There is an article here on the shooting at Charlie’s house.
Also don’t forget to vote for Stephenie in Time Magazine top 100 news makers!
Stephenie has made the list of Time magazine’s top 100 newsmakers. This is quite an honor. Go vote for Stephenie!
Warning the page takes FOREVER to load because of the atwola tracking software. DON’T be discouraged, it will load eventually!
Thanks to Samantha for the heads up
EDITED: voting for Stephenie=cool, voting down other random contenders totally NOT cool. If we win this let’s do it with class.
Peter Facinelli, who plays Carlisle in the Twilight movie, answered was nice enough to give us an interview.

Some special features are as follows:
We’d like to thank Cocoa for conducting the interview, Chelle and Peter’s management, but most especially Peter for taking the time to do this during a very hectic week.
Dark Horizons did an onset report with the Twilight cast. Harry Potter fans may recognize one of the interviewers, Andrew Sims, from his Mugglenet experience.
Thanks to Anphelps for the heads up.
Edited: Stephenie has not yet signed over the rights for any sequels. If she does, then they can film it, but as of now, no such deal is in play.
The Folks over at Kellmett (you have to love that name, shear genius) are sponsoring the Forkies–a fansite and fan recognition contest. There’s a button below that will take you right there and that any site can use to advertise this. Please note that the site does not have to be an LJ site to be nominated, nor do you need to have an LJ to make a nominating post. All of your favorite Twilight related sites are up for nomination… including the Lexicon!
The Kellmett is the home of the fabulous Kikki who has given us those wonderful what it’s like to be an extra on set reports.
CLICK TO NOMINATE!Speaking of set reports, since I have been asked, the Lexicon’s policy for photos and reports has always been from the beginning that we will only publish what people standing behind rope lines who do not create problems give to us, and any extra info that is not a violation of anyone’s contract with Summit. Ask K from Kalama, she’ll back me up on this.
We continue to stand by that policy established well over a month ago. Yes there is info floating out there that we get(sometimes we’ve had it for weeks…or even years ask Alphie), verify the legitimacy and then sometimes don’t publish because we’ve been asked not to by various people. It’s not that we don’t know, it’s a respect thing. That’s why we have a great rapport with Stephenie, various artists, and other media outlets.
Some Lexiconers are leading the charge into The Host fandom.
First there is the wonderful The Host Index run by the fabulous Alcyone, Julia, Ouisa, Violet Quagmire, Corygirl. They have a blog, forums, you name it they have it! Check them out.
Next up is The Host Library, a fanfic site run by the equally fabulous Geographee. They are currently holding a fanfic contest. Details below, so check them out!
Flash Fic ContestThe Host Library is pleased to announce its first flash fiction contest. The rules are as follows:
1. All submissions may be no longer than 500 words.
2. All submissions must be based on the excerpt of The Host found on Stephenie Meyer’s website.
3. Submissions must be sent to [email protected] no later than 12 AM EST on April 15th.
The winning stories will be posted in The Library on April 20th!
First Submission PeriodIf you would like to become an author here, our submission process is very simple. Our first open submission period (separate from the Flash Fic Contest) will be June 6th through the 13th. Please read our Submission Guidelines CAREFULLY, anything that does not conform to our rules will be immediately disqualified. Then send your work to [email protected] or [email protected]. (Anything sent BEFORE or AFTER the open submission period will be automatically deleted.) Sometime in July, we will send out notices to all of the accepted authors/artists. Please note that you are either accepted as an author or an artist, not within both categories, unless you submit work and are accepted in both categories.
The Movie Fanatic site has an list of the hottest 50 male stars, and guess who has made the top 30? Currently they have 31-50 listed, but Rob’s picture is featured in their top of the list photo array. So stay tuned to see what number he comes in at!
Thanks to BLOODSUCKINGLEECH for the heads-up!
While I’m speaking of Rob, there is a support Rob as Edward petition going around. We think most of the early groaning has died down, but a show of support never hurts, so sign in!
Finally check back this afternoon for details on another cool petition that everyone can get onboard for!
The Silverton Appeal has a picture of Rob and Kristen’s doubles, Helena Barrett and Paul Darnell, doing some stunt work. The article talks about some recent shooting in a local park. In all probability this is what Kristen was referencing In her MTV interview when she mentioned running in the tree tops. Be warned the picture is a little spoilery, so don’t click if you’d rather be surprised.
Thanks to Twilight Obsessed for the heads-up.
When we read Mike Welch’s blog today and he spoke about receiving the socks spurred on by this post, of course we wanted to know how many socks he got. So we contacted his management who told us 25 or 30 pairs of socks. Which we thought was pretty cool, but somehow we thought more fans than that had responded.
Well the next thing you know we get a phone call from Mike’s mom…yes, his mom( *waves to Mike’s mom!*). It seems that they had the number only partially right. They have received 25 BOXES of socks such as:
Mike hasn’t seen them yet since he’s been filming, he’s only been told about them and the notes attached to them.
Here’s the info from the original post:

Blog Critics has posted a review of the Host (don’t worry not too spoilery if you want to read it)
Part of the review states:
"The story ends on a note of hope. It is an emotional ride from beginning to end – all 631 pages. Any science fiction fan will enjoy this story, but Stephenie Meyer may have done for science fiction what she did for fantasy when she wrote Twilight. The Host is set in enough of a realistic setting that even people who aren’t sci-fi fans will enjoy this story. You’ll want to put this one in your to-be-read-again pile."
