Kristen Stewart in Flaunt Magazine

Kristen Stewart did an interview with Flaunt magazine, showing off her sexy side in a cover photo.  From the preview of the first page of the interview, we can get a sense that the article will feature how Kristen has grown from what the author calls “teenybopper” films into her new persona capable of handling films like the gritty “Runaways.”  The first part of the article also starts to address the paparazzi’s obsession with Kristen.  Look for the article at your local newstand.

Kristen, Kristen, Kristen. You are a great young actress. Really happy to see that other people are starting to realize that too. And I actually never really saw her as a “teenybopper” actress. Most of her rolls were very adult subject matter. Nice job young lady. Keep makeing great films!

Notice how, no matter hard she tries, to shed the “Bella” persona, it is totally defining her career. She’s like Willian Shatner (who’s role as Captain Kirk of the USS Enterprise defines his career), She will always be Bella Swan .. no matter how great of an actor she is.

    • It really depends on how successful her other films are as whether or no she can shed Bella. I think many of us agree she is very capable of taking on other types of characters.

      Great shoot.

She pretty much only plays the angst girl. Other than films when she was very, very young, she’s played the troubled/angsty teen. Honestly, she has no range. (I’m ready for the barrage of rabid Kristen fans to insult me.) Maybe that will change in the future, but I don’t see it happening soon.

I disagree somewhat. It’s hard to even say something like that as she is still in the midst of making the Twilight Saga films. She’s done awesome films before and during – I think Twilight will be the catalyst for people to see her older work and for her new projects to be of interest to people that may have not previously sought out her work.
She is only just 20 – she will long outlive being Bella.

Any info on where we can pick up Flaunt? I called Borders here in Santa Barbara and they do not carry it. It would be appreciated!

she was never a “teenybopper” seriously…

  5. sara says:

Teenybopper actress? I never thought of her as that. She has had some very mature, emotional roles (Speak comes to mind). Loved her in The Runaways- it should have had a larger distribution than a few cities. I hope she continues to get offered bigger and better roles because I certainly enjoy watching her as an actress. I am hoping she gets the role in The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo! She looks beautiful in the photo shoot!

  6. trina says:

What’s up with her continually doing the ‘drug addict’ style photo shoots a la Interview? Yes, Kristen, we get that you don’t want to be seen as the next Vanessa Hudgens, etc, but don’t try so hard.

I understand what you mean. Personally I don’t think it’s the best look, but that might just be her style. Or the style her agent and image person want to play up…

    • sara says:

Funny, when Rob was recently in a magazine spread with naked models in various S&M poses and stating that he is allergic to vaginas, everyone either thought he was hot or had no choice. But Kristen is blamed for her photo shoot. When some hold women to a higher standard than men it is called a double standard.,

I think she would be great as Salander in the remake of girl with a dragon tattoo. I mean, Mulligan? come on. Either her or the original swedish lady, Noomi Rapace. She was fierce.
