ABC: 2011 is All About Potter, Pirates and Twilight

According to ABC News 2011 is the year of the powerhouse sequel:

“The holiday season brings part one of “Breaking Dawn,” the finale to author Stephenie Meyer’s supernatural romance that began with “Twilight.” Kristen Stewart’s back for the closing round in her torn-between-two-lovers relationship with her vampire beau (Robert Pattinson) and werewolf pal (Taylor Lautner).”

There are so many sequel and reboots running the total is staggering. Check it all out on ABC.

The Daily Blam Interviews Jackson Rathbone

The Daily Blam had the chance to fire a few questions at Jackson Rathbone covering his music, TV appearances, future films, and Breaking Dawn.

“Talking with Jackson about the upcoming two-part film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, which is currently shooting in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he mentioned he still had “a bit” of filming left for his role as Jasper Hale. Besides that, he remained tight-lipped about the project. When asked whether his character and Renesmee (daughter of Bella and Edward) may have any interaction not included in the novel, Jackson cryptically joked, “Shhh…. it’s rabbit season!”

Another film franchise Jackson is a part of with a large, yet wildly different, following is The Last Airbender based on the popular Nickelodeon cartoon. No word has been released whether the sequel film (or, Book Two, to Air Bender fans) has been greenlit, though Rathbone remains optimistic.

Ever comedic, Rathbone said he prepares for his roles in popular franchise like Last Airbender and Twilight by, “eating my veggies, drinking lots of black coffee, and going to church.”

I had the time to throw one more question at Jackson, which actually came from one of our other Correspondents Christopher Lee, who wanted to know the actor’s thoughts on the current craze of comic book derived movies and what, if any, comic book character would most like to portray on screen.

“It’s a bigger comic universe… I always thought I’d make a great young Nightcrawler… or Forge… I’ve always been a huge fan of X-Men and hope to one day join in on the growing ensemble of characters. I also do like to portray bad guys… Spawn remake anyone?”

Booboo Stewart Singing and Playing the Guitar Live at LA IPOP

Booboo’s mom recorded the day from sound check and rehearsal to performance. The song is “Change” which is a new one performed by Booboo and his sister Fivel. Their little sister Sage pops up from time to time, and I’m almost sure it’s their oldest sister playing bass.

Colin Farrell Wishes Robert Pattinson Well

Robert Pattinson is set to replace Colin Farrell in Cosmopolis. It will film this summer after Breaking Dawn wraps.

According to the description: “Pattinson’s first post-“Twilight” movie will be “Cosmopolis,” an adaptation of the novel by Don DeLillo, to be directed by David Cronenberg.

Pattinson will play “financial wunderkind” Eric Packer, who risks his entire fortune to bet against Japan’s yen on a tumultuous day. The character’s chancy move puts him in mortal danger. The flick is said to be “a drama that is a study of capitalism in a slightly futuristic metropolis.”

MTV caught up with Colin and fortunately there are no hard feelings.
