I do respect Bryce D.H. but right now Ican’t get over the fact that she looks so differnt the Rachelle, who I love. Maybe after time I’ll she’ll grow on me but not right now.
When I first saw this trailer, I started crying and squeaking (not so good when you are in a silent college computer lab!). My friend next to me was laughing at me. I <3 this trailer and I am so excited for Eclipse! WHY DOES JUNE 30TH HAVE TO BE SO FAR AWAY?!
I love the look of the trailer, the colours are beautiful. I’m not really a fan otherwise, the lines are stupid and badly delivered by all the actors. I hope this all will work better in the final cut.
We only see a few seconds of Victoria and already i miss Rachelle. Does anybody else think Taylor has a hard time bringing emotion into his performance?
I can’t really say I’m disappointed, I didn’t expect it to be good. Well I was right. Melissa’s writing is horrendous as usual and I can’t stand the way Kristen and Rob deliver their lines. So sick of the voice Rob uses as Edward. Why can’t he just speak with his own voice? I know the lines are horrible but the actors aren’t making it any better. I’m in for two hours of unintentionally funny moments.. again.
Yikes! Take a deep breath-it’s only a trailer. Trailer’s can be cut anyway they need to be and not actually represent a movie properly. At least keep your mind open for the movie -you seem to have it crashing and burning in flames and it’s not even June 20th. Have faith my Twi-friend
I thought the trailer was great! With Twilight they realeased WAY too many clips/scenes/photos, New Moon was better.. I’m personally so thrilled they didn’t show a lot and kept it simple. I’m sure another, longer trailer will come out with more, but I almost wish it wouldn’t. I like to experience it all as a whole in the theaters! It was just enough to keep me anxiously waiting!! : )
It’s gonna be ok. Hang in there, you’ll see it- just have a little faith. The wait will make it that much sweeter and believe me- you won’t be disappointed
Ok, yesterday I said that 10 seconds didn’t even begin to quench my thirst. Today, I have no moisture left in my mouth and can’t seem to catch my breath.
I’m not going to speculate about the film or the director-I remember, all too vividly, the responses that were posted after the New Moon trailer first came out, some were brutal to read. For all the worry that people had about Chris Weitz taking the helm from Catherine and being *gasp* a man! who wouldn’t get the whole romance, etc. I LOVED NEW MOON and right now I’m not going to worry about Eclipse;I’m just gonna bask in it’s glorious shadow.
A trailer’s purpose is to catch your eye and spark your interest- not fully flesh out the entire movie. That’s exactly what this trailer has done for me.
I trust everyone involved in this franchise to realize what makes us love the Saga so much and to respect us as fans.

that was alright… a little too much emphasis on the action but at least they are making bella’s and edwards relationship more pronounced. Did anyone notice that Taylor lost his abs?? I have read the script and my favorite part is when Edward Proposes like in ‘compromise’ in eclipse…the screnwriter did a great job capturing that moment in edward’s room (although the scene seems to be a bit short) haha.

THE FIRST ONE. they will probably show the action for the next trailer. Nice balance between action shots and romantic rivalry. Loved Victoria’s leaps, etc, but when they went to her close up, there seemed to be this look of sweetness; not menacing at all. Perhaps that was due to whatever scene that shot is from I’m hoping, so I won’t judge (but I have to admit Rachelle is a hard act to follow). All in all, though, it was just ehough to wet my appetite and leave me wanting more. Can’t wait until June.

I don’t mind Bryce Dallas Howard as Victoria. It has never really bothered me that much since until now, she hasn’t been that big of a part in the movie. Only time will tell for my real feelings on her.
I do think the scenery and stuff like that looks good though. David Slade is pulling through for me on that. Oh, and can they put a t-shirt on Taylor Lautner? I don’t think he’s that attractive and I don’t scream and shriek when I see him without a shirt. :-p

I thought overall, this looked really good. I was never impressed with the New Moon trailers, this one to me is a better teaser than what we go with NM. I can’t really say much about DBH as Victoria yet. All we see is her jump and a quick glimpse looking up. Her wig is not the best, but that has been a probably the whole series. I was glad to see Lautner was able to ditch his horrible wig and go natural in NM. Whoever is working on the wigs needs to try and creat more realistic looking hair on these folks. I have to agree on Taylor’s emoting. He needs to vary his delivery; everything comes through clinched teeth, whispered and no varying level of pitch other than high. He is young and just learning the craft, so I cut him a break. But it does take away, for me, the level of enjoyment. NM was a disappointment for me, so I am hoping Eclipse brings back more of the relationships I felt.

The problem is, unless you are a diehard Twilight fan, you’re not going to know ANYTHING about the movie, based upon that trailer. Twihards know what is going on, because they’ve read the books 14,000 times and such, but if I was to show this trailer to a non-Twilight fan. They would be like…what? The first trailer IS important because it is to intice people to watch the movie. Twilight fans will watch it regardless. I’m almost convinced that if they stuck a jar a mustard with a picture of Edward on it, Twilighters would watch 2 hours of mustard. :p Not really…
The trailer just doesn’t say anything abou this movie. Eclipse is about Bella’s choice… A choice that could incite a battle royal between werewolves and vampires. A choice that pits Jacob against Edward… a choice that could put her entire family in danger. There is a lot of things they could have done, but instead we get vallum spoken lines, and pretty scenery… oh well…
That is interesting, I had the opposite opinion. I thought this seemed to be designed for people who had not read the books. And I thought it covered all the things that you said it did not cover (Bella wanting to become a vampire, the love triangle, and the problem with both Victoria and Volture). It left out things that would be “important” to people who have read the books, the tent scene and the newborns.

Kristen looks lovely. Taylor broke my heart with his teary red eyes… I just wanted to reach through the screen and tell him it was going to be ok.
