Stephenie Meyer’s blog has officially announced that Muse will have the first single from the THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE soundtrack with “Neutron Star Collison (Love is Forever)”
The first single on “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack” has just been confirmed and I get to bring you the exclusive details. Stephenie’s very favorite band, Muse, has contributed a song called “Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)” and it’s the first single from the project. It will be out on May 17th. I haven’t heard it yet, but I am very excited. The official soundtrack will also be available on June 8th. You can pre-order the Eclipse soundtrack here.

FINALLY! I think they deserved to have the first song on the Twilight Soundtrack. Decode was a great song, and I still love it, but I really like Supermassive Black Hole better. Saw this after a long day and I’m so fricken excited!

Yayayayayay! I was sooo hoping the rumor they were back on the soundtrack was true and now they’re on it AND the first single released!? Sweet, dying to hear what they’ve been recording. When there were talks of the song being cut I read the band thought the song really fit the Edward & Bella relationship well in this movie, so I’m very excited to hear it.
I think it’s awesome that MUSE is one of Stephenie’s favorite bands and a lot of their music inspired some of her writing. It’s pretty awesome to be inspired by a band and then have them participate in your project!
