This in from the staff at the Bonnie Hunt show:

"Talk show host Bonnie Hunt announced today on her talk show the start of her website auction, “Bonnie’s Basement,” which allows her viewers to bid on one-of-a-kind celebrity items on bonniehunt.com.  The profits from the auction will benefit the Robert H. After raising over $100,000 for the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month, Bonnie continues the fundraising efforts by holding an auction of celebrity items on her talk show’s website, bonniehunt.com.  Throughout the month of November and December, Bonnie asked her celebrity guests to bring a meaningful item for the auction.

Some of the items available for bidding include:

Ring that Peter Facinelli’s character, Dr. Carlisle Cullen, wore during the filming of the blockbuster, “Twilight,” as well as a box set of the books signed by members of the cast.

The auction concludes on Sunday, December 14th.

The Cast in Germany

Here’s an on site report from Lexiconer Saskia

It was amazing! Such a cool experience. But first things first.

At about 5am I drove to Munich with a friend. It’s about 2 hours from my hometown, so not far away. The streets were icy and I had to drive very slowly. So we arrived at the cinema, where the event should take place, a little bit later than we planned. When we came in there we were like … WHAT? So many people? We didn’t expect so many people since Twilight isn’t that big in Germany… unfortunately.

Anyways, we stood and waited till they would let us in, so that we could run to the red carpet and find a good place to wait till the cast came. We couldn’t really find one and we started to talk with two other girls who were standing in the front row and we asked them if we could come to the front row when the cast (and of course Catherine) arrived. The one girls answered, that we could have her space since she wasn’t a Twilight fan and only here because of her cousin. So my friend and I were standing in FRONT ROW!!!

While waiting two hours that the cast would arrive the people from the cinema gave some tickets away for a screening of some scenes of the movie. My friend and I were soooooo lucky to get two tickets! Now we stood in the front row AND we were able to see the scenes! (I have already seen the movie, but there were some rumors that the cast would say something about the movie etc. in the cinema so we were really happy to have 2 tickets.)

Then the waiting continued. The press was there took tons of pictures of the waiting fans while we were freezing and hoping that Rob, Kristen and Catherine would come soon. Some girls at the entrance started screaming every time a car would pass by and the press would always run to the entrance. It was quite funny.

Then FINALLY the moment arrived and the cast appeared. The screaming was unbelievably loud. They took the time to give autographs (I’ve got one from all of them!!) and they were so nice. I talked to Catherine or a short moment. About the movie, and that I liked it. She was so nice and told me that she was happy I liked it. And I told her that she did an amazing job. She was so cool. And she looked beautiful! Her dress amazing! Then Kristen came and I got her autograph. When I thanked her she said that it was no problem, and that there was no reason to thank me. She was nice, although I think, that all these events are a little bit too much for her. After all she is only 18. So my age… and I think something like that would also be too much for me. Of course Rob came too and the screaming next to me got louder. He came and I told him that he was an amazing actor and that he did a great job. He smiled and laughed and said: "Thank you so much. It’s always nice to hear that." Then he smiled again and continued giving autographs. He is really handsome! He looks better then on all the pictures on the internet. At least that’s what I think 😉

After that everyone with a ticket to the cinema got into the cinema to see the screening. After everyone was sitting the cast appeared again! They were asked some questions (by a man who could barely speak English… so embarrassing!) and got some gifts. Rob was funny as always. When he was asked a question and everyone started screaming again he said: "Don’t mind… I was not going to say something important" and laughed again.

Then we some the scene were Edward introduces Bella to his family. The long trailer in German (which sucked :D), the ballet scene and some behind the scene stuff which I hadn’t seen yet.

I can say that I had an amazing day! Rob, Kristen and Catherine were as nice as I thought they would be. It was a great experience and I am now owner of a copy of Twilight with the autographs of the three of them. I am so happy =)

Well search no more. There’s an entire community on LiveJournal devoted to Twilight crafts. You can find out how to make everything from teez, to blankets, to…well…pretty much anything. They also have a crafting challenge going on, so check them out.

Twilight Crafts Challenge: Do I Dazzle You?

Don’t Get Ripped Off This Christmas

We just received the following from Brian of Twilight Teez, the only company authorized to sell official Stephenie Meyer jewelry.

“I find it absolutely necessary to bring to light something that has recently come to our attention regarding eBay auctions for Bella’s Engagement Ring.  We expected that folks would want to sell their Bella’s Engagement Rings on eBay, and that’s just fine and fair with us.  However, we feel a certain obligation to our customers to make you aware that there are listings which are trying to take advantage of fans of the Twilight series by including erroneous information and pushing their selling prices to outlandish and unfair levels.  These listings are going so far as to state that even our Fashion Edition rings are no longer available for sale from us, and list prices three to five times higher than you can buy from us directly.

These listings are NOT for Signature Edition rings, which are in fact no longer available.  These listings are for the standard edition rings which are available from our web site for $59.00.  Auctions such as this one are offering these rings at unfair and unprecedented prices.

We would also like to remind you that any ring purchased from eBay or any other third party, and not directly through Twilight Teez will not have the warranty for the item honored.  Warranties on our rings are extended ONLY to the original buyer of the ring from our store.

You may have questions if a certain ring available on eBay is authentic.  While we will not be able to verify the seller for you, we can verify if the ring was purchased originally through us and if the ring is authentic as described in the auction.  However, ultimately we are not responsible for eBay auctions and it is up to you, should you decide to buy a ring from an eBay auction, to work out any issues you may have with the seller.

-Brian”
Thanks!

So What’s All The Screaming About?

TWILIGHT NEWS Twilight News UK caught up with Rob Pattinson on the black carpet (they don’t do red in the UK) and asked him, ‘When you walk into a room now, do you feel out of place now if no one screams at you?’

He laughed and said, ‘It’s really weird.  You run a website, can you ask the readers this question? Did people scream while reading the books?  I want to know!’

So Rob asked, let him know.

Cast News

The LA Times asks what is it that appeals about Rob and sends females squealing? They then list Rob with a rather strange array of "breakout stars" of 2008 in what are possibly (except for Katy) the most unflattering pictures ever.

IF IF Magazine takes a look at Rob in How to Be.

FILM Gecko Edi Gathegi will be in the remake of the horror classic My Bloody Valentine to be released on January 16th. You can check out the details and the trailer here.

Variety talks about how women directors like Catherine hardwicke are challenging "the good ole boy network" in Hollywood.  Catherine also talks to an Australian newspaper about why a certain scene in Twilight is difficult for her to watch.

BBC Talks with Kristen and Catherine and is quite possibly the only media outlet to comprehend that Harry Potter and Twilight are not related or a competition.

Kristen made Teen Vogue’s Top Ten Best Dressed List for the month of November.

Movie News

It looks like if you are going to eventually want to watch Twilight on TV you better get Showtime, at least for its initial release to the networks. So if you don’t have Showtime, you might want to see it in the theater again, or entice someone to go with you by giving them a Fandango Twilight gift card.

Australia is prepping for the movie’s release.

Jackson Rathbone talks with MTV about his upcoming project. MTV also speculates on Twilight as a comic.
