Twilight Fan Entertainment

A couple of Twilight Fans have started a new project. Imagine what Twilight would be like if it was told via Facebook.

Lexiconer Julia needs your help with a project for her university. The Best part is we get to play the game when it’s all done.

My Twilight saga riddle project will basically function like the weffriddles (www.weffriddles.com) by Weff Jebster and any of the like. Some of them are quite easy and others take several mental breakdowns although the answer always seems quite obvious after solving. I need as many questions for my project as possible. They can be easy as "Which class do Bella and Edward share?" or as difficult as you like. The only conditions are that everyone would be able to find the information somehow and that the answer is not longer than a few words. So think of a question (or as many as you can come up with), provide the answer and where to find it (can either be a website, a chapter in the books or anything publicly accessible), an indication about the degree of difficulty, and send those to me at [email protected] with the subject being "Twilight riddle".

What’s Your Favorite Twilight Saga Band

We have a little poll going based on the most popular groups. It also leads us into something else (see below).

EDITED: We’ll get the poll back up as soon as MicroPoll fixes a tech glitch on their end.

Many people keep asking
Us if there is anything
Special that any fans can
Expect from bands that have
Influenced the Twilight Saga. Well,
Now, we agree that for the
Fans there should be more
Opportunities! So,
For what it’s
Really worth we
Imagine that
Devoted Twilighters will
Absolutely
Yearn to read the Lexicon later this week.

Read between the lines folks! 🙂

WHAT TO WEAR TO SSIF

Rain is expected during SSIF.  Although most activities will be held inside the high school, attendees may need to walk between buildings.  So, wear whatever you feel comfortable with, knowing there may be rain.  If you’d like to wear a costume related to the novels, feel free to do so as long as it is appropriately PG-13.  It gets cold at La Push, so you might want to bring a jacket for the field trip.

Fans In the News

So when did you become obsessive about Twilight? How many times have you traveled for it? How far have you traveled? Chances are Libby beat you.

What Can We Do?

Our inbox is just about shutting down for all other business due to the large number of emails that we are getting regarding various aspects (Taylor, Catherine, Melissa, budget, etc.) of New Moon.  We have people emailing in support of and not in support of those people in roughly equal numbers. It’s at the point where we are having trouble finding emails about anything else.

The one common factor in each email is people asking, "What can we do to let Summit know our feelings?" The answer is relatively simple; write an original letter. Internet petitions don’t work, form letters don’t work. Be original, be concise, we would also suggest be polite, and give Summit your opinion at the below address (which is a matter of public record found on their website), because writing to us doesn’t help you.

Atten: Twilight Saga Concerns

EDITED:

Just reiterating that the Lexicon is not taking "a side" in any of this. We are merely responding to people who wanted to know how they could legally contact Summit and express their opinion, whatever that opinion happened to be . From what we’ve seen that opinion is divided roughly equally as far posts on our blog, forum, and email goes.

About the only two things we have seen fans unite on is:

1.  The want the story to stay reasonably true to the original book with the understanding that things need to get cut/changed when going to film.

2.  They want enough money spent so the werewolves don’t look like rabid Gund plushies

Movie News

Late Breaking Article from EW confirming what had been rumored by various sources earlier, that an offer has gone out to Chris Weitz of The Golden Compass and Oscar Nominee for About a Boy fame. There is no info on whether that offer has been accepted. Also under discussion is how Taylor Lautner can fit in given the state of graphic technology seen in such movies like Benjamin Button where Brad Pitt ages and then youthens before our eyes.

Do you live down under?  If so, you can enter to win Edward’s Volvo.

Looks like Rob has a bit of a Mr. Darcy complex according to this interview stating, "But I like it when they hate me right from the beginning."

Movie News

Catherine Hardwicke is slated to make an appearance on the Travis Smiley show next week on Wednesday.  TY to Diana for the heads up. We’re looking forward to hearing info direct from the horse’s mouth rather than the speculation that abounds. And yes, we’ve seen various other articles, unless someone is "on the record" it’s all speculation.
