Twilight Music In The News

According to EW the Twilight soundtrack was falling off in the Billboard Hot 200 until the movie came out on DVD. Now it’s back with a vengence!

Also out this week is the new Blue October CD. Back in August Justin sang the acoustic version of My Never before live audiences at the Breaking Dawn Conert Tour. Well now you can get the recorded version on their new Approach Never CD.

And last, Goodnight Juliet, (the Twilight Band featured at recent Creation Entertainment conventions) is going to be performing Friday March 27th at 6 pm in the Modesto, CA Hot Topic.

Robert Pattinson Is Just Fine

Yesterday a wild rumor went around ( no, we didn’t cover it ) that Robert Pattinson was injured on set by a metal sign that supposedly hit him in the head resulting an a filming delay. That report has been given a complete denial by Rob’s manger. Kudos to Popstar for checking into the facts!

While we are at it, the following is just some of the junk we have to clean out of our inbox on a regular basis that we don’t bother to cover. It’s pretty laughable when you line it all up: Rob showers once a week, Rob never showers, Rob has dandruff,  Rob’s beanie is his security blanket, Rob refuses to leave hotel without beanie, Rob’s BO is offending castmates, Rob’s BO and dandruff offending castmates, Kristen still passionate for Rob even with the BO,  Kristen pining for Rob, Rob pining for Kristen, everyone pining for everyone it’s really just a big hormone fest and Chris Wietz can’t get a thing done…

They also keep recycling old news because there isn’t a lot of new content. This one is our current favorite. It’s a rehash of what Kalen Nation asked Kristen Stewart on the red carpet back in November, and somehow they have spun a question about Kristen’s favorite scene in the movie into the true signs of her romance with Rob.

New Moon Filming Under Wraps

Between off-duty Canadian Mounties being hired to keep fans at a distance while the cliff diving scene was shot last weekend, and reports of local police cordoning off the roadway where they are shooting scenes at Jacob’s house this week it looks like it’s going to be very difficult for fans to get any type of glimpse at the filming of New Moon.

According to Edi Gathegi, Ashley Greene, Rachelle Lefevere, and Kellan Lutz, the paparazzi are in Vancounver and are really annoying. Additionally, various actors are being accompanied around town by security details.

While Twilight was being shot there were fans everywhere. We witnessed this ourselves when we had an invited set visit last year. Their limited security detail was constantly trying to remove bystanders so they wouldn’t be seen in background shots at the beach and create a contest and continuity problem. Other locations, like the Port Angeles frat boy scene were easily viewed at a distance with a height advantage, or fans waited at the outskirts of the Kalama HS property hoping actors would stop by on breaks.

So what do you think? Is it a good or bad thing that fan access and glimpses into the film are much more limited than last year?

Buddy TV’s Twilight Challenge

What happens when three people with way differnt backgrounds sit down and view the Twilight DVD?

Debbie really wanted Bella and Edward to get down, Meghan wanted to get down with Edward and Oscar had his own special outlook on things.

Read all of it on Buddy-TV, warning it does goes beyond a PG-13 conversation.

Robert Pattinson’s Upcoming Projects…maybe

Keeping in minds that just a few short months back Robert Pattinson was rumored to be co-starring in the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie, there is today’s rumor that Robert may be in Memoirs. There’s a little more credibility on this rumor in that it’s a Summit project and both Rob’s and Summit’s camps have issued “no comments”. The POC rumor was met with swift denial immediately after it broke.

Now for those of you dying to catch Rob in something else onscreen, How To Be is at the LA Film Festival in Burbank this weekend. No word if Rob is dropping by.

MTV Twilight Wrap-Up

The commentary on the Twilight DVD where Catherine Hardwicke talks about “Twilight anime” was nothing more than spur-of-the-moment comment.  Catherine wasn’t spilling the beans on an insider project. The closest you can get to a Twilight anime is the Japanese print version of the book that contain several illustrations, but is not a full-blown graphic novel.

Twilight Hits Beverly Hills:

Nikki Finke Promises Eclipse News

Nikki Finke of Deadline Hollywood is still having a bit of a print war with other LA bloggers, media moguls, and studio bosses. If you remember, last week she called out Goldstein  of the LA Times and Eric Feig of Summit. This then lead to Feig claiming that he never gave the rather disparaging quote regarding Nikki’s reporting on Eclipse to Goldstein the LA Times to begin with.

So Nikki responds to those who have supposedly been trying to undermine her, and in the middle of her rather long blog that in our opinion reads like a CIA deep cover op meets conspiracy theory is this tidbit:

She also brought up my reporting that Summit Entertainment had picked director Juan Antonio Bayona to direct its Twilight threequel, Eclipse. Patrick jumped on this, too. I never said he was hired to helm. And, today tomorrow, I have more news on this story that further confirms what I wrote was accurate. If only Goldstein spent more time reporting about Hollywood, and less time reporting about me.

So, Nikki’s got something on Eclipse to support her earlier claim that Juan Antonio Bayora will helm it. Stand by for whatever “proof” there is.

Kristen Stewart Answers 10 Questions

Kristen Stewart answered 10 questions about her upcoming projects: Advantureland, Runaways, and New Moon:

“[We are] just picking up where we left off. The story, there’s like a six-month period where the first one ended, and the second one picks up, but nothing has changed. They’re at a good, solid point in their relationship. I’m interested to see him leave because that’s what the first one is entirely based on, that abandoned devotion ultimate love story. Now she’s going to be stripped of that, and Bella is actually an interesting character on her own.”

New Moon Cast on the Paparazzi

The entire New Moon cast has had to deal with the paparazzi more so than before.  Last film it wasn’t as bad, and lenses seemed to mostly be trained on Rob and Kristen. Now it’s everyone.

According to Edi Gathegi:

“There is a mole, and the mole is feeding information. [The paparazzi] took pictures of every single one of us leaving the airport! It’s like, how are they getting this information?”

The fact that the paparazzi caught Stephenie Meyer at the airport on an off week before shooting started and sold the photos to TMZ supports Edi’s claim.

Kellan Lutz isn’t getting mad. He’s getting even:

“It’s great; we have been doing some pranks on them. I can’t really share any, but a lot of the pictures are planned.”
