Preview: Empire Magazine Interviews Robert Pattinson

Empire Magazine is slated to publish an interview with Robert Pattinson on Thursday. They are previewing a bit of it today.

“Pattinson also confirmed that, as far as he is concerned there will be no further Twilight outings following the two-part Breaking Dawn which finishes the current series. And he swears that he didn’t know what he was getting himself into with Stephenie Meyer’s massive vampire saga.

“I thought at the time, with Catherine Hardwicke and Kristen Stewart, it was going to be an indie movie. It seemed really interesting: a teen vampire movie that was going to be like Thirteen and really serious. I had no idea it was going to be this big thing you’d get on Burger King hats.”

  1. I love him. 🙂

  2. I have some of those hats! Love them too, werar them when we have our once a year Twi-movie night. lol I’m sure he’s very greatful…

  3. It’s okay Rob I don’t think anyone else knew it would blow up & be as huge as it now is.

  4. Well i don’t know if I will go see Water for Elephants now. I know its been a madhouse for you but we can just go on to someone else and forget able your movies, if that’s what you want????

    • What are you, twelve? Try living three years under similar scrutinity to what Rob has been through and then you’re allowed to say how he shouldn’t complain about the attention. Of course Rob wants us to see his movies, it’s all the additional baggage he doesn’t particularly appreciate. I mean, the Burger King crowns are ridiculous, I really wouldn’t want Twilight to be attached to a stupid fast food restaurant like that, it kind of eats away the credibility the franchise already lacks.

  5. No matter how big a phenomenon it has become, I think Pattison originally had it right about Twilight essentially being an indie movie. It’s a moody, personal film with arty stylings directed by a fan. That makes the first Twilight – and I like them all – distinct from the later ones.

I highly recommend this analysis and comparison of Twilight and Let The Right One In to all fellow Twilight fans. The author of the article is Stephen R. Bissette, Swamp Thing artist and one of the creators of the comics/movie character Constantine.
