Taylor Lautner in Interview Magazine

Boy did Taylor Lautner fans hit the jackpot today! Not only did Taylor Lautner give a three-page interview to Interview magazine with an amazing photo spread, but they also shot a superb video overview.

“MARTIN: What does it mean to turn into a werewolf?

LAUTNER: I think the most important thing with Jacob is that pre-transformation, he’s clumsy. He trips over his own feet. As soon as he transforms, he’s very agile. At one point, he flings himself through Bella’s window and lands at her feet, and that’s the first time Bella realizes this is a new Jacob: He never used to be this agile. I loved bringing out that side of him. The bummer is, when he becomes a wolf, that’s not actually me. When he does the cool fight scenes, he’s transformed into CGI.”

Tickets For Twilight Showing After Comic Con

There was some confusion today when apparently Fandango started selling tickets for the Twilight Showing happening at the Gaslamp in San Diego and they just as suddenly stopped selling the tickets and folks got a sold out message.  It was all the more baffling because the tickets weren’t even supposed to be on sale yet. Not to worry, our friends over at Twilighters Anonymous got to the bottom of it.

Quoted with permission:

“Good news, Twilighters. If you haven’t gotten your tickets for the special Twilight screening after Comic Con, no worries, there are still some available. There was some confusion earlier surrounding ticket sales, but we’ve got all the details and are hoping to clear up any remaining questions. Earlier today, a slight glitch in the system allowed Fandango to make the Twilight screening tickets available for sale, but the option was removed shortly thereafter and now reads that the tickets are sold out.

In short: the ticket purchase option was removed for the time being but will be available again starting Monday. If you are in the San Diego area and would like to purchase hard copy tickets for the event, you may do so starting Monday. If you aren’t in the area or would just like to purchase online, you can also do that starting Monday on Fandango’s website.

An important note, however: if you’ve purchased your tickets on Fandango, you will have until Thursday at 1pm to pick them up in person. After 1pm, the box office at the theater will close down and you will be unable to retrieve your hard copy ticket. If you neglect to pick up your hard copy tickets – even if you present your printed confirmation page at the event – you will be denied admission.

You can purchase your tickets (starting Monday) here on Fandango’s website

Legally Blonde Goes Twilight Crazy

It looks like the national touring company of Legally Blonde has Team Edward and Team Jacob fans. The Twilight stuff pops around the 1:05 mark or so and keeps going sporadically from there. TY to Pam

MTV Announces Twicon Guest Reporter

Mike Welch in ACZone

So, even with the press release we aren’t quite sure we understand this whole thing, but here goes:

Near as we can figure it’s the acne product ACZone putting on a web musical starring Mike Welch and others that is a send up of HS Musical, Spring Awakening, etc. Read the press release yourself, maybe you can figure it out better than we can.

Anyway, check out the videos here. Mike appears in the main segment and in the “news flash” section that appears to the left. He sort of does the Twilight dance in the first video.

Twilight Goes Manga

The Entertainment Weekly got the exclusive on the new Twilight Saga Manga (we’ve been asked not to embed their exclusive photo so we are compiling.)

EW.com has exclusive sketches online and this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly (which is the annual Comic-Con preview issue) has the finished illustrations of Edward, Bella, and Jacob.  The sketches don’t look simply like an artist’s rendering of Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson, but are true to the novel’s descriptions. Yen Press,  a division of Hachette Book Group (the parent company of Little Brown that publishes The Twilight Saga), is publishing this venture.

“For those of you who can’t get enough Edward and Bella, EW can announce — exclusively — that Yen Press will be publishing Twilight in graphic-novel form. Though Korean artist Young Kim is creating the art, Meyer herself is deeply immersed in the project, reviewing every panel.”

The Lexicon asked a spokesperson for Stephenie Meyer when the novel would be release and we were told the following: A publication date for Twilight: The Graphic Novel will be forthcoming.” So hang on, as soon as we know, you’ll know!

Get the full details of the Twilight Manga on EW. So, how about it Manga fans, how many of you are interested in this, or for that matter, Manga newbies, are you interested?

Muse and Brand Headed Towards MTV Awards

According to MTV:

“On September 13, the MTV Video Music Awards will return home to New York City, taking over spots all around the Big Apple, including the iconic Radio City Music Hall. Outrageous Brit Russell Brand will once again be serving as the emcee, and the show will feature high-powered performances from the likes of Taylor Swift and Muse.”

Muse has long been the band that has dominated Stephenie Meyer’s unofficial playlists. In fact, in Breaking Dawn, she thanked Muse for being her muse.

The question is, given what happened the last time Russell Brand hosted a show for MTV, are fans going to tune in to watch? You need a score card to keep track of the people Brand POed last time from the Jonas Brothers, Jordan Sparks, Twilight fans, etc. The LA times possibly said it best, “The 2008 VMAs were poised to mark the return of Britney Spears. Instead, they will go down in history as the night when that English guy from Forgetting Sarah Marshall almost made the Jonas Brothers cry.”

Edward Was Once A Hufflepuff: AKA Why Choose

We are sure that the Harry Potter fansites are just about as sick of the Twilight vs. Harry Potter comparisons as we are. They are two great books series, and near as we can figure the only comparisons are this:

  1. *Debut novels by previously unpublished women authors become wild, runaway, sales hits
  2. *People of all generations read the books, not just teens and tweens
  3. *Both allow people to lose themselves in the adventure
  4. *Remus Lupin and Jacob Black are two of the sexiest werewolves ever ( Have we mentioned that Alphie and Pel first met over Remus Lupin obsession?)

So let’s hear it for two great books that have great movie series.  We’ll be seeing Potter this week. Novel Novice even has created some wallpapers and whatnot to celebrate. Check them out.
