According to ET, “Zac Posen designed both Portia de Rossi’s gown and her partner Ellen DeGeneres’ suit for their wedding. The designer is also reported to be making the wedding gown for the character of Bella Swan in the ‘Twilight’ films.”
You may know Zac Posen as one of the guest judges on America’s Next Top Model.
We have asked Summit for verification on the story, and are awaiting a response.

Truthfully, that sketch did concern me a little since it’s nothing like anything Bella would ever/should ever wear. Fortunately, I don’t think it’s the actual dress and hopefully since SM has the last word on it, it will be wonderful and perfect!
I agree with you. Hopefully if they choose him, that’s not what they end up with. From that same slideshow, this is the one I like best. I think this one is the best based on the description of the book, and it gives a little more modern touch.

wow i cant believe how far twilight has come..all these people,locations etc.. id rather they spend the money on a good script….but zac is a very talanted artist.i always love to watch his collections for fashion week…
Everyone needs to remember that the dresses submitted to InStyle Magazine were just preliminary sketches, not serious prospective costumes designs. If he was the actual designer chosen, he was chosen for a reason, and he would most certainly consult closely with SM, which would surely bring the final product into closer alignment with her descriptive vision from the book.
That’s a good point, I just assumed that they were briefed on the basic details of the dress before they submitted their sketches. However, you are all right, Zac is an amazing designer and how awesome that he might be designing for our little twilight movie. Wow we’ve sure come a long way from the prom dress bought from Ross with a grandmother’s sweater and leggings!
True but I gotta say I LOVE that she had that dress and sweater and leggings on for prom. Seems like Bella to me.
Me too. I thought her prom outfit was very Bella. (Except I do miss Alice kidnapping Bella & playng Barbie doll with her.)
Exactly, they’re not going to release the dress before everyone sees it in the film. And although Zac will be designing it, anyone is foolish to think that Summit/Stephenie are not going to have creative control over that dress. I think there will be a lot of collaboration on this, with the final word going to Stephenie. They’re not going to be like….”well, here ya go Zac…here’s a pen and paper, not GET TO IT”…
I don’t care who designs it as long as it’s beautiful & SM approves. Which I assume she will on the final one thanks to Kristen’s comment about SM being the final judge on the dress.
Well, based on what is on ANTM, if he makes the outfits they wear on there, I am scared! Some of the crap they put those skinny women in look like they got dressed in an alley diggin thru trash cans. Let’s hope this guy is not the only option.

True true. I know sm will have a lot of input but I do feel all of the dress detail should be her job since she has a vision from the book. The sketches are very nice everyone has a little detail to shine out from the rest. I’m sure whatever it is it will be beautiful.
