Liz Reaser: I’m Not Esme

MTV: What is your favorite scene in “New Moon”?

Reaser: I love Taylor in “New Moon”; he’s amazing. There are great scenes with Taylor and Kristen [Stewart]. I just think they’re really lovely together. I love those characters together. They’re sort of falling in love, and it’s an interesting love affair, because she’s still in love with Edward, and she’s devastated and heartbroken, and he’s [gone. I also love] the birthday-party scene, because it’s all the Cullens, and it’s Bella’s birthday, and Alice threw together this big party for her. And then she gets a paper cut, and it’s really dangerous for her to get a paper cut at our house.

Chris Weitz On Bad Jane

For Fanning, it was the chance to be the bad girl for once.

“She’s never really gotten to play a bad person before, probably because she is a very good person. She is really a lovely young person. But I think she had some fun playing, really, the most evil of all the bad guys,” Weitz said. “[Jane]’s bad news. Very bad.”

Parent’s Examiner: Daniel Cudmore Interview

Kim Sherman, the Parent’s Examiner, interviewed Daniel Cudmore:

“The burning question posed by fans who adore both Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen: Which did you enjoy more- throwing around Wolverine or Edward Cullen?

No question about that one. “I definitely enjoyed throwing around Edward,” Daniel booms. “Wolverine was one toss.”

Daniel went on about working with Robert in the fight scene, and is proud of the fact that Robert took on a lot of the work himself.

“Robert and I worked together on a lot of it. He was a little apprehensive at first, but he enjoyed himself. Robert did one of the main sections of the fight.” Fortunately, Daniel and stunt man Simon had worked together on AVPR previously, so their rapport was intact. “Simon took some pretty hard hits on the ground, especially the ones where I’m throwing him on the floor from six feet above.”

Vanity Fair Kicks Off Vamp Week

Vanity Fair is kicking off what they are calling Vamp Week with an interview with Peter Facinelli.

What would you say is the one major thing that has changed about your life since starting the franchise?

I’m traveling a lot more than I used to and interacting with a lot more people. The fan base on this, I don’t know how else to explain it … it’s a cultural phenomenon. People will actually hop on a plane to see you. Sometimes I do these charity events, and people fly in to come and see me. I’m just really, really impressed with [the fan] dedication to these books and to the movies. I’ve always had a fan base with the work I’ve done, but never as rabid as this.

You seem pretty dedicated to them, too, judging by your Twitter page.

You know, I love connecting with the fans because I’m a fan of the books myself. They’re all so dedicated and wonderful to me that I love to be able to give back. So if stopping for a picture or signing a book of theirs puts a smile on their face, then that makes me happy, too. I kind of go out of my way to make sure—if there are fans hanging around the set—to try to stop and say hello to them before I get in the van. It takes five minutes to make people happy. I love interacting with them.”
