IPad Meet Twilight Graphic Novel

The folks over at Twilight France tipped us off to this one. Twilight graphic novel is in Top 100 AppStore apps (for IPad).  According to Twilight France (translation via Google Translate) “You probably do not miss the information in all the newspapers, the iPad was released Saturday in the U.S. (and in France next April) … And Twilight is already in the spotlight with a demo of the application of the graphic novel Twilight Volume 1 in English but in French ! This trial offers for free the first pages of the book and already ranks in the Top 100 on AppStore U.S. (at the 71th place)!  The entire book will soon be available (but its price has not yet been announced). “

How did the Twilight Stars Spend Easter/Passover?

Here’s a bit of a retrospective of what various Twilight stars did over Easter.

beachPeter Facinelli took his family on a well deserved rest to an undisclosed tropical location. Peter Tweeted, “The Easter Bunny left Carribean quarters in their plastic eggs My daughter asked what the exchange rate was.”

Here’s to Peter and family having great quality time together.

Jodelle Ferland asked for suggestions from her Twitter followers on what she should do with her Easter eggs and she did an Eclispe one.

And Edi Gathegi went to the dogs.

Twilight Saga Missing a Gaming Opportunity?

EclispeSmallAccording to Yahoo News’ Plugged In site:

“Hardly any big-budget movie goes by these days without an accompanying video game release — but the absence of a game based on Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight property is causing publishers to miss out on millions, according to British trade paper MCV.

“Given how hot a property it is, Twilight could easily present a seven-figure exploitation opportunity,” analyst Nick Gibson told the publication, “especially if publishers look at taking it beyond retail gaming and considers network gaming.”

Gibson goes on to suggest such a game would perform well with the broader audiences of the Nintendo’s Wii and DS machines, and would be unlikely to be targeted at gamers with Xbox 360s or PS3s.”

So here’s the question, given that Twilight is undeniably a predominantly female driven enterprise, is there a strong enough female gamer market considering that the industry given, current market trends and research, is male dominated?

Also given the vast ways in which the Twilight was marketed for New Moon, everything from make-up to Burger King sliders, would a video game have been a welcome item or one more forgettable piece of a marketing blitz?

And in case you are wondering what happened to student videogame developer Brandon, here is his website. TY to NollieMarie07 on Twitter for the heads up.

Booboo Stewart Interviewed By Team Booboo Seth

The fansite Team Booboo Seth interviewed Booboo (we’ve just discovered that we have been spelling his name wrong for months. It’s one word.) Also of note, in the background at the table is Booboo’s dad, Nils. The person who sucker punched Booboo must have had a death wish, Nils is HUGE and Booboo is a martial arts expert. Team Booboo Seth was also on hand when the punching incident took place an have their report here. Their interview of Booboo is below.

Eclipse Premiere Date Confirmed

eclipsecropIt has just been confirmed that the premiere for The Twilight Saga: Eclispe will take place on June 24, 2010.  There was word circulating yesterday that the premiere would be held at Grauman’s Chineese Theatre on June 24, but our confirmation from Summit specifically stated that the location hasn’t been finalized.  So don’t book your plane tickets just yet!  But go ahead and save the date.

Boo Boo Stewart Signing Has Unfortunate End

Yesterday Boo Boo Stewart did a fan signing in the Richmond Mall in Vancouver Cananda for fans(see above). All went well until (we are assuming it was Boo Boo) got sucker punched. According to the Mammarazzi1 twitter (the twitter run by Boo Boo’s mom for her kids, Boo Boo and Fivel)”hey its a bummer that someone thought itd be cool to sucker punch me chased him down held him until police came no biggie had a great time” and then in response to a local entertainment photographer who covered the event “thanks, had a great time even though i got punched, it all ended up ok, i’m ok thanks to everyone.” At first we weren’t clear whether the person who was attacked was Boo Boo or his mom, but sentiment seems to indicate that it was Boo Boo (who happens to be incredibly skilled in marital arts). The motive and mental well-being of the attacker is unconfirmed, but clearly they’ve never seen the size of Boo Boo’s dad.

Alex Meraz, A Photoshoot, and a Trip Down Twilight Memory Lane

AlexJJcolton

Just Jared has an article up covering a photo shoot Alex Meraz did with two other up-in-coming Hollywood actors.

“A trio of young gents are featured in the “L.A. Story” photo spread from the April/May 2010 issue of Da Man Magazine (with Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley on the cover) — Twilight werewolf Alex Meraz, Colton Haynes from the upcoming ABC series The Gates and artist/editor Eric France.”

Now, for those of you who have been following Twilight for awhile, we have a trivia question for you. Why did this story cause Pel to do a spit take. If you’ve  ever attended a Lexicon Movie Madness Panel at a Twilight Convention you’ll know why.  Hint: Paul Wesley and Eric France weren’t what caused the spit take. (In fact just to make it interesting, the first person who posts what Pel judges to be the bast answer on why she did a spit take will get a free copy of the Twilight Graphic Novel from us.)

Anyway, congrats to the guys and here’s to successful careers.
