interview in their upcoming issue. We’ve been given permission to repost a scan of the cover here. Look for this Twilight EW on magazine stands July 18th. Edit: I have conflicting info on the date this hits newstands. It may be this Friday that you can get it. No matter what it’s definitely coming, just some data I have says this Friday and some next Friday. Now further clarified on all sides to be this Friday hitting newsstands. LOL, even the pros make mistakes sometimes.

The Evening Post
The Brighton Memorial Library is hosting a Stephenie Meyer book descussion and trivia session on July 10th.
The July 14th episode of Barnes and Noble Tagged! will be dedicated to The Twilight Saga in anticipation of the August 2nd Breaking Dawn release.
Stephenie’s Plea
In addition to yesterday’s post about the State of the Fandom, Stephenie has posted a message on her site asking the fans to help stave off the influx of spoilers that are sure to pop up across the Internet in the coming weeks…
Reposted with permission of Stephenie Meyer
If somebody does post a spoiler (and remember there will be a lot of hoaxes out there—do not believe everything you read: Bella gets eaten by a polar bear, anyone?), I’d love your help in getting them taken down. My publisher has set up a special e-mail account, [email protected], for fans to alert us to spoilers that appear online. PLEASE only send links to spoilers. E-mails about events, contacting me, etc. will not be returned.
Twilight Tuesday
In today’s installment of Twilight Tuesdays, Larry meets up with the girls from "The Bella Cullen Project." For those of you who don’t know, Ally, Chandler and Tori are three high school girls from Arlington, TX who formed a Twilight-inspired rock band a year ago. Larry had a chance to interview the girls on their options of Twilight, the music that inspired Stephenie, and the possible newly emerging genre of "Vamp Rock".
Edit:
The Twilight Lexicon has been long supporters of the Bella Cullen Project and we are thrilled that they had this amazing platform to promote their music.
MTV is – Music Television- what better way to celebrate the Twilight film then to interview a music group inspired by the book.
As stated many times, its a long time between now and December. The title of the MTV tuesday spot is "Twilight Tuesday", Not "Twilight Movie Tuesday". Expect a wide range of news stories as MTV celebrates every aspect of the Twilight fandom.
I would expect the next big movie news story to come out of Twilight Tuesday to be following Comic Con. Though there is another actor spotlight in the works (just like the Michael Welch Twilight Tuesday spotlight).
The State of The Fandom Address
A Message From Stephenie Meyer:
Hello awesome fansite operators! My publicist is sending this message for me to all the key Twilight fansites on the web. I know there are a million other little sites, but you guys are the ones who really set the tone and shape the attitude for the entire online Twilight world. I want to ask all of you a huge favor. As the release date for Breaking Dawn approaches, there is a strong possibility that something might get leaked online (if Harry Potter 7 couldn’t be kept under wraps, what are Breaking Dawn’s chances??). People who are looking to be spoiled will certainly find this information, and if they must ruin their reading experience, then I can’t do anything about it. But I’m so anxious for the people who don’t want to be spoiled. I would appreciate it hugely if you would, beginning on July 14th at 9:00 p.m. EST, shut down your message boards and your front page comments until Breaking Dawn is released on August 2nd. I’m going to do what little I can with my own myspace page, but I know that most Twilighters come to your sites for information. The Lexicon has done this for me in the past, and it was a great help in keeping the experience unspoiled for readers who want it that way. Thank you so much for all that you do, and for the amazing success that you have made of my series. I can’t wait until Breaking Dawn is out to finally be able to talk about it with all of you!
Stephenie
As always, the Twilight Lexicon will be doing what is asked of us. This means that as of July 14th at 9:00 pm EST, the Twilight Lexicon will be closed for open posting. We will continue to post our usual news updates on the front page so that you will not miss out on any important information, but the comments will be turned off.
The Lexicon will reopen in full on Aug. 3 around 9:00 am. This will give our staff a chance to read and digest Breaking Dawn without having to worry about the site. At that time we will start multiple threads for discussion and have our usual "request a topic" thread to cover the areas we may have missed. All Breaking Dawn discussion will be contained in the Breaking Dawn forum for at least a month if not longer. We ask that no avatars, banners, or signatures contain any spoiler information until Sept. 2, giving the majority of the fans here in the States a full month to get their book and read it.
This is how we did things for New Moon and Eclipse, and it worked rather well. Granted, the fandom and the population of our site has increased tenfold in the last year. This may come as a surprise to those of you that are new, but for those of us that have been around a while, I hope you can understand our need to keep the spoilers down to a minimum. If you must spoil, do it in your private e-mails and not out in the open where someone who really doesn’t want to know won’t see it. We do things like this not to ruin the fun, but to make sure that everyone can get the information on their own terms.

The Evening Post…
The Free Press is looking for Twilight fans’ input about what you expect to happen in Breaking Dawn. Go offer them your predictions!
Popmatters has an article about "Travel Reads" – books you just might be itching to read this summer.
The Guardian from the UK has a review of The Host.
Publisher’s Weekly has a list of all of the novels to be released during the entire month of August. If you notice the number of copies of Breaking Dawn being released….it blows everyone else out of the water. Way to go Stephenie!
The Watertown Daily Times has an article offering up some fun summer reads that may help kids expand their horizons. Go check it out!
Finally Laura (aka Jasper on Nox) over at Equinox (the Twilight RPG site) has informed us that they are in the process of setting up a "Vampire rock band" call Zenith.
We’re planning to play songs in the style of those on Stephenie’s playlists, and to maybe cover some of them copyright permitting. Anyway we are currently holding open auditions, mainly for a drummer and pianist although if anyone is able to play any other instruments we’re open to suggestions. We’ve set up a page with further details for anyone that’s interested in auditioning which is located here: http://equinoxrpg.com/zenith.php It’s all across the internet we’re planning to stick different parts together with music software so it doesn’t matter where they live as long as they have an instrument, microphone and internet access.
So if you are interested head on over and show them what you’ve got!
The Great Lexicon Debate
The Great Lexicon debate rages on as the question about imprinting is posed. Is the concept of Imprinting good or bad, fair or not? What are your thoughts? What do you believe Stephenie want us to think? Check out the thread and let your opinions be heard!
Big thank you shout out to December for leading the debate.
