Did I miss something??? I can’t see any character in twilight dressing like any of those models..

  2. ashley says:

Erm…other than a few models looking like a sad excuse for a few of the characters and one or two PIECES of the full outfits, I see NOTHING in common with Twilight AT ALL.

  3. Jenny says:

Is there REALLY a lot of Scottish Gangstas out there? Really?!?? And WHAT was Twilight related??!? Yet another SILLY fashion show full of clothes no one will ever wear. *shaking head*

  4. Ashtin says:

um…hmmm…i dont get it honestly. i doubt edward would ever wear a skirt over his tight jeans. i dont see how thats inspired by twilight.

  5. urcoolcarrie says:

I don’t see how any of this is Twilight inspired…

  6. Ilu_una says:

This is a pretty good example, I think, of hype generation. The designers pick up on a huge trend, realize its potential and in fact, tried and tested market strength, send out whispers and notices that their new line is inspired by it.

When in proof of fact, it takes a long time to develop a fashion line. It is possible that they -were- inspired by Twilight, but I think they did it more for hype and attention. Otherwise, their line would have just been a blip on the fashion news radar… and as it were, I’m not sure it still isn’t.

The silliness of the shoddy digital graphic at the end just sends the point home that they were just doing it for show. But that’s the fashion world for you… stranger than fiction.

  7. Cynthia says:

ummmmm, well fashion is strange. if they say it was inspired by it – i suppose it doesn’t have to have ANYthing to do with the actual story. It just inspired the designer. Sure, why not?! the story inpired me too!

  8. Magiclily says:

    Yuck!!EW!! Gross!
I really don’t like men in skirts besides scots….though some of the models had nice pecs….maybe the designer meant the vampire bodies, not the story itself…hmmm….

  9. Sara says:

I want that jean skirt that one guy was wearing over pants… But without the pants… Edward in a skirt? *snorts*

  10. MeyaRose says:

That movie player did not work for me, it just played an ad and then stopped.

Have you noticed that flannel has come back into style since Twilight came out? Or rather, fake flannel, it’s not the thick cotton stuff. In the movie, Bella wears what we assume is her dad’s shirt, but now they are making them in more girly style with thinner fabric… Its kind of exciting, I’ve worn my dad’s flannel before, its a great style…

  11. morg says:

why is everyone saying tht they cnt see the characters wearing this? it says twilight INSPIRED tht means twilight inspired them to make it. its lk if a book inspires you to write one your self, its not gonna be the same as tht first book.

  12. AJ9 says:

I see a little bit of Edward-esque hair and a whole lot of oh-no-you-didn’t.

Sorry to be a hater. :(

  13. Lorraine says:

Um, those clothes look kind of ridiculous.

But maybe I just don’t know what real fashion is… haha.

  14. teamjasmett says:

LOL… twilight related :L i laughed so hard, especially the guy with the black panties on dancing, and im sure thats not in twilight! im sure we fans would have noticed rob/edward in some nut huggers.

I would laugh so badly if all the twi-hards started dressing like this :L man skirts, panties and strange trousers…

    very funny!!

    • arazcal says:

“nut huggers”?!!! she says as she wipes another tear from her eyes!!!! ROTFLMFAO!!! DId you happen to catch “Bella’s” throat guard, a.k.a. a giant scarf, twisted around a couple of the models! HEEHEEHEE. I’m laughing so hard i can’t see the screen ;)

  15. kendra m says:

That is terrible!! I don’t see any Twilight in any of that! It looks like someone needs to lay off the LSD and quit dreaming about the Scottish Highlands! LOL

  16. Erin says:

i think the tossled hair is the only similarity! thats awful

  17. JUDY says:

ALL THE MEN OF THE TWILIGHT SAGA WERE MUCH BETTER DRESSED!!!!!!!!!!

  18. melinda says:

that made me laugh out loud. holes in the sweaters and skirts on the men. Alice would never let anyone in her family dress like that.

  19. lexi says:

wtf?! who does that come anywhere close to twilight INSPIRED?! i dunn think anyone would wear that in twilight that makes no sense………….as ther person above me said would alice every let anyone in her family really dress lik that…uhh NOT

  20. shel says:

i can see where sum ppl think its not inspired but if u look hard enough u can tell that there was sum inspiration from the movies. I guess the most predominant articles were the blazers & the mixing of that w/ more modern stuff. And… did I see a hint of baseball uniforms in there?? haha. in either case, those models were sum delightful eye candy!lol =P

  21. katesinlove says:

Wow, that was some pretty messed up stuff. I could see a tiny semblance of Edward and Jasper in SOME of it but overall. . .

  22. Belice says:

O…..M….G…. I liked the comment about Scottish gangsters…LMAO… But I agree with everyones post about NOT being “Twilight-like” in the least, exceept for maybe some of the models. They all looked like the brooding vampires or werewolves. The one with the baseball hat & jeans was the most “Twilight-y” of all & that was cuz it looked like something one of the wolfpack’d wear…Since when do vampires wear short skirts or kilts???

  23. Swan says:

I fell off my chair at the dude in the torture mask.

  24. Cristy says:

Well I can’t say I liked the clothes too much, but the models were hot!

  25. Ashley G. says:

okay-the only thing i could see that Twilight might have inspired was the models hair, styled like Robert’s. otherwise….i have three words-
    what. the. heck

  26. Stefania says:

    AHAHAHAHAHAHA.

thats all i have to say.

  27. Barbara says:

Stephenie Meyer is probably calling her attorneys right now, trying to have the “Twilight inspired” removed from this “designer’s” line. (Note the quotation marks.) This wasn’t a fashion show, because there was NO FASHION. And what’s with the gansta rap crap? Now that just screams “Twilight” to me. I never want to know the identity of the idiot who came up with this fashion concept. I have two questions for the “designer:” 1. What were you smoking? 2. Did you inhale? What a travesty and an insult to this franchise. Shame of you, MTV, for airing this jerk’s 15 minutes of fame.

  28. Genevievech81 says:

WOW, not liking the skirts (kilts) on the dudes not a good look at all :(

  29. Ima says:

    Alice would so DISAPPROVE!!!!

  30. Amy says:

Here’s pictures of all of the looks: http://thefashionisto.com/blog/2010/01/fall-2010-frankie-morello/#more-50675

I don’t think much of this line, but I’ve definitely seen much worse and crazy :P And I do see some of the Twilightness, but honestly, people have been inspired by weirder things..

  31. Sarah says:

Fashion is an obscure art. You’re not going to “see Twilight” in it. If you did, it wouldn’t be fashion, it would be… A book cover. Or AMV. /shrug

  32. Heather says:

What? What about this is Twilight inspired I was thinking period pieces or something this is jsut scary

  33. Amber says:

Why are these men wearing skirts? Is anybody else a little creeped out by that?

  34. Taylor says:

Oh ya, Edward totally wears miniskirts 24/7.

  35. Cheylynn says:

Okay, if the theme is in the clothing somewhere I don’t get it at all. Edward’s hair was present in some of the models, and one even wore a suit style for Carlisle. The closest thing I saw that would be Twilight inspired was that some of the models were unhumanly beautiful. Did anyone see the second guy? WOW !!

  36. Kim says:

Not Twilight inspired from what I saw. Not to mention Edward does not do skirts ;)

  37. Switzerland says:

THIS IS RIDICULOUS. NO WONDER PEOPLE THINK TWILIGHT FANS ARE NUTS! THIS IS GOING TO FAR. this is one of the very reasons i don’t like to wear my love for twilight on my sleeve. i used to until all of the crazy hype, but now i can’t because everyone will begin to assume that i’m buying these products. it’s upsetting that it has come to this.

  38. Heather C says:

definitely not twilight inspired and a lot of this screams “YMCA”

  39. Fiona Cullen says:

I agree with Morg. Just because it says ‘Twilight Inspired’ that doesn’t mean the clothes had look like what characters in Twilight wore and it also doesn’t mean that the models had to have some kind of resemblance to Twilight characters. Inspiration does strange things in this case. But in saying that I think that this collection was quite hideous and I didn’t like it.
But I don’t think it is ‘not Fashion’, like some people said. This designers style is adventurous and that is good, I guess. I also get what Ilu_una is saying about ‘hype generation’.

  40. lacey says:

    think i just through up

    yeah i did

  41. Emily says:

ok I didn’t even finish watching this lol, I agree with Fiona Cullen, but even keeping that in mind these clothes are still weird…. I mean no offense but some of the clothes look like something a woman would wear, idk.. very strange…

  42. talia says:

EEW EEW EEW!! that has no resmeblance to twilight what-so-ever!!!!!!!!!!!

  43. Eristep1 says:

Between the guy wearing the sweater dress and the two in jeans so low the only that is keeping us from seeing their junk is suspenders makes this (in the words of a gamer) an EPIC FAIL!!!!! Seriously?!? Seriously!?! /facepalm

    • arazcal says:

I have to agree with several of the comments above- Alice would NEVER let a Cullen boy out of the house dressed like that.
As for “Twilight” being the inspiration- I get it- the only guys who could wear these clothes on the street and NOT get the crapped kicked out of them would be Vampires.
That being said there is really no chance in h*ll that non-sparkly guys would wear these clothes (even guys who have incredibly chiseled cheekbones and abs) not that i was a lookin’ ;)

Personally, I enjoyed seeing the “designs” Some of the items looked pretty good on the guy sportin’ it. skirts on a man, on the right man= yum.

  44. Jannieg says:

That was laughable at best. I am embarrassed for the models. I suppose the designer and fashion world would call this art. Only visible likeness to Twilight was the model’s hair and glass breaking (ballet studio) and vampires. I was inspired to leave a negative review.

  45. Anne says:

Wow. All you guys are complete idiots. Movies can be inspired by a true story and have nothing to do with it but have the same spirit. Fashion can be insipired by Twilight. The clothes have a gothic pretty boy/ sporty feel to them which I think captures it pretty well. I’m so tired of people on this site being so closed minded all the time.

    • Savannah says:

Hey! We all have a right to share our personal opinions, just like you have a right to disagree and state yours. But don’t call anyone an idiot, it just makes you seem childish.
      Peace

    • Sarah says:

      Agreed.

    • Ashtin says:

I completely agree with Savannah. Just because we don’t like the designs doesn’t make us idiots or closed minded. I think all of us understand the “spirit” of twilight. It doesn’t have to be exactly what the characters would wear, etc. But, I still fail to see the spirit of twilight in these designs. To me its just another way to cash in on the twilight craze. So, please don’t bash on people that have a different view point than you. If people like this designer then awesome, if they dont thats ok too. I think everyone understands fashion enough to know its interpretive, so ease up Anne. Savannah is right, it makes you seem childish and like you have a bad case of sour grapes. Just be happy!

  46. monica says:

honestly what was that? i get that maybe someone was inspired by vampires to do this line but maybe not quite twilight! The designer who did this does not have very good creative skills!

  47. Ciera says:

    Uhhh…. NOT CUTE!!! *narsty eww*

  48. Savannah says:

WoW. Even the models looked embarrassed to be wearing those rags!

  49. You can choose dark red highneck knitting sweater. Cherry red together with unique design will make you elegant. Find something small and hand-embellished charming little jewelry for yourself. Small cherry-shaped brooch echoes the colors and the design was very chic.

  50. Donna says:

    One word:

    STUPID.
