Movie Title Art

Shock ’till you drop has been granted a sneak peek at the film title art.  If you make a comment mention you got the link from the Lexicon!

*Please note that these are sketches, the lines you see are drafting lines.

Poll from Cinematical and rumor squash

The folks at Cinematical, who yesterday gave us a behind the scenes peek story, have come up with a "Which character are you most like?" poll.  Mention you saw it on the Lexicon if you make a comment!

While we are at it, we just wanted to lay to rest a couple of rumors that are circulating in our inbox and around the Internet.

    a. The beach scenes have not been cut from the movie, they will still take place, just not shot as previously planned for at La Push.
    b. There was an honest error in the ET report, Rosalie is known as Rosalie Hale in the movie not Rosalie Cullen.
    c. Twilight is not intended as an R-rated movie, all "movie posters" out there are currently done by some talented photoshoppers, none are the real thing.

Cafepress Revamped (if you’ll pardon the pun)

The incredibly talented Ambereyes has come up with a bunch of new fun designs for the Lexicon’s Cafepress Store.  Proceeds from the store help to keep us up and running.

Here are just a few of the great, new, graphics available on everything from tee shirts to mugs. This newest batch is inspired by the upcoming The Host. It’s a great way for Lexiconers to find each other at signing events. Last year during E-prom similar shirts helped people to find each other.  The Twilight Lexicon Signing Tee will make a great souvenir for your signing adventure, have fellow Lexiconers sign your shirt!

Order now to ensure delivery before Stephenie’s next signing!

Upcoming gigs for the Mitch Hansen Band

The Mitch Hansen Band, based in the Atlanta area,  has a bunch of upcoming performances.  The band has some great music inspired by Stephenie’s novels.

You can check out the band’s MySpace here. It gives a full listing of the band’s upcoming appearances including a recent addition at 37 Main in Buford, GA (which is a FREE SHOW!)

Maybe even a few enterprising fans could suggest the band as a midnight release act to area booksellers.

Don’t forget to chime in with your opinion

Seventeen Magazine is doing a set visit and wants your questions for Rob and Kristen.

Don’t forget to vote for Stephenie in the Time influential news makers.

And last but not least, vote for Kristen as an actress destined to be the "next Jodi Foster"

Direct from TMF site, "I want to thank you and the whole Lexicon team for the post concerning the top 50 hottest young actors. Being the leading Twilight news and resource site, more people were given the chance to read our post, thus making it one of the most commented and popular articles at tMF."

So let’s get the Lexicon vote out the on those above polls! Make yourselves heard!

Interview With Lana Veenker

Have you ever wondered just how a movie cast? What is the process? What types of decisions are made and why?  Well, wonder no more! Lana Veenker, one of the principal casting directors for the Twilight movie, explains a lot of what goes into the casting a film, and in particular, Twilight.

Highlights include:

"But actors reading for small day player parts also need to understand that it isn’t a movie about Waiter #3. If the character’s only line is "Would you like some more coffee?", the
actor should just say the line, simply and believably."

"Besides possessing the right look, charisma and acting chops, the actor needed to be someone who could grow into the character that Jacob becomes in the sequels."

"But we also saw some adorable little girl actresses for the role of Young Bella (seen in the ballet studio scenes) and some pretty mean Frat Boys (who threaten Bella in Port Angeles)."

We want to thank Lana for taking the time to explain things to us. We’d also like to thank Cocoa for acting as our interviewer.

Stephenie’s Offical Website is updated, and filming update

StephenieMeyer.com updated their movie section today, revealing the names of some of the minor characters like Phil, Mr. Molina (biology teacher), and various Forks townspeople.

In addition, in anticipation of the Host release, the site has a new look featuring photography by Stephenie’s husband, Pancho.

*Also, there has been some speculation on the Internet that the beach scene would be cut from the Twilight movie because the production company canceled it’s reservations in the Forks area. Have no fear, according to our contact at Summit, the scene has not been cut, just due to time and logistics a few things had to be rearranged.
