According to Stephenie’s website the director of Twilight recently visited Forks to scout locations for the film. There were articles written about the visit in the Forks Forum and the Peninsula Daily News.

The movie and Stephenie also appear on the Internet Movie Database. Those with the professional version of the site can see a bit more including a rumor that Emily Browning is up for the part of Bella. Keep in mind just a rumor, there are many instances of these rumors not being founded. A recent example would be that Ralph Fines and Eowan MCGreggor were to have played Sirius Black and Remus Lupin in the Prisoner of Azkaban. Info on the IMDB on any film, especially a film in the development stage, is highly subject to change.

We have no supporting evidence yet that there is a casting notice out yet from Summit Films, but we have heard rumor. We are trying to get details and we will report facts as soon as we have them. We don’t want to feed the rumor mill here. As soon as we have what we consider accurate, reliable information on casting and filming we will post it.

I just went through and either edited or deleted a whole bunch of comments. There is an entire forum for casting lists and discussions on the message boards. Please use it instead of this page.

According to her blog, Stephenie met Muse. There are pictures with her next to lead singer Matthew Bellamy.

For those of you who have not heard, Stephenie is a major Muse fan. Their music often appears on her playlists for the novels. In fact, they’ve even gotten into the novel. At a recent signing a fan asked, "What concert did Alice get Edward and Bella tickets to?"  Stephenie’s answer was, "Muse, of course!"

Hey everyone!

I’m so sorry it took me a week to get this post up, but it’s been a crazy week for me. But better late than never, right?

I couldn’t possibly miss a visit by Stephenie to my home state, so I drove 500 miles to attend the Coral Gables (I know. Crazy, right?). I had planned on being there by 2:00 or 2:30, but that didn’t happen. Instead, my mom, my little sister and I arrived at 3:15 to find the War Memorial already filled with anxious Twilight fans.

We managed to get very close to the doors to the gym (mainly because we didn’t know a line was forming out the side door and around the corner of the building) and we bought our books so we could get into the signing. While we were waiting for the even to actually start I wandered around taking pictures of the line and some cool t-shirts I saw. I even ran into a lexicon member, Cami1219 (she was part of the very first group I asked to take a picture of and she recognized me instantly! I just wish she had told me who she was, but you can see a picture of us here).

Once the doors opened (around 3:40) we began to file into the gym to wait for the Q&A. I took a few pictures of the quickly growing crowd before I noticed Stephenie’s publicist walk out of a side door and start striding through the crowd, looking around for something. I yelled across the room and she finally found me. So, if you noticed three people push through the line and walk into the double doors at the front of the room with a lady in a red shirt, that was me and my family. We got to talk to Stephenie and Elizabeth for about five minutes. She signed our books and I gave them the presents I’d brought for them. Poor things were absolutely exhausted! We gave them hugs and were ushered out a side door so that Stephenie could walk out into the crowd and begin the Q&A.

Stephenie opened the Q&A by answering the questions that she has gotten on almost every stop of her tour, just to save time and then she answered more questions. I couldn’t video her responses because I don’t have a camera that takes good video, but from what I could hear, there weren’t any new questions asked. If anyone has a transcript of her questions or a video of the event, PM me a link and I’ll add it to this post.

Once the Q&A was done (4:30 PM), she began signing books. I stayed at the front of the line on some bleachers and took pictures of cool shirts/costumes/dresses that caught my eye. If you were there and you don’t see yourself in the pictures I either didn’t see you or my battery was dying. I tried to get everyone, but I’m sure I missed a few. The actual signing of books took the rest of the evening. I’m positive that she signed almost 3,000 books that day; I didn’t see anyone with only ONE book in their hands and I would bet that there were close to 1,000 people there. As soon as the last book was signed, Stephenie was ushered out of the gym. We left soon after and such is the end of my tale.

There will be a segment on Stephenie and the Twilight Saga that airs this Saturday, September 22nd on the Today Show. Set your recording devices, as of now we have no firm time as to when the segment will air. Since the Today Show is a news and human interest show, if there is a major international story that breaks, the segment could get bumped.

Check your local NBC station for exact times, this will vary depending where you live. In the Eastern Time Zone, the show is advertised as airing from 7:00am-9:00am.

A crew from the Today show did some background filming at the Fairless Hills, PA signing. So, lookout to see if you or Lexiconer friends made it into the final cut.

Just as a reminder, the content that is up here at the Lexicon such as our graphics, timeline, mythology sections, and character bios took hours (not to mention money) to research, write, edit, and upload. Alpharetta, GA signing 9/14/07

Line cards were given out starting at 11:00a.m.  I arrived at the Barnes & Noble store around 11:30a.m.  At that time the line was wrapped around the side of the building, but moved very quickly.  I had been in contact with Dan Coffer, the Community Relations Manager in charge of running the event.  I went inside to find him and say Thank You for answering the many questions our members had about the signing.  He explained how they planned to run the event.  I left for lunch and came back to the store around 3:30p.m.  There was already a crowd there waiting around.  The store was putting together a scrapbook for Stephenie so I went to get my picture taken and then sign the scrapbook.  After that I started walking around the store taking a few pictures until it became very obvious that I needed to find a spot where I would be able to see.  Around 5:30 the store opened up the area where the Q&A would take place and I found that I had no choice but to move forward with the wave of humanity.  I ended up standing, pressed up against a speaker, at the edge of the group sitting on the floor.  I didn’t always hear the questions being asked, but I had no problems hearing the answers!

Stephenie came out promptly at 7:00 and began the Q&A.  Most of the questions were things most Lexiconers already know the answer to.  I filmed video of Stephenie’s answers to what I thought were the more interesting questions.

Video #3 – Didn’t hear the whole question – something about Edward being controlling and things that have been said on the internet.

Video #6 – A teacher asked, “What kind of student were you?”

After the Q&A the line was formed for the signing.  After getting my books signed and speaking to Stephenie briefly I started walking around taking pictures of original shirts and a few costumes.  We had Isabella Cullen dressed up as Bella in her prom dress and cast.  She even had a bandage on her hand from punching Jake and she was wearing a bracelet with a heart charm and carved wooden wolf.  There were a couple of people dressed up as Voluri – dracoangelica and iceprincess (sorry if I got this last name wrong, I met so many people it’s hard to keep the names straight) and someone dressed up as Alice.  I found one group I had spotted while waiting in the crowd.  They appeared to be a family, each with different sayings on their shirts.  I absolutely loved the youngest girl’s shirt which said, “Edward, forget older women.  Wait on me!”

When I left around 10:00 the line was still very long and several people were looking very tired.

As I mentioned the other day, I’d get up the pictures that Dizzy took for us. Dizzy was kind enough to go around a snap a bunch of pictures while I hung on to our space so we could hear the presentation.  There are also awesome pictures and video that people have taken are the other signings this week and the previous weeks. I went to the signing at the Barnes and Nobel at the Fairless Hills Mall. I recorded my adventure.

Here I am scoping out the line right after I arrived at 3:10. I missed getting a spot in the seating area by four people, darn that Trenton traffic!

Next I am videotaping the line after getting my wristband. Mercifully they snaked the line into the shade. I don’t know about anyone else, but I got a sunburn standing in the blazing sun for half an hour before they decided to move the line.that

Next, here’s a random shot of what the place looked like about an hour before Stephenie got there. I camped out on the edge of the balcony to tape. Fortunately  the very cool Dizzy  and hubby were there to keep my company. Dizzy took some great photos and we’ll put those up soon. I met a number of great Lexiconers, some who recognized me based on my voice.

And then of course we had the Q&A. You can here me groaning when someone asked the "period question".  I totally loved Stephenie’s response.  You can also hear me ask my question about the Volturi. I was going to ask a question about Carlisle, but it verged on speculation and what might happen in future books. So, I played it safe and asked a question that came up in our chat.
