Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, and Jackson Rathbone sat down with access Hollywood to talk about action sequences and those cardboard “cows.”
Kristen Stewart on Bella/Jacob “Moment” in Eclipse
If you’ve read Eclipse, then you know that Bella kisses Jacob just before the battle in Eclipse. It’s something that Jacob fans have always used in support of their argument and proven to be one of the biggest talking points of the series. Kristen Stewart talked to MTV about it as well.
“Bella gets to a point where the only way to save him is to kiss him, and what surprises her is she’s not only able to do it…”
She continued: “She can clearly see that he offers a really desirable path that [wasn’t there] before, because she was so obsessed with Edward. She just had to like nothing else. She had no perspective, and so it’s a moment.”

Melissa Rosenberg Updates Facebook Page
In an interview with MTV, screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg hinted that the birth scene in Breaking Dawn may take place off screen and that she would leave it to director Bill Condon to decide. Yet it seems many fans took her comments to mean that we wouldn’t get a birth scene at all or any “feathers.” Here’s how Rosenberg responded to the worries.
“Hi y’all! Not sure where some of you got the impression I intended to leave birth scene out of Breaking Dawn, but it’s inaccurate. Of course the birth scene will be in there! And the sex scenes! And the feathers! And the blood! Perhaps you misinterpreted what I said about not needing to see BUCKETS of blood in order to convey the terror of the birth scene. But rest easy all! xoxo Mel”

Fansite Friday interviews Jodelle Ferland
For our final Fansite Friday, we have Bree Tanner herself, Jodelle Ferland. Take note that we did this interview before The Second Short Life of Bree Tanner was released.
Jodelle Ferland:
Q: We all know that you had a chance to read the ‘Eclipse’ novella, but we were wondering if you got to sit down with Stephenie and go over your character?
Jodelle: I did get to read the book first, which was great. I did talk to Stephenie, but most of the talking I did with David Slade, the director. He sat down and talked with me about the character and the book. So I did most of that with David Slade but I did talk to Stephenie about it too.
Q: You’ve known about the book for a long time, much longer than us. Now that it’s officially been announced and the release date is out there, do you feel different about your character? More excited, more nervous?
Jodelle: When I first got to read the book, I didn’t know what was going to happen with it and I don’t think that Stephenie did either. So when I found out that it was coming out as it’s own book I was really excited. Even though I already knew about it, I was just so excited that my character was getting her own book! I can’t wait for it to come out. [Read more…]
Liz Reaser’s Top 5 Filming Moments from Eclipse
EW has a list of Elizabeth Reaser’s top five moments while filming Eclipse. She addressed working with Dakota Fanning, Bryce Dallas Howard, Xavier Samuel, and Jodelle Ferland as well as the teaming up between the Cullen family and the wolf pack. But she had this to say about her on screen hubby:
“There was an action scene I did with Peter [Facinelli] where we were in a battle. We fight together — because we’re a team and he’s so protective he wouldn’t let me fight by myself — it’s pretty intense. We both do some intensely violent things, which was pretty scary. And I didn’t enjoy that stuff. I realized I don’t like pretending to hit people because it kind of makes me feel bad, like what if I hit them [for real]? What if I get nervous? And so the director was like, ‘You’re not getting mad.’ He tried to piss me off and it worked. [Laughs] He started yelling things at me off-camera to genuinely make me mad. So then I got really mad and he was like, ‘Yea!’ It was a weird thing but a great tactic on his part.”

New Eclipse Footage from E! News and Moviefone
There are lots of spoilers in this footage – at least what I consider movie type spoilers. For those of you really anxious to see the action in Eclipse, this clip will give you a great look at the many action sequences. But do be warned, for those of you trying to stay somewhat spoiler free, that there is quite a bit in this that hasn’t been seen yet about the Cullens and the wolves working together.
And if that isn’t enough for you, Moviefone has even more footage in HD on their website. Pel is in the air right now or I’m sure she would know how to embed this media! But for the time being, you can click the link to Moviefone and enjoy the video over there.
FearNet:David Slade on ‘Eclipse’ Decapitations and What Scared the MPAA
Having seen the movie, the said decapitations are COOL and have the best sound ever totally unique. It was actually funny. When Alphie wrote her review, she wanted to include the word decapitations and dismemberment, but Summit asked us not to for fear MPAA would look at it again. The euphemism Alphie used instead was “characters die on screen exactly how described in book”. Looks like they aren’t concerned about a relook at rating now :
“Was directing a PG-13 Twilight film such a major change for Slade, whose previous features earned R-ratings for “disturbing violent behavior” (Hard Candy) and good old-fashioned bloody vampire violence (30 Days of Night)? What skin-ripping scenes in Eclipse were too extreme for the MPAA? How did he get Taylor Lautner to wear a skin-tight gray spandex wolf suit on set? And lastly, what message does he have for hardcore horror hounds reluctant to give his Twilight movie a chance?
Was there a discernable transition making the jump from your earlier, R-rated genre work to the Twilight franchise?
It wasn’t that hard. We have like six decapitations in Eclipse! We smash people’s heads off, bite people’s heads off, I mean — I was amazed we got the rating we did, the MPAA only threw back one thing: we had this one part in the battle where Emmett just tears someone’s face off. The face kind of breaks off into pieces of crystal that shatter. I was like, ‘Whoa, yeah!’ But the MPAA said ‘No, you can’t do that.’ So the shot’s still in there, but you don’t see the face come off, you just see little bits of stuff breaking off.

Bryce Dallas Howard in July Self Magazine
Here are some snippets from Bryce Dallas Howard’s July Self Magazine’s story, fellow vamp, Anna Paquin from True Blood is on the cover.:
friend formula
“Understanding that those dearest to me show and accept love differently is key. For example, I’m not a big letter writer, but my best friend is, so to show her that I care, I write to her. Recently, she revealed she’s kept every letter I’ve written to her since we were 15!”
style changers
“I wear more of my clothes! My nice things used to stay in the closet because I was afraid to ruin them. A stylist friend taught me that it’s important to get “dressed!”
workout plan
“Everyone got fit for Eclipse, but maintaining was the challenge! I created a fitness club with five friends. We have weekly check-ins and a reward system. I don’t want to let them down, so success is much more likely. And fun!”
happiness requirements
“1. Ordering in and hunkering down with my husband to watch Spartacus on TV
2. Hanging and talking about nothing and everything with my best friend and sister”
Beauty secrets
“I dry-brush my skin before showering. It’s exfoliating. And Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant is a fantastic lip balm.”
food choices
“I was a vegan until I developed a condition that makes meat’s amino acids critical to my health. The transition was emotional, but I’m grateful that I can still appreciate where food comes from.”
killer cool
“I’m a “Twi-hard”; I read all the books. Victoria is bloodthirsty and a grieving widow. So she was fun to play!”
