Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart To Appear At BAFTA Awards

baftanomineesAs we reported a month ago, Kristen Stewart is nominated for a BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Awards) Rising Star Award. She is nominated alongside her Adventureland co-star Jesse Eisenberg, Nicholas Hoult, Carey Mulligan, and Tahar Rahim. Since their inception roughly five years ago, the winner has almost always been male and of British descent.  The notable exception is Shia LaBeouf who won two years ago. Last year’s winner was Noel Clarke, most well known for his role as Mickey in the Dr. Who series. Kristen’s toughest competition probably comes from Nicholas Hoult who launched his career in About a Boy with Hugh Grant and currently was on the popular series Skins. BAFTA rising star is a voted category by the British general public so it can be hard to predict what’s going to happen. Given there are several British nominess and the popularity of Twilight, perhaps the vote will be split and Kristen will pull through.

According to the BAFTA Twitter, Robert Pattinson is slated to be a presenter at the awards show, although what he is presenting is unclear.
