  1. Angela Edwards says:

My absolute favorite thing about the Lex, are your typed interviews/conversations with Stephenie Meyers! Every single one is full of information you couldn’t get anywhere else!! Love that she took the time to answer so many questions in depth! Thanks for that!

  2. My very favorite memory of the Lexicon? That would have to be the Edward/Bella Wedding Party on the forums in the summer of 2008. I really enjoyed seeing all of the gifts that everyone made for the couple (some were sweet, some very, very naughty) and I loved talking to other fans who were just as excited as I was. The best part was when some of the “Cullens” showed up and talked to everyone in the party. The fact that all of you who work on the Lexicon took so much time to do something like for us fans really said a lot about how dedicated you are. That was my very favorite memory of the fandom (not just the Lexicon).

  3. Julie Dunay says:

I did not know about the “Lion and Lamb” fan fiction. I was intrigued because the first fan fiction story I wrote was from Edward’s point of view. I started reading the story and found the characters authentic and the story well written.

  4. The video of your kidnapping and being locked in the closet to bring you to your senses regarding your Twilight Devotion.

The scene that made me laugh out loud was the Mr. Darcy debate and the families realizing how deep your fandom goes. (And tossing out all things Jane Austen too!)

  5. The owner says:

I love the interviews with Steph Meyers. I have learned so many fun facts from them

  6. Mary Masen says:

What I loved when reading the fandom flashback was how close you became with Stephenie Meyer. We owe so much to her and the fact that not only you got to see her many times at signings etc, but also work closely with her to build this fansite is absolutely amazing. :)

  7. Corey P. says:

  13. Wow, coming into the fandom as a 40 year old wife & Mom, and only at the prompting of a complete stranger in line at Toys R Us in 2009. I have to say Thank you Jen for introducing me to an amazing world where vampires and werewolf can be the good guys, families are strong & bound together through all adversities , where virtue is honored, and I can be young and in love again…. Thank you to the Twilight Lexicon, for keeping me updated on all things new & for keeping me educated about all things past. I have devoured every word on your site I can find. I’m a better fan for it & thank you for making it an easy & welcoming place to be.

  32. It was great to read about your interaction with Stephenie right at the beginning. How cool! It must’ve felt unbelievable! Can’t imagine!
And I was interested to find out about your previous interests! Star Wars, LOTR and HP! Me too! HP and Twilight have been the most inspiring reading for me.
And still even last year some fans were making it a competition between the last HP and BD1 like they rule each other out…
Congrats on your b-day! Think it’s amazing your so passionate and take the time to share it with the rest of us!

  33. Elizabeth (EverythingRemindsMeOfTwilight) says:

I thought it was ironic…no, very funny…that Laura was a “resource going underused.” The way you’re both so involved now and how much you’ve done, it’s hard to think that there was a time that it was more Lori than Laura. :-)

Oh, and my mom, aunt, cousin, and I put in our order from Cafe Press last night. :D

  34. alesha ihde says:

My favorite part was the interviews with Stephenie Meyer. She is such an amazing person! I also love knowing what the cast is up to!

  35. It was neat to hear how you all started the Lexicon. I was not interested in reading the books, although my niece was totally immersed in Twilight. When the first movie hit DVD, I decided to watch it one night on pay-per-view after my boys were asleep, and I was hooked. I headed out to Target the next morning and bought the book, and was back the next day to buy the rest of them. I didn’t come up for air for a couple of days and all-nighters, and now I am such a fan that my husband and sons just roll their eyes. I have reread the series many times, and keep up-to-date on all things Twilight by clicking over to the Lexicon every morning. I appreciate all that you do to keep the fandom informed without resorting to being tabloid-y. Keep up the good work!
    :)

  38. I didn’t realize Laura was a Lord of the Rings fan.

  39. The first thing I did after I 1st read Twilight back in ’08, was search for anything related to it on the interweb!, obviously one of my finds was the Twilight Lexicon. And one of my favorite things about it, that made it one of my favorite sources to find any News Twilight related, was the consistency of the updates and how you only post official news, or debunking rumors; also I love the depth and lengths you go to get to the Sets, Red Carpets and other TwiEvents and get the most awesome interviews with the stars & Steph!

Thank you for your hard work in supporting the fandom! <3

  40. I hadn’t known before how you were able to get the interviews with Stephenie Meyer–I’ve read all of them, but it was nice to get some detailed background on how they came to be.

  41. Wendy bogers says:

Love the stephenie interviews! Great info there.

  42. WOW. I am totally floored at reading this! As someone who enjoys writing, and devours books…. I was most excited at how you were able to take a chance, and succeed. You hear so much discouragement, when writing or editing or anything related to the literary world is your dream, that it’s really nice to hear…. I didn’t think anything would come of it but I went for it and it paid off big time. I’m unbelievably envious that you got to correspond with Stephanie before she “hit it big”. I was also shocked to see that you were not initially drawn to twilight, because most of the moms I have communicated with claim to have always loved it. I had never heard of it until the movies came out. My daughter and I saw the ad for the movie coming out on DVD and we thought it would be cool. So I bought the movie for us, and the book was beside the DVD’s. When I saw how thick the book was, I thought, this is going to be like the Harry Potter movies, in that there will be a lot more in the book than what I’m going to get out of the movie. So I bought it. Then I devoured it in one night, and went around like some sort of junkie jonesing for a fix until I could find a bookstore that wasn’t sold out of New Moon! LOL I bought every one of the books that was available at the time…. and I continue to re-read them to this day. For me, reading the Twilight books allowed me to remember what those first innocent feelings of love were like, and to examine what parts of that magic I could bring back into my marriage. It wasn’t about comparing my husband with Edward…. it was about, communication…. and a connection that went beyond the five senses….it was about a love, that would outlast even time itself. My favorite part of the Twilight novel isn’t even in the movie at all. My favorite part is when Edward skips class because they are blood typing, and Bella practically passes out and Mike has to take her to the nurse….and of course, Edward intervenes. :)

  43. My favorite thing that I learned was about Stephenie commenting on “The Lion and the Lamb.” I’m green with envy over this. Twilight Lexicon has been my homepage for years now…I was an active participant in the discussion boards until the forums went down a few years ago in the summer…and grad school hit. I’ve only gotten to travel to one event, but the New Moon screening event in Franklin was amazing. It is one of my favorite Twilight memories. I’m so thankful that there is such a wonderful website run by wonderful people dedicated. Thank you for all that you do.

  44. Kimberly Finne says:

My favorite thing would be the letters and interviews from Stephenie with the Lex. I learned how close she was / is with the Lex and I think that is awesome!!!

  45. Garima Yadav says:

The best thing about Twilight Lexicon which I love and remember is its fab collection of Pics of Twilight movies-cast and all the interviews…its one place to find all answers anyone has regarding Twilight

  46. My favorite memory of the Lexicon was the day I accidentally stumbled upon the site while trying to keep track/ make sense of the relationships between the covens. I spent an entire weekend going through all of the thoughtful posts on the relationships and back-stories for the various members of the covens and Quileute family tree. My favorite aspect of the site is the treasure trove of Q&A and correspondences with Stephenie Meyer. I check the site or Lexicon Twitter feed daily for updates.

  47. T Murphy says:

The Lexicon is the best support group! I came late to the Twilight party, but when I found the Lex I felt welcomed and included. That’s the best thing the Lexicon does. It unites fans and the curious who all have something in common. I’m an avid reader and it’s rare to find a book with such a following, the only other I can recall is HP. So to have a forum, a site full of information and tidbits, helps to bring the pages to life over and over again. What better purpose could there be?

  48. The best thing about Twilight Lexicon is that its one place where the fans get all answers regarding Twilight…I luv the fab collection of the pics and interviews of the cast esp- Rob-KStew and Taylor and of course Stephanie :))
The Set visits …everything about Twilight Lexicon is great as its dedicated to my favourite book series-Twilight Saga

  49. My favorite part about Twilight Lexicon is learning about the Stephenie Meyer interviews and just visiting the website and seeing updates of all the Twilight news.

  50. My favorite memory is actually finding you. I didn’t start reading the books until 2008 and a friend told me about Stephenie’s site and Midnight Sun. While exploring her site and the interviews there, I found a link to your site. I love the interviews with Stephenie you have posted on the Lex. I loved the bios too.
