Kristen Stewart Audio From Press Junket

Collider was at a roundtable discussion with Kristen Stewart where various journalists asked her questions about her upcoming projects.

According to Collider: Kristen was in great spirits, so when we finally started talking about “New Moon” she was cool with the questions. But while many are just looking forward to “New Moon” and “Eclipse”, she’s also going to be playing Joan Jett in “The Runaways”, and after hearing her talk so passionately about the project, I can see it means a great deal to her.”

The LA Times gave their spin as does HitFix.

Team Switzerland! And it’s not even Friday

Our fault (smack) we were supposed to post this on Friday (smack). It’s been one of those weeks.  So here’s the slightly belated kick-off of a great idea from Novel Novice.

It’s Friday — and that means it’s Team Switzerland Day! Every Friday this year will be your chance to show support for Team Switzerland. But wait — you can’t give up your passion for Team Edward or Team Jacob? That’s okay! Team Switzerland Day is also a chance to show how Team Edward & Team Jacob can get along!

In the spirit of site neutrality, The Twilight Lexicon, His Golden Eyes, and Twilighters Anonymous have joined the Team Switzerland Project.

Forkfuls: Twilight Saga Tidbits

UK’s Glamour magazine is starting voting in  “The 2009 GLAMOUR Women of the Year Awards” They will be honoring the best female talent from across the globe on June 2nd, but you have to vote to see who they will honor. It just so happens that Stephenie Meyer, Catherine Hardwicke, and Kristen Stewart are nominated in various categories. TY to Twilighters.

Catherine Hardwicke on being honored at the  Texas Film Awards: ““They told me I had to wear red, OK. I just found that out about a week ago. This is the only red thing I have, and it’s by Oscar de la Renta and I wore it to the Vatican to the premiere of ‘Nativity.'”

The vampires may be vegetarians, but most of the cast isn’t. They had a cast dinner at a steakhouse in Vancouver before heading out for the weekend. The mangament said, “They were a pleasant bunch, very courteous.”

Ashley Greene at Saks Fifth Avenue

Full Photo Gallery Here

So I went into NYC today to donate dresses to a great cause and to say hi to Ashley.  Ashley was at Saks Fifth Avenue, The fifth ave flagship store that’s located right next to St. Patrick’s Cathedral and across the street from Rockefeller Center, to encourage people to come out and to give gently used formal dresses to donatemydress.org.

According to the site’s stated purpose on their website:

DonateMyDress.org is the first national campaign designed to encourage girls around the country to donate their prom and special occasion dresses to those who cannot afford to finance the costly experience of going to their prom, sweet 16, quinceañera or formal on their own. The site features a directory of local dress drive organizations across the U.S. that will enable girls to easily find out where in their local markets they can donate a dress or receive one.

Ashley got involved with the group since she knew what it was like to struggle to pay for formal wear.

Anyway, I got there and met up with folks from Twicon, Twilight Live, and Twilight Moms (*waves hi*). After standing on line for like two hours we got to donate our items and chat with Ashley.

One of the funniest moments had to be when a Saks employee came down the waiting line and asked, “Is there anyone here who just wants to drop off a dress, and not see Ashley?” We were good, we didn’t laugh in her face. However after she left we were all like “Is she nuts!?” Plus, I think I can safely speak for most of us on the line when I say that we CLEARLY were not regular Saks Fifth Avenue flagship store clientele. Let’s face that most upscale thing anyone was wearing was an Abercrombie sweatshirt. I think I can pretty much guarantee that we wouldn’t have been there otherwise.  Kudos to Saks on the first floor staff and the staff running the event all of whom were really friendly. The rest of the staff seemed to be channeling the dress shop employees from the movie Pretty Women. Unfortunately, Richard Gere was no place to be found to demand serious groveling.

So I donated my haul having cleaned out both my closet and my sister’s closet, and then I said hi to Ashley and asked her a quick question. I knew I’d only get one, and given the recent photos of the cast with Nikki, Ashley, Taylor, and now Jackson in wigs I knew what I wanted to ask.

I asked her, “How is it now having wig buddies on the set?”

It took her a second to get what I was asking and she laughed and said, “Oh my God! Now they know my pain! But the good thing is my wig this time is more comfortable.” Then she added, “The guys are the worst about the wigs, they are so funny. (She mimes pulling on the wig and fidgeting) Jackson has one too since his real hair is in a Mohawk for The Last Airbender.

There was a variety of of press there, look for upcoming coverage, and Ashley will be on Good Day New York on Monday.

Bobby Long Goes On Tour

Blast Magazine has a rundown of Bobby Long’s upcoming US appearances.

According to Bobby’s manager in the Blast issue:

“Bobby has several US labels looking at him right now. It would be a huge help if any one who is not already a “friend” of Bobby’s on MySpace would send him a request as soon as possible so that the numbers go up. As ever
you can stop in and say hello at www.myspace.com/musicbobbylong.

Bobby is in the process of making a DVD which will include the video for “Left To Lie” interviews and several other tracks recorded live in Soho, London.

The single “Left to Lie” will be available on iTunes in the next two or three weeks.”

Check out the full Blast article with a chance to submit a question to Bobby here.

The Volturi Move To Venice?

Well, not exactly, but it seems Italy is this hot bed of anceint vampire lure. The BBC has an entire feature on vampires in Venice.

The classic stake through the heart wasn’t used so much as a brick in the mouth. Either way, OUCH!

According to Matteo Borrini of Florence University.

“Wedging a rock or brick into the mouth of a suspected vampire was a way of preventing the person from feeding on the bodies of other plague victims and rising from the grave to attack the living…The idea that plague victims might also be vampires may have arisen because blood often dribbled from the mouths of those who died from the disease.
