Summit Entertainment announced today the following have been cast in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN for roles in The Denali Coven as outlined below.
* The Denali Coven is comprised of Christian Camargo (THE HURT LOCKER, Dexter) as Eleazar; Casey LaBow (Moonlight) as Kate; Mia Maestro (Alias, POSEIDON) as Carmen; MyAnna Buring (DOOMSDAY) as Tanya; as well as previously announced Maggie Grace (Lost, TAKEN) as Irina.

Wow…the more casting confirmations I see, the more excited I get for BD. These actors look almost identical to my mental images of these characters! I’m still anxious about the story being followed correctly…but so far they’ve been spot on with casting.
Does anyone else think that MyAnna Buring looks an awful lot like Ashley Greene? Hopefully Tanya doesn’t end up looking like Alice!
Tanya is supposed to have strawberry blonde hair. That is NOT strawberry blonde. I’m prob being too picky. But it bugs me.
No I agree with you! There’s even that line in Eclipse where Bella gets jealous that Tanya liked Edward and he tells her he prefers brunettes. Course that was left out of the Eclipse movie so I guess it wouldn’t matter what the hair color would be in the BD movie. I too am nitpicky!
I agree with both comments, I thought or maybe it was just me picturing it that Tanya was supposed to be a little bigger too? Like she was a big buxom woman? Did anyone else think that too?

I seem to be great choices. When I read the books, I picture the young woman playing Kate as Tanya though. Should be fun to see how it all turns out!

That’s awesome about Christian Camargo. He was in season 1 of Dexter and is an amazing actor. Which member of the Denali coven is he playing? I haven’t read BD in awhile haha I can’t remember
He was amazing on Dexter. I think he will be fantastic as a vampire because he can be chillingly inhuman and pull off the accessible friendliness you need for the vegetarians.

At the end of book 2 I think, just after Bella becomes a Vampire.
That would be a great place to stop. I wish they didn’t and just made a 4 hour movie but if they have to stop, then stop there.
I think they’ll stop it after Renesmee is delivered and Edward plunges the syringe into her now dead heart, but before we know whether it was in time to save/change her. BD-2 will start with Bella opening her vampire red eyes! I’m usually wrong in these things, but that’s what I think.

I think all these actors will give all the original cast a lot of reasons to go out and party after the work day!

I think these are great choices. I have a feeling that they’re not having any problems getting whomever they want this time – doncha think there a whole bunch of actors who would love to cash in on the last two Twilight Saga movies??!!? LOL
I think they are great but I would switch the roles of Tanya and Irina to make my mental picture perfect

That is how I pictured all of them. Except Eleazar. It was kinda how I pictured him but not really.
I am really excited about this…but I will say I didn’t see MyAnna as Tanya…but I am sure it will all work out in the movie!
Yeah, I imagined Eleazar with darker skin and more Spanish-looking, but Tanya, Kate, and Irina look like how I pictured them, of course, with the correct hair and skin and the contacts. Carmen’s okay….
I imagined Eleazar and Carmen as being older but I am sure it will be great.

I’m with Debra I always had Eleazar as someone a bit older than that…I like all the other ones they cast though.
Glad to see I’m not the only one who pictued Eleazar as older. But for me the rest are fine. I like how I don’t know who any of them are (just like with TW.) The projects they’ve been in they listed I have’t seen them.

I too pictured Carmen and Eleazar as older. So we’re all on the same wave length. Obviously not the one Summit’s on.
I agree with Amanda and Julissa I`m not sure if the casting choice is right for Tanya – not what I picutred but then when shes all make-up uped she maybe better
im really happy with Eleazar’s casting as well as Carmen’s but not with kate and especially Tanya, the lady who is playing kate looks like she had lip injections and it bothers me while the one who is playing Tanya looks pixie like and awkward
Exactly!!!!! I agree. I think who they have as Tanya is wrong, she wasn’t a small diminutive blond.
right??? I mean I pictured someone going after Edward to appear more “classic”. To me Maggie is way more classic than MyAnna… MyAnna has harder angles, someone bitter, someone like Irina =)

I am happy with this! Every time we get another casting I get more excited for this movie. I reallly like the pick for Eleazar. But in my mind Tanya looks more like the girl they picked for Kate and the girl for Kate is who I pictured for Tonya
I like it anyway. I am excited to see who they pick for the Amazon coven, especially Zafrina. And even more curious as to who Garrett will be.
People had the same concerns when they cast Robert as Edward. I don’t know a thing about casting, but I do know that it’s probably best to wait & see the actors in character before saying they were a “good” or “bad” choice. I’m just excited that filming for BD will be starting soon
