I just wanted to make sure that everyone was aware that the Special Edition for Eclipse was all ready on pre-order.  The book will include two t-shirt transfers as well as the first chapter of Breaking Dawn.  I believe it will also include a full color print of the cover of Breaking Dawn.  It will be available on May 31st.  You can pre-order the book at the Lexicon’s Amazon Shop.

Stephenie Meyer updated her site with photos from the set of Twilight the movie.  Rumors were going around that she had lunch with the cast and this seems to confirm that.  She has a very humorous post about the time she spent with the "people out of (her) imagination".

Also, the additional cast list was confirmed by Variety.  Check it out.

Christian Serratos confirmed on her MySpace page that she will be playing Angela Webber. (Edited: A big "Hi" to  Christian who mentioned that she visited our site.)

BloodyDisgusting.com is reporting another seven names added to the ever growing cast list for Twilight the movie.  Billy Burke, Taylor Lautner, Christian Serratos(EDIT CONFIRMED AS ANGELA), Edi Gathegl, Rachel Lefevre, Sarah Clark and Gregory Tyree Boyce have joined the cast.  At this time we are uncertain of who is playing who, and I think we have all learned that speculation only leads to problem.  Once we know the characters they will play, we will let you know.

In an attempt to make shopping a little less stressful on everyone, we have set up a store through Amazon.com where you can find all of Stephenie Meyer’s books as well a whole list of other items.  We have music from her playlists, other movies from the actors currently cast in the Twilight film, books that you could read while you wait for Breaking Dawn or The Host to be published, and lots of other fun things for you to choose from.  If the Easter Bunny still visits your house, maybe you could drop a hint and make a wish list for him to shop from.  This is very new and we are still learning our way around.  I’m sure there are lots of products we ahve over looked, but if you have a suggestion for something we missed, e-mail us or leave a comment and let us know what you think we should add.

Emily Osment of Hannah Montana fame was on The View. She was asked by Elisabeth Hasselbeck if she could recommend any good books and she mentioned Twilight by Stephenie Meyer.  Whoopie Goldberg chimed in to say that she was reading New Moon and loved them.  Who knows, maybe we can get the rest of The View team to read the books and then Stephenie might end up on The View.

Stephenie Meyer’s website has updated today with the official press release about the Cullen family including photos! I must say that they really do look good and it makes me even more excited about the book being made into a film than ever. Check it out! Speculation anyone?

Lexiconer Caspiana was at an extra’s casting call the other day.

There was a line around the block with an intense amount of fan girls and a few boys, many were reading the books in line. Once we all got a number we went into this huge room and they called us in groups of about 20. Being 742, I was there for a VERY long time. Still fun all the same. Around about 3 a guy named Danny came in to give us the low down and let us ask a few questions. They are in desperate need of a 1992 silverado truck and were asking for it. Might be Bella’s truck I don’t know, but Bella’s was much older, but that is a mighty specific truck to be looking for.

Some of the scenes are to be shot in a warehouse in Clackamas, that has no windows or anything to sneek anyone on set (drat). They also were hinting that most of the extras were to be used in as high school students (Shocking.) They already cast all the vampires (cause one little girl asked about being a vampire…which we know none exist in the movie….). and said that filming begins on the 27th or 28th and goes on for about 7 weeks. They said before that they wanted older crappy cars which, thank goodness, I have. But they said that newer cars would be needed for the prom scene? They needed a lot of extras and people can still apply online, but the hoard of people who showed up today would get priority.

I’ll let you know if I get any more info and if I get the call ^.^

I think the easiest way to explain where things have moved is a Q&A. Feel free to post this verbatim anywhere anyone wants.

Q: Where will my front page daily news from the Twilight Lexicon staff be found?

A: As some of you have noticed, we have a slightly different URL www.twilightlexicon.com. The daily news, characters bios, personal correspondence, etc. Will now be found at this URL.

Some links are not working within things like character bios and mythology etc. Don’t worry, all the old information is here, it just has to be renamed. Right now certain links point back to the former URL. This is what the admins will be doing over the next month or so.

Until we relink everything back up, if you are really dying to find a specific post use the search function that we added and it should(in theory) find the file. Alternatively, you’ll notice the archive feature that has been added. If you know the approximate date that information was originally added, you can find the item by looking through that month’s archives. All-in-all the site is mostly functional.

Q: Where will the forums be for book and movie discussion?

A: At the moment they are found at www.twilightlexicon.com/Message_Boards/, but in a few days they will move to www.twilightlexiconforum.com

Q: So what happened to just plain old www.twilightlexicon.com?

A: Good question. The ownership of that name currently belongs to our former tech person. We are waiting for him to give/sell us the name that we have been using for over two years. Our plans are to turn it into a nice looking welcome page with links to take you to the newsblog, forums, store, chat, wherever.

We can now confirm, what most fans had speculated correctly, and that is Kellen Lutz is slated to play Emmett Cullen. Also, apparently, Henry Cavill according to the Henry Cavill Fan site was offered the part of Carlilse and was not interested in the project.to read the script, but due to his work on The Tudors he was unable to consider it. We’d again like to thank everyone for their patience as we have had a a lot to iron out on the tech end on probably our busiest news two weeks ever. You guys have been really supportive.
