Stephenie Meyer in Vogue: Dreamcatcher

Thanks to Misti for the original heads up on this about a week ago. Vogue finally loaded the story (well at least a part of it via Style) online today.

In the article Stephenie talks about writing, her home life, and more. It’s the first article we’ve seen in ages that covers new angles and isn’t the same old same old.

“I had always told myself stories my whole life and assumed that everyone does,” Meyer says. “You know, it’s funny; in Jane Eyre, which is something I’ve read 40 million times, there’s this scene where she shows Rochester her paintings. And she explains that in her head it was so different. And Rochester replies that she captured just a wisp of what she was seeing. I used to paint, and I won a few watercolor contests, but I could never get it to look exactly like it did in my head. But with writing, I discovered I could get it to look exactly like it did in my head.”

The Salute To Twilight Convention: Picture, Picture

There’s a great photo essay over on M&G of the Salute to Twilight Convention that took place last weekend. they have everyone from Kellan Lutz in the gray beanie (We’re telling you Rob started a trend!), Mike Welch still sporting dark brown hair, Jackson Rathbone rocking out with his band, Christian Serratos hanging out with fans and more. Check it out!

Bronson Pelletier Confirmed in New Moon Cast

TY to Lexiconer Sarah for the heads up on this one.

Canadian actor Bronson Pelletier’s agency has confirmed that he has landed a “major role” in New Moon. The question of the hour of course is which one.  His resume includes a stint on Discovery kids DinoSapien where he was 19 when he gave this interview.

Canadians will recognize him from the series Renegadepress where he played the role of Jack Sinclair.

According to Wikipedia (which we realize isn’t always accurate) Bronson is a Native American First Nations(Apparently the right term for the majority of indigenous people from Canada. We stand corrected.)  member of the Plains Cree tribe.

So, Lexiconers, let the speculation begin. Given his age and background, who do you think he is going to play?

TY to Lisette who tracked down video. You can see Bronson in the first 15 seconds or so.

Cast Interviews

Today is your lucky day for cast interviews

First up, Twifans continues their Salute to Twilight Coverage with Rachelle LeFevre and Edi Gathegi.

Rob Pattinson gave a quick quote to the Chicago Sun Times,

“Now Pattinson heads back north to Canada to work on both “New Moon” and the third film in the vampire series, which the actor says “will keep me on a treadmill” for some time to come. “But I’m not complaining. There are so many unemployed actors — especially now. … I feel very fortunate.”

Popstar has an interview with Peter Facinelli where he talks about the New Moon script and more. In case you are wondering what Peter’s favorite book in the series is, here’s the answer:

PopStar: Which is your favorite Twilight book?
Peter Facinelli: I am one of the biggest fans of the book.  I like Eclipse because it has a lot of action in it. Twilight is a close second because it gave such a great setup to this world but Eclipse has a lot of back story on the family and I am excited to shoot the third one.  The fourth one is really interesting too! on the

The Justin Chon Fansite let us know that we can expect to hear from Justin “…watch Justin tomorrow (Tues) on the TV Guide Network’s “Hollywood 411″?  It will air 1:00 am PST, 11:00 am PST and 6:00 pm PST.”
Also he had another photoshoot with nolan dean

Unsurprisingly, Kellan Lutz Online has an interview with…drumroll please…Kellan Lutz.  Kellan talks about his upcoming projects, but he also opens up about his goal-oriented outlook on life.

“Is there anything you always have with you? Like a bracelet, necklace, ring, etc?

Yes, I actually always wear a white (which is now kind of cream in color haha) piece of twine around my left wrist, representing Freedom. It was the toughest decision of my life to pursue acting and to put aside all my hard work and scholarships for college. I have no regrets with the decision I made and I wear my bracelet to remind me of what it took to find my personal freedom and my personal journey in life.”

Catherine Hardwicke to Work With Summit Again

No, the title isn’t a typo. Yes, we had to read the email from EW twice to believe what we were reading. According to Entertainment Weekly,

“Summit Entertainment is trying to make lightning strike twice. The studio behind the Twilight movie series has plans to adapt a buzzy young-adult novel called If I Stay with Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke at the helm…”

Pel’s reaction, “Wow, anything’s possible. The next thing you know I’ll get my wish and Colin Firth will be Aro.”

Blu-Ray Dilemma

We’ve gotten a bunch of emails from people who pre-ordered the Twilight Blu-Ray DVD from Target and Best Buy and who have now gotten emails indicating that they won’t be receiving their Blu-Ray as intially anticipated. Before we get any more emails, we’ve sent an inquiry to our rep at Summit who is checking it out with the home entertainment division to find out exactly what is going on. As soon as we know, we’ll pass on the info.

UPDATE THIS JUST IN FROM SUMMIT: “Both ( emails sent to customers of Target and Best Buy stating the Blu-Ray won’t release until May) are errors. Best Buy and Target are sending communications to all of their customer service reps to let them know that 3/21 is still the street date. We expect that they will also e-mail customers who have pre-ordered the Blu-Ray so there is no confusion.”

Ashley talks about the New Moon Script

TWILIGHT’S ASHLEY GREENE REVEALS SHE JUST READ THE SCRIPT FOR NEW MOON

And…“I like it better than the first one. I might be biased because I have a bigger part.”

Plus – Greene comments on the rumors 90210’s AnnaLynne McCord is joining the sequel – “AnnaLynne is actually a friend of mine… There are a lot of rumors, but that one holds a little bit of weight.”

(Los AngelesFebruary 23, 2009) – Only “Extra” joined Twilight’s Ashley Greene at Las Vegas’ Prive Nightclub inside Planet Hollywood as she celebrated her 22nd birthday AND dished about this year’s most anticipated sequel, New Moon!

Greene exclaims, “I’m so excited. I finally, finally got the script….and it’s good. It’s really good….I’m really excited to work with Chris [Wentz, director]. I finally spoke to him the other day.” She adds, “I like it [script] better than the first one. I might be biased because I have a bigger part.”

As for 90210 star AnnaLynne McCord joining the cast, Greene responds, “AnnaLynne is actually a friend of mine, so I have heard about her being cast. There are a lot of rumors, but that one holds a little bit of weight…but I hope so. She’s a great girl.”

When asked how the success of Twilight has affected Greene, she says, “It’s nice for me because as Alice, a lot of people don’t recognize me because my hair is longer and everything’s a little different so it’s kind of slowly happening. Versus poor Rob [Pattinson] went from nobody knowing him to everything being documented.” Revealing the weirdest fan request she’s received, Greene says, “I finally got asked to bite someone at a convention.”

Although the paparazzi have yet to catch up with Greene, she admits, “I have no social life….Right now it’s my career…It’s very, very difficult to have a boyfriend.” As for what she looks for in that special someone, she reveals, “Someone that I can completely be myself around…Someone that gets along with my friends…if they don’t get along with my friends, that’s it [its done].”

Twilight the Board Game

Go to Charlie’s office, directly to Charlie’s office, do not pass the La Push Reservation, do not collect…Ok sorry, we couldn’t help ourselves. It was just our reaction to learn the latest in Twilight mass marketing is Twilight:the board game.  Alas the game pieces don’t sparkle in the sunlight. You can see them here in the i09 gallery, for a good laugh note the names of the items in the gallery by right clicking on them.

MTV Interviews Robert Pattinson on the Oscar Red Carpet

They also have a follow-up article where they cap his whole evening.

And they have another video where Rob, learns of the Eclipse release date from MTV. Ty to Emily for pointing out that we missed that one.

According to Show Biz Spy, one of Rob’s comments on the carpet was, “This is my last night of light. I go up to Canada soon [to shoot New Moon]. And my character goes 50 times darker then it did in the first movie.”

Kristen Stewart in Nylon Magazine

Nylon Magazine interviewed Kristen Stewart in their current issue.  She covers her new Joan Jett project as well as the Twilight experience.  Be warned the language of the interview isn’t PG-13. TY to Twi-Crack Addict for the heads up.
