We can now confirm, what most fans had speculated correctly, and that is Kellen Lutz is slated to play Emmett Cullen. Also, apparently, Henry Cavill according to the Henry Cavill Fan site was offered the part of Carlilse and was not interested in the project.to read the script, but due to his work on The Tudors he was unable to consider it. We’d again like to thank everyone for their patience as we have had a a lot to iron out on the tech end on probably our busiest news two weeks ever. You guys have been really supportive. The blog is back, Some links are not working within things like character bios and mythology etc. Don’t worry, all the old information is here, it just has to be renamed. Right now certain links point back to the former URL. Pel tells me this is what the admins will be doing over the next month or so.

Until we relink everything back up, if you are really dying to find a specific post use the search function that we added and it should(in theory) find the file. Alternatively, you’ll notice the archive feature that has been added. If you know the approximate date that information was originally added, you can find the item by looking through that month’s archives. All-in-all the site is mostly functional.

Let us know of any broken links you see. By posting in the comments on this thread in case we miss one as we are working

Don’t panic it will be back. I know you currently can’t see the personal correspondence and several other items. We are working on it.  Various times may be going up and down over the next few days.

Also Seth, Stephenie’s Webmaster, posted information about open casting calls for extras.  Thanks to Sara for the heads up.

I have confirmation on a variety of other cast members from a reliable source. I know there are a million rumors circulating out there about other parts, but since I have no credible confirmation, I am not posting other names at this time.

Again, keeping out site policy in mind, you don’t have to like a particular actor.  However, if you are going to critique this actor on this website, it has to do with their performing abilities and not the fact that they have "The wrong color hair, eyes, a tan, are short…" or any other number of superficial things make-up, lighting, and a good camera angle can solve.

Right now we are experiencing trouble transferring the data from our forums. Basically they are so huge every time we try to download the table specific to posts our connection times out. 

Here’s the deal. We are trying to avoid this, but if push comes to shove, we are going to have to delete the following forums (we would open them anew starting from scratch once we move the site):

Thanks to the multiple people who brought this up (Sorry we can’t post issue scans, or we’d be in copyright violation.). There is a small blurb about Stephenie, the Twilight Saga, and The Host in USA Today Weekend.

Also just to recap the casting news of the week this is what we know so far(Again this doesn’t mean that the other parts aren’t cast, just we haven;t had that info released from an official source yet.):

1. Filming begins this week in a variety of locations from Arizona to the Pacific Northwest.
2. We know who is playing the following roles because either Summit or the actors’ management companies have released this information:

Bella:         Kristen Stewart
Edward:     Robert Pattinson
Eric:          Justin Chon
Jessica:    Anna Kendrick
James:    Cam Gigandet

We also added a search feature to the top of the site, hopefully it works. It’s our first time trying somethng like this.

We have just reopened the message boards. We may have to close later in the week, but we’ll try to give you notice.  We continue to have trouble with registering gmail users. Gmail users are recommended to get a different email to use in the registration process.

Right now Stephenie Meyer’s site is reporting that they have a new server (Welcome to the upgrade your server club, Seth. We understand your pain!) because, "So, hypothetically speaking, if we were to announce several of the actors that are part of the cast of Twilight the movie in the next few days, there shouldn’t be any problems with getting on the site and viewing their official photos."  Now I don’t know about the rest of you, but that sounds like a "So be sure to check the RSS feed" to me!

Also, on the Breaking Dawn press release page (thanks to multiple people who pointed this out) they are referring to December 12, 2008 (yes we know that is 10 months after filming begins and yes it seems like a really short turn around time to us too) as the release date of the film.  This has also been up on the IMDB for awhile. Before anyone plans a a movie get together give it a couple of months. Past experience in with the Harry Potter movies has proven that sometimes for various PR reasons they change release dates by a week or two.  Usually things stabilize around four to five months ahead of time, but studios can decide to change dates for any number of reasons.

Lastly since there seem to be two major questions of the hour (at least it’s what is taking over our inbox), here is my two cents:

Question: Are you guys worried that they are adding other characters?

Answer: "No one knows the names of the other guys on the police force but obviously they exist. I’m sure there are even more than 10 named students attending Forks HS, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the town gas station attendant where Bella gases her truck has a name.

Movies are a visual medium. They need to add/delete characters for Bella to talk to to advance the plot. The whole movie can’t be a voice over happening in Bella’s head.

The added characters (so far a waitress and a guy on the force) seem to be minor roles that will advance the plot."

Question: "What about them changing the name of the Bio teacher, or changing the ethnicity of Bella’s classmates? Isn’t this going to ruin the movie?"

As promised, we were given the release date of Breaking Dawn.  AUGUST 2, 2008 So, now is the time to approach your local booksellers about them doing a midnight release party.

We also will be designing a special limited edition Lexiconer shirt (just like we did with E-prom) so that Lexiconers can find each other at release events.

EDITED: I forgot to add that a portion of a chapter (note they didn’t say which) will be posted on Stephenie’s site in May.
