Silly Bella put together everything we currently know about the werewolf genealogy into graphic form.  Tainted Tea did the artwork for us.  It was originally base don the artwork found on the BIA.edu site, however the artwork is no longer there.  Please do not upload these items to your website without the express permission of Tainted Tea or Silly Bella.  You need Adobe Reader to view the charts.

January 1st is the hubby’s birthday.  Yes, Darksied is a New Year’s baby!  Anyway, seeing as how it’s becasue of him that I know what little I know about the internet… and without him our site would be DEAD from the amount of traffic and hits we got over the casting info, I thought you might like to put a birthday banner in your siggie for the day.  Many thanks to Cornie who whipped these up in no time at all!

So today is the lovely Pel’s birthday.  We thought it would be a great idea to have a thread to wish Pel a happy birhtday as well as create a list of Pel-isms.  So stop by the message boards and wish Pel a happy birhtday and tell us what you think her wittiest sayings are.

Happy Holidays everyone!!!!

Stephenie posted a new blog message over at her MySpace page.  She has finished the rough draft of Breaking Dawn!  YEAH!  AND THE CROWD GOES WILD!!  This doesn’t mean that the book is finished, though.  It means that the ROUGH draft is finished.  For those of you that write fan fiction, it means that the beta readers haven’t even looked at it yet… and we’re not talking about ten pages of a fan fic!  We’re talking about 775 pages of a novel that needs to be edited.  So PLEASE don’t start pestering her about having the book come out early since it is "done."  She reminded us that it took her about a year and a half to two years from rough draft of Twilight to getting the book on the store shelves.  But she says not to panic!  She and Little Brown will do everything they can to get the book out by the fall of 2008. 

She also gives us some really great statistics to compare all the books.  Twilight was 475 pages on the computer and 498 pages in book form.  New Moon was 528 pages on the computer and 564 pages in book form.  Eclispe was 611 pages on the computer and 629 in book form.  And, as I already said, Breaking Dawn currently checks in at 775 pages on the computer!!!  This is before editing, though, so that number will probably change.  Still, she guestimates that the book will be around 800 pages.  WOO HOO!!!  WAY TO GO STEPHENIE!!! 

If that’s not a great Christmas gift to us fans, I don’t know what is!

Pel has been having some major computer problems.  We tried podcasting twice this week and both times her computer freaked out on her.  On top of that, she is going out of town… out of the country really… for the holiday and won’t be back for about a week or so.  Why should you care?  Well, if you generally go to Pel with e-mails or PMs when  you have a problem or an issue with the site, she will not be responding to you until the new year.  If you do need to talk to someone, PM me or one of the other mods for help.  Or you can e-mail me at the lexicon address.  I will respond to a PM much faster though, so try that first!  That being said, the majority of the lexicon staff celebrates Christmas and can’t be expected to be on line in huge amounts on Dec. 25.  Personally, I won’t be answering any PMs on Christmas Day.  Keep that in mind as you post over the holidays and don’t get too frustrated if it takes us a day or so to get back to you.

Here’s an article talking about the success of the Twilight Saga.

So, we are now running the Lexicon on two servers: the main page on one and the message boards on another. This is server upgrade 5 & 6 in case anyone is keeping track.  When the Robert Pattinson news broke, we we’re having some unrelated problems anyway. Things went from bad to worse with the volume. To paraphrase our server company, "Do you people realize you’ve had over 300,000 hits in the last half hour? What the heck kind of site are you people running?"  So we are now back alive and running.

We’ve made some repairs, such as the Forkscasts being back up. If anything seems amiss let us know we may have missed something. Kudos to Darkseid for dealing with all of this. Without him, we wouldn’t be running right now.
